RE: Texas winterizing...

I don't understand why all the house flooding because of busted water lines. Do people not think anymore. You know your not going to have power for several days and know you have no heat and it's below freezing. Turn the dang water main valve off! At least you you may have to repair a busted pipe somewhere later but it's not going to flood the house. Running water doesn't freeze.

RE: popping/clicking noise from hot water heater?

Is it trying to fire up on gas?

Brady Bowl 10

So who's watching? What are your expectations? What you be your emotionally satisfying outcome? For me a game deciding FG attempt in the final seconds is always a great game no matter who's playing.

RE: Ram 1500 at Load Maximum Woes

Did you get rid of the squishey P tires? Sorry I did not research.

RE: Am I overloaded?

Giver. I'm pretty sure I'm farther over than that. Not that it makes it OK for you but in my experience you will be fine.

RE: Air Shocks

I put a set of air shocks on my 2011 Ram 1500. Works fine. I took out the old busted air bags a PO had installed. Don't worry about the shock mounts. They're only designed to counter act the weight of the truck through the shocks after all.

Put your ass in a brand new truck with your $17,000 downpayment.

RE: Traction Control Fault

Probably KO your ABS. Should not affect the base brakes.

RE: 2020-21 Chevy/GMC Continental tire recall

That's what they get for buying Continental tires.

RE: Tranny overheated

That is a symptom of clutch pack failure. Shut down and restart can reset the system temporarily.

RE: I am now "terricited"

12 guests on a boat that size may feel somewhat crowded. Being a tug would mean somewhat heavy for it's size with a low center of gravity. Should ride pretty good.

RE: Nascar Follies

There's your proof that the Nascar championship lottery doesn't work or mean much. They freaked out the year Kenseth won without a single race win. Now you have a man with 1/4 of the seasons wins not vying for the title. BTW if he passed Kyle it would have been 3 way tie and Kevin and Brad would be in, which wouldn't be fair either considering Denny's record.

RE: Over loaded pickup

The biggest problem I see is he has no weight left on the front axle.

RE: Dodge 1500b van

Don't let them scare you off with transmission talk. 727 automatic is as good a transmission as they come. I would be more worried about the floor in a B series van of that vintage.

RE: Water pump check valve.

Ok. So I looked in the cabinet last night and it is a 2088. Do these not come apart or are there just no service parts?

RE: Water pump check valve.

Thanks Old Biscuit. Looks like I'll be digging in soon. While I'm in there I had an idea. I recently replaced my water tank drain with a 3/4 one. I was thinking about using the 1/2 pipe and valve to make a by- pass of the pump to fill my tank from city water. Any reason that would be a bad idea?
