RE: Propane tank level monitor

I have the mopeka and very pleased except for battery life. Seems like I’m always replacing the batteries. I don’t know if the new ones come with the rubber/plastic donut for the bottom of the can or not. Mine came with metal feet which were a pain…replaced with the donut and much happier.

RE: Smaller Holding Tanks...What to do when NO hookups??

Is that 30 each black and gray or combined? If it’s 30 each that’s comparable to what we have now and it’s doable. Gray is always our limiting factor. As others have said just be careful how much goes down the drain. If possible, can wash dishes in a basin and dump that outside if possible or down the toilet if you have separate black and gray. You could also use one of the portable totes for dumping gray assuming the campground has a dump station.

RE: Mini Swamp Cooler (Arctic Air) - Legit?

I’m sure it works, I just wouldn’t expect it to put out a lot of cool air. I’ve used large portable swamp coolers and they work well and move a lot of air.

RE: Check in/out timing...

I’ve had someone pull up and ask how long I’d be in the site before leaving...even though it was about an hour before checkout. Then proceeded to impatiently wait right there blocking traffic.

RE: Check in/out timing...

“As I was setting up the guy in the site next to us came over and said "you're early".” That guy needs something else to do. Sounds like he should have been getting himself ready to leave by checkout time.

RE: Tires - for a truck...

Just had my second set of Toyo ATs installed on my CTD. Very pleased with them. I think I saw white letters as an option on them but maybe not on all sizes or load ranges. Can’t remember...

RE: Camping near water in AZ

Roper Lake in Safford has a nice campground. Not a huge lake but it’s nice.

RE: Coming back to rving!

Check out the Reflection 150 series by Grand Design...friend has one and has been very pleased. I’ll be giving them a good look for our next trailer.

RE: Newbie trailer owner, question on water pressure pump

If it’s in your side yard, why not just run a hose to it and not worry about fresh tank and water pump?

RE: What do you do?

The fire is a living thing, and it's never the same twice. Yep...never seen an episode of ranger TV I didn’t enjoy and never a re-run.

RE: Newer 5ers, Slider Hitch Required For Short Beds?

I agree that terrain seems to be the biggest contributor for me. I have a shortbed Ram and have always been pretty careful when backing. I now have a dent on one corner of the cab from a sharp turn backing into a spot on very uneven terrain while boondocking.

I don’t think any of us know your setup like you do...and the best way to find out is to hook it up and give it a try.

RE: Something I've not seen before.

Try searching your own name...I know searching other people will pull up their posts and I think comments from groups, so maybe you can find your own...?

RE: Something I've not seen before.

And people want to use FB instead of a regular forum. Thanks, but no thanks. Did you know that there is an upcoming merger of 3 of the social media platforms? Yeah, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook are all joining to become one. They're going to call the new company YouTwitFace! :B:B That happened a couple of years ago and included’s called MyFaceYouTwit :B

RE: Gander Outdoors

At campfires, at the many RV Parks, we have visited, 95% probably, but none objected as talk turned to hunting and fishing. Everyone hunted and or fished. People who RV are outdoor types in general is our experience. The two types of stores mesh real well, if properly stocked with variety and prices and service are good! Problem is there is not one nears us and we have near $400.00 on a merchandise card and don't need anymore RV merchandise. Went to the website, and one was supposedly in Knoxville. Drove all that way and not hide nor hair of it or another site listed by by Sarrie? GPS says nearest is over 700 miles away in Ohio. Not real logical sicne90% of Tennesseans hunt and fish. Now that the same group who owns Bass Pro and Cabelas is buying Sportsmans Warehouse, no competition to speak of. Sale is supposed to be completed by fall. If Marcus puts someone who lives and eats in the outdoors,so to speak,Someone who knows what Hunters, Trappers,Boaters,Kayakers,Canoeists, and Fishermen, and Backpakcers want, a huge fortune awaits! One Store Mgr or a Corporate computer operating on numbers does fill the needs and wants of the many different Customers, at would evolve into a large store, kind of like Sears used to be. you can't insist on a certain profit margines regardless of quality, seasons change and so forth.not everyone wants the same do-dad or gadget...Variety,quality and service means returning Customers and huge profits. Remember when every Saturday we went to Sears for...everything under the sun? Agree on the potential opportunity with Bass Pro buying both Cabelas and Sportsman’s Warehouse. I don’t know where you’re located, but there used to be a Gander off I-40 in Jackson, TN. I haven’t driven through there in a couple years so it may not be open anymore.

RE: Fresh h2o backing up and overflowing fresh h2o holding tank

When I’ve had this happen before it was the check valve in the water pump failing. Solution can be to take it apart and clean the pump. The first time it happened to me the dealer just replaced the pump under warranty.
