Onboard air and airbag install

I decided to go with onboard air and separate air/manifold for airbags. I bought the Air Lift 25980EZ WirelessONE (2nd Generation) with EZ Mount and VIAIR Constant Duty Onboard Air System - 10007 I went with 1" steel straps to attach the hardware to the frame, as I wasn't sure I'd keep everything where it was and didn't want to drill all over the frame. I was able to attach to the upfitter switches, which is great, and I ran the air intake line into the cab of the truck. This was accessed between the bed and the cab, and you can pull the liner away from the back and see the vent. I bought a rubber mat that I'll install in front of all the hardware to keep junk from the tire getting all over the items. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.ford-trucks.com-vbulletin/1297x975/img_20210908_131645_082dd9294aa0bf5ba442327021ec2ecf0022ff93.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.ford-trucks.com-vbulletin/732x975/img_20210908_131710_4b23021274cd920ae09c36969a481ec9c52edf05.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.ford-trucks.com-vbulletin/732x975/img_20210908_162552_1ad213f9dfc475377e2d6e25f673b4c5ffd5d1dd.jpg The quick connect I'll run to the back by the license plate.

RE: 12v dehumidifier

We manage our mouisture in the rig. When we wake up and there is some moisture on the inside of the windows, we know it's too wet inside (and I have sensors showing the % of humidity). We don't always have moisture on the windows, but my kids are allergic to mold so we manage it very strictly.

Do they exist?

DC to DC charger

hey all, I am thinking of putting a 30a charger in my truck to charge the LiFePO4 batteries in my rig. Is there any kind of formula about how many amps the charger can be by how much your alternator produces? I have a 270a alternator so thinking I'll be more than fine.

RE: Scary moment towing my 5er around Denver last week

https://i.imgur.com/hDTAgbgl.jpg Thats a strange looking tag, looks like they were confused or brake checking you. looks to me like a temporary tag. I bet that could be made legible if desired. bumpy If the OP could get the raw video to someone, I'd bet they could clean it up enough to read the tag. Not many YT videos are posted in full resolution. Lyle What do you need the tag for?

RE: Scary moment towing my 5er around Denver last week

I do think we should demand tighter controls on who gets and keeps a drivers license. yep, that's what we need allright. more govt. red tape and regulations. :S bumpy Ya , that would be crappy saving life’s :R I do hope you're kidding on this one. If you think for 30 more seconds after this thought pops into your brain, you'd figure for yourself why it's so naive.

Airbags and Compressor and Tank

I am looking for a way (I cannot be the first person) to have a compressor that airs up my airbags and also has a port to plug a hose into for airing up my tires. I get the concept of having a nice compressor and tank attached to my frame, but what controller would I put in between the tank and the bags?

RE: toy hauler 5th wheel

Closest thing I've found is a Fuzion 379. Is there anything else similar? Main things we need (If a TT has these I'd get it) 11' + garage W/D hookup < 40' max tow is around 16500# Open kitchen layout (preferably cross seating) Decent storage in and/or out

RE: toy hauler 5th wheel

Makes sense, thanks for the feedback. I know the Grand Designs are generally better built, especially living in full time. We checked out their Momentum line and didn't like the floor plans. We're in a Rockwood Signature right now, so kind of the same thing. However, as well as this is built, they don't innovate and have a terrible cabinet layout.

RE: toy hauler 5th wheel

Thanks, we're leaning toward a Keystone Fuzion with an 11' garage and nice sized kitchen. Besides the Fuzion and Momentums, what are the high quality toy haulers?

toy hauler 5th wheel

Hey all, looking for a toy hauler 5th wheel. My primary needs are large bunk for my kids (2 over 6') and decent kitchen for the wife. Also need washer dryer hook ups. We looked at a grand design today with a 14.5 garage and it was nice. Need a better kitchen though, there was no room beside the oven, but the counter (if you turned around) was big. Any brand to look at beside grand design? Who makes the "best" toy hauler?

RE: Looks like electric trucks and RVs may be delayed...

Elon, welfare king. I can't take anything in that article seriously with that amount of bias. What happened to journalism? We are left with activists. After the ProPublica release of the tax data on Musk, Bezos and the others, does anything from the article seem dishonest? If bias is all it takes to disregard an article, then the Times, CNN and all the other networks must also be similarily disregarded. The point is most of these outlets insist they aren't bias. I suffer no delusions about how corrupt and evil corporations become, the point would be if we as a people refuse to accept it. Right now it seems if we agree with the bias we're ok with it. Anyway, I agree with a lot of the people here posting that selective outrage is going on here. Bottom line though, does the end justify the means? Will we end up with an electric motor home or tow vehicle that has reasonable range? If we do, is it worth the immoral and unethical behavior? We put up with this behavior daily, with plenty of other companies.

RE: LP or electric on a meter

I found this link several years ago. Can't vouch for the figures but it looked like someone did their homework. http://www.adventure.1tree.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=292&Itemid=285 Good info everyone thanks. Great link too. I'll do some calculations and go from there. The inconvenience doesn't factor in, since my campground has propane fill and it's $25 for a 30#'er.

RE: LP or electric on a meter

Back in April (when it was cold) I was using 1 30lb / week LP. The ppl here at the campground said it'd be cheaper than electric. I suppose the question would be, is the fridge and hot water cheaper on LP too? I have not received my first bill yet, so I am not sure how much they're charging / KWh

RE: Looking for TPMS Recommendation

This is $370 for 4 sensors and the display. https://www.amazon.com/Sensor-Monitoring-System-Color-Display/dp/B078TNXBXB I have been using it for 2 trips to FL from CT and more. Great so far.

LP or electric on a meter

RE: To portable dump tank or not to portable dump tank...

This site is grey hookups but black pump, so I'd be portable dumping black.

To portable dump tank or not to portable dump tank...

that is the question. I am at a seasonal site right now (my first) and we're in a low lying area so I have to pay $20 a week to get pumped, or pack up and dump myself. I've been looking into a portable dump tank, should I do it? I am traveling a bit but will be here until October.
