RE: DirecTV or Dish

I would think if Direct wanted to keep you as a customer they would give you the equipment you need. If you are otherwise happy with them call them and explain that they are forcing you to go to Dish by not supplying you with a receiver. I have Dish and am happy. I use a receiver out of the house and an antenna on a tripod for the trailer. I have heard more people complain about radical price increases after the "Honeymoon Period" is over with Direct than I have with Dish. Ask for the "Loyalty Dept" or "Customer Retention Rep" when you call.

RE: New truck batteries

Duracell are made by EastPenn Mfg. Same as a Dekka. Great batteries for the money. Check Baterries Plus if you have one. Order online and pick up in store and save 10%. Sometimes makes them cheaper than Walmart or Sam's Club.

RE: Quartzsite and....eggs

Doesn't seem to be much planning at the few stores that are there. Last year thy were out of ice for 2 days while we were there.

RE: Odd thing happening.

Would not surprise me. We have an Amazon smart plug that loses it's wifi connection when the microwave is on and my laptop looses it's internet connection as well. They all operate on the same (or close to) frequency so the microwave must leak enough to disrupt the signal. Maybe your light is interpreting the wave as movement.

RE: Florida to Yosemite

If you don't have reservations for Yosemite by now you probably won't. Coming from the south route(41) you could stay at Bass Lake and make a day trip to Yosemite. Others I'm sure can suggest alternatives. Sequoia will be best if you stay outside the park and take your toad into the park. Sequoia Ranch is a great place that is close to the entrance. Don't know much about Joshua but I believe it will be boondocking. Have a good trip. We took 40 to Mo this past summer and it worked out well.

RE: Rt 99 Thru Bakersfield

Seems like every trip we take requires us to go east. 99 to 58 is the best route we have found and we haven't experienced that bad of road doing so. Other than the 3 year plus construction project at the transition of 58 from 99 I think it's pretty good road.

RE: Busy year

Nice job. Can you provide details on spice rack behind stove. Does it block vents? What keeps it there?

Shurflo Revolution and Seaflo variable, both 3 GPM are rated very well. Others on this forum have recommended them in the past.

RE: Graceland RV Park & Campground

Nice place. Walking distance to Graceland. You can walk across the street to the hotel and take the shuttle to Beale Street which is better than driving and trying to find parking.

RE: Water heater question

As the anode rod breaks down it drops a lot of particles in the bottom of your tank. I don't believe you will ever fully drain/flush your tank using the rod with the drain.

RE: Adj. water pressure regulators

When using the FW tank the pump can be turned off when not in use. Good idea and easier than going out and turning city water supply off. I am one who has drank the "kool aid" and gone with the Watts 263A with oil filled meter. One of the best improvements we have made. I still turn the city water supply off when we leave the campsite for the day.
