RE: Nifty shower shelf

Do you leave it there as you drive?

RE: RV Vinyl Trim Insert Sizing

Since you plan on replacing it pull it out of the track near the end and get a true measurement. Look at your end points as you may need to order some lapseal for the roof and proflex for the body ends.

I was just going to post a similar question. Mine (Dometic 13.5) seems like it has a momentary loss of power (although it doesn't) and then starts again. It does this several times also and then runs fine. Have fan on auto. Interested if we both have same problem.

RE: do you buy the replacement ins on your tires

At Discount or America's Tire I buy the certificate for everything except the spare. Hopefully it will never touch the ground and be replaced due to age only.

RE: RV moulding

What kind of moulding are you looking for? Where does it go?

RE: Narrowed it down to 2

So are there any potential issues with the fridge being in the slide that I should be aware of? Rv refrigerators are not the most efficient things out there, but do work well when installed correctly. When in a slide they have no vent stack. With proper installation and correct spacing to create the draft you need to your upper vent and thermal activated exterior fans they can work well. But with the workmanship in an rv it's a crapshoot. It's not the refrigerator, it's the installation.

RE: They Better Not Screw Us Up

If it does happen, there will be a lot of dead morons on the property..... I think you are correct. Wounded Knee will no longer be the largest massacre of civilians in U.S. history.

RE: Narrowed it down to 2

I have a Surveyor and love it. They are not a top end trailer but you get a lot for your money. Right now Azdel is more of a marketing buzz word. Not all of the walls in a Surveyor (or most trailers) are made with Azdel. I would buy another if I was in the market, although my first choice would be a Lance. With 60 or more product lines Forest River is bound to have some bad reviews. Keep in mind that more people post negative reviews than positive. As stated, all brands (even the very best) will have problems. I've looked at the GD and they look very nice. I am also one who does not like the frig. in the slide out.

RE: Manufacturers offering Barrel Ceilings?

Grand Design and some Forest River products like the Surveyor have them.

RE: How are Power King tires?

They don't call them "BlowMax" for nothing. Mine came with them but I replaced them. Larger sizes may have new tread cap system. If yours does they may be ok.

RE: Norcold frig connection for 12v lead for fan

Don't think on a Norcold you can hook to light so most common way is to run wire thru drain tube and hook to 12v at power block behind refrig.

RE: Motor homes and earth quakes.

If the worst is past is one thing, but do we know it is over? Why go to where you could become another burden to a damaged infrastructure? With floods, tornados, hurricanes and earthquakes, if we thought like that our RV's would never leave the driveway.

RE: Electrical help!!

Have you checked the tv and microwave. They usually get zapped as well.

RE: Motor homes and earth quakes.

Yes I'm a Californian with quake experience but just not in the motor home. I'm not concerned with damage to me but to the coach. It would take a major earthquake to be any worse than what California's roads do to your MH as you drive every day.

RE: Motor homes and earth quakes.

In or near the Central Valley of California there has been 3836 earthquakes in the last 30 days with a magnitude of 1.5 or greater. 3638 in the last 7 days and 955 today. How many have we actually felt? 2 to 4 for most of us. Many more for those at the epicenter.(Ridgecrest) Don't worry about it. You have a far greater chance of a Prius running into you entering the freeway than having a problem with an earthquake. recent quakes

RE: Duracell 6 volt batteries

Batteries Plus usually has a deal that if you order online and pick up in store you save 10 per cent. Same batteries as Duracell at Sam's Club but may be labeled a little different.
