RE: Idaho Route

At Twin Falls, there is Rock Creek County RV Park. Water and electric. We use it quite frequently. Also the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds in Filer also has many RV site available if there is nothing going on at the fairgrounds. $106.00 for a week.

RE: Tires

I believe if you go with a "G" rated tire, you will need 110 lb. PSI wheels. Tire Rack and Simple Tire show XPS Ribs available. Also go on Discount Tires site, that is where I always get mine. Put a new set on May 2019 at a Henderson, NV. Discount Tire shop.

RE: aluminum flat bed

Check with your insurance agent. In some states a flatbed is considered commercial. Don't know about the Keystone state.

The Ivy League doesn't have the same problems as the SEC!

RE: Nascar Follies

Bucky, luck also has a lot to do with it. Without at least an hour of practice, there is no telling what the Badyear Tires are going to do. Also, how many times had Brandon Poole been on the pit lane at Indy. It is a recipe for disaster.

RE: RV Shopping

No matter what you look at, be sure to bring the slides in and see what you can or cannot do with them in. Can I get to the pottie etc.

RE: Yellowstone in October

garyp, ordinarily I'd go along with you. But this case here is that there is a residential subdivision next to the Forest Service C/G and that is where the problem started a number of years ago according to a Ranger.

RE: Yellowstone in October

We went in the west gate this AM at 8:20. Only stop at was to show drivers license and Old Farts Card. Get in before 9 AM and your good to go. When we went past some of the popular attractions it sure was different to see no tour busses parked. Another thing to remember about late September and early October, not only colder, day light is much shorted, longer dark nights. The Forest service closed Rainbow Point CG today. It was because of grizzly activity. I believe rigs are parked all over the West Yellowstone area. https://billingsgazette.com/lifestyles/recreation/campground-near-yellowstone-closed-by-grizzlys-presence/article_4127f95f-b051-556e-a9f7-66d6f1cf1612.html#tracking-source=home-top-story-1

RE: Yellowstone in October

slippery rock, this AM. at 11:15 traffic was backed up into the second street of West Yellowstone. I have seen it extend a little further a couple of times but it was also near the 4th. If people would get up, grab a slug of coffee, or get out of the 3 Bear Pancake house before 9 AM. they wouldn't have this problem. Also another thing to remember there are no Asian tours this summer. Seems really different not to see the cruise busses. Also the Chinese restaurant in West that catered to the bus trade is boarded up. Another, was not open yesterday at lunch time.

RE: Adding on board Generator

You only have about 2 choices for an onboard genny, Onan or Generac. A number of years ago, Honda made an onboard RV genny. It was water cooled and never really got established in the RV market onboard picture. If Honda would bring out a genny to match the size, etc. of aforementioned gennys, those two would be out to pasture. I have an Onan Marquis Gold 7000 gas in our fiver. It will pull two AC's, hot water heater and numerous other things. But one thing to remember is an Onan is like an old woman, needs a lot of TLC.

RE: Generator Sound/fire box

When I put an Onan in our fiver, that wasn't generator prepped here is what I did. First of all I'm glad it wasn't prepped. Later saw some of the same make fivers prepped, no thanks. I measured for the "firebox", and layed out what I wanted, then took the layout to a Sheetmetal shop. He did what I wanted, there were several pieces, sides and top. I brought it home and installed it. Has worked well for 17 years. Wasn't a hard job at all if you are handy.

RE: Nascar Follies

Well we will see how the "doubleheader" and X-Finity at Pocono turns out. With the times listed for starting for the Cup it could be a replay of the last couple of weeks. Mike Joy's "pop-up showers" are very prevalent at the old water cress farm on top of the mountain. But since Fox dictates start times and about the only income FRANCECAR has in these times they have to go with it.

RE: The newest and shortest Interstate...

Sure is nice in Boulder City too. Got the thru truck and tour busses out of town. And I know the truckers and trucking companies happy also. Unfortunately they have had numerous wrong way crashes in that short stretch of road. Watching that on the inet being built was great.

RE: Nascar Follies

At first shot, it sure will look different with the car number near the rear wheel and the sponsor on the door at the All Star Bristol deal.
