RE: Cummins Onan P2500I Inverter Portable Generator

I looked at this unit at Quartzite in January. A vendor had them along with other RV items. On the box "Designed and Engineered in Indianapolis, In. by Cummins/Onan. Manufactured in China". While standing there, a fellow fired it up. Sure sounded louder than a Yamaha/Honda. We started walking on down the aisle and somebody must have plugged something into the unit. Then it got really louder. Of course I didn't have my DB meter with me. If not going with Honda/Yamaha, I'd be going to Harbor Freight.

Sprint cars ran as usual in Penna. over the weekend. Lincoln, Port Royal, and Williams Grove. Kyle Larson's hired shoe won at the Grove. https://www.pennlive.com/sports/2020/03/despite-statewide-coronavirus-shutdown-pennsylvania-governor-tom-wolf-says-he-wont-force-dirt-tracks-to-cancel-races.html

RE: All Quiet On The Western Front!

Bagman, while PSU cancelled everything, die hard PSU fans are on a Celebrity Cruise with Sue Paterno. Go figure! https://www.publicopiniononline.com/story/sports/college/penn-state/football/2020/03/12/penn-state-football-legends-sue-paterno-cruise-ship-fans-coronavirus/5032744002/

RE: Nascar Follies

Well Fox doesn't need to worry about cameras scanning the seats at Atlanta and Homestead. There won't be any butts in the seats anyway.

RE: Glacier National Park Info

I just took the easy way, the path of least resistance. And since this wasn't going to be a one time drive on the road, I used the KISS theory.

hornet28, they didn't measure, I self measured. It was over, not by much, but I sure didn't want to have to fool around when approaching the entrance. Easy enough to pull the pin and pull rack out and let at RV park.

If they aren't at a park event, their still on somebody's patio for Happy Hour.

RE: Glacier National Park Info

Not a problem but can be close at places due to continuous construction. I had to take the front bike rack off on our 2003 Dodge Dually Quad Cab, 8 ft. bed to clear the length measurement. And also second Polebridge.

RE: 2005 alfa see ya 5th wheel

On our 38 footer, there is a fuse panel on the right side of the walk-in closet in the bedroom. If I can be of more help just ask or PM me.

Having an '04 Alfa fiver, I believe you will find the thermostat is 12 volt. Did the landing jacks work when you hooked up or unhooked?

RE: Water softner setup

I run the filter before the softener. You really don't want "bits and pieces" going in your softener.

RE: Water Heater Relief Device

No, it isn't normal but if the water heater is heating the water too hot it will open to release pressure.

If noise bothers you, Virginia Beach, has 24 hours of the "Sounds Of Freedom"! Had friend that went there and all he did was cuss the jets. Oh well!

RE: Nascar Follies

Cloud, you bet I directly blame FRANCECAR! Their stupid rules and wanting to produce an IROC style of racing. They want the cars equal, so that is on them. Let the crew chiefs decide what shocks, rear end gear, etc. they want to run. And of course the green-white-checkered was created to create chaos. And please don't give me the deal with super speedways can't produce good racing. But all it is now is freight train lines since the cars are equal. And if rules aren't changed when the Gen 4 cars come out it will only be worse.

RE: Nascar Follies

Thomas, you are so correct! Like you said "pop-up" showers as Joy and Gordon call them aren't as prevalent in the winter. But yes, move the starting time back to 1 like they did for years. Speaking of "pop-ups" they also interfered with the Twins starting. They use to start at either 10 or 11 AM with grunt and growl seating and the joint was packed, no seat removals necessary. Use to be the 2 best races of the week. Now they are so watered down, what purpose do they serve? Of course with the late starting times that is the by-product of turning control over to TV. Yes Cloud, I'll blame FRANCECAR until they sell and we who use to go enjoy playing the blame game. I wonder what words of wisdom Steve Phelps will have on his radio show. I know one thing, we will be taken on a trip and never leave our seats!

RE: Pennsylvania Route Recommendations

Like gbop said, use the worthless overpriced turnpike. As a 50 year plus resident of Chambersburg it is better to pay the fiddler. And as a matter of fact C-burg is no picnic either.

RE: Electric Fire Places

If you are considering using an RV park where you pay for power, think hard about it.
