VA rt 822 to Goose Point Park on Phillpott lake

This mountain goat road runs about 5 miles to the CG off of VA 57. There is no other access to the CG. I guess they never heard of switchbacks. Luckily we drove up in the car to check it out for something to do during the Covid. Phillpott is a lovely COE lake and worth the drive provided you don't have a big heavy 5er. I'm thinking 26 ft TT or smaller.

RE: Social Security and Mailing Address flagged as Commercial

Showing them a SS card would be problematic in this instance. :)

RE: No More RVIA Shows

Maybe they are just tired of holding the hands of the cry baby dealers to put this thing together for zero financial benefit. I don't blame them, the need has passed.

RE: Needs multi-platform website monitor for son's online usage

The key is to block everything and then allow certain sites. Proxy sites can get around everything else. You will die of old age before you can b lock everything one at a time.

RE: Flipping Axle

Raising a trailer may make your AC units disappear. Be aware of the new height that will result before raising the unit. As to the brake comment I hope they forgot the smiley face.

RE: 72 ounce steak and potato and salad

We've been there and it's a hoot. The contestants are up on a raised platform with a giant LED countdown display like it was New Years Eve. You don't have to eat the shrimp tails or the potato skins Nobody won when we were there but one guy did eat 50 ounces of the 72 required. I didn't even try but I did eat the 22 ounce sirloin and it's accessories. They have 14 older limos with long horns on the hood and they will come pick you up at your camp site and take you back for free. Please tip the driver.

RE: Nascar Follies

Looks like SHR is waffling on Kyle Larson. As of yesterday Boyer was not signed but a statement came out that they intended to stay with the current line up.

RE: six and six in florida

I have to eat my words. Click the link for details but Old Mill Stream isn't the balmy keys but it's approximately as far south as Daytona and inland. The 6 and 6 cheapest rate is the amount quoted before if paid in full. The cheapest monthly is $806 and that is state park money without all the hassles. clicky

RE: Goodyear Marathon tires- Ever get reimbursed?

I called Goodyear earlier this year about any possible recall on Marathons mounted on a 5er when I bought it 1/1/2020. I gave them the DOT codes on the tires and was told that they were not Goodyear tires.I don't remember the codes now but they started with 2Y IIRC. The amount of counterfeit stuff out there makes me wonder. Nothing surprises me anymore.

RE: Nascar Follies

All the great ones come out of the box a little rough. Say DW, Dale Sr, Rusty, not to mention others. I think Reddick is the real deal, but time will tell. Childress has the teams running way better than in past years, heck Ty was running up front.

RE: six and six in florida

I can't imagine why a FL camp ground would tie up a site for 6 months with little or no income. Maybe in PA they do?

RE: Teaching Your Spouse How to Pull a Trailer

My beloved has hit (and I mean hit, not bumped) a parked handicap van, and torn the fender off of a boat trailer and then said she didn't do it until we got home and the marker light was laying in our driveway. Not to mention riding the white line on the right side of 2 lane roads while I'm flinching every time we get near a mailbox. Oh, and tailgating. No thanks honey, I'm good. She has many many good points and skills but driving isn't one of them. Good luck with yours.

RE: Will honda 2000 start a 15k BTU air conditioner?

Is the converter off with the fridge and water heater on propane? If so you have a better maybe. 2000 watts is almost 17 amps. There are 13.5K ac units everywhere, do a search.
