RE: Looking for portable electric space heater for rv!

Just remember your heated underbelly is not being heated doing this. Get another one for that area for when temps plummet.

RE: Busted!

Agreed to buy our first boat years ago over a weekend.
Went to the bank at lunch Monday, paid, and took the boat home.
Left it in the driveway and went back to work.
Came home to a violation.
At least one neighbor had nothing better to do I guess.
I did get the last laugh however. One of my pals in the neighborhood had a corner lot and a boat. One street side compliant, one side not. We laughed for years watching that "Karen" spit nails. Didn't stop her from calling. They finally warned her to desist.
Good luck with whatever solution you use with your RV.

RE: Collecting 5th wheel Tow Data, just for fun, 2000 mile trip

Here's my take on this very unsafe meaningless guessing game.
So a 2003 Ford F350 goes by. 100 yards across the center divider well treed at a closing rate of 130 mph? It's too far away to hear, so is it a 7.3 or a 6.0? Good luck with that.
How about a 2007 Dodge? They were still Dodges then. 5.9 or 6.7? Good luck with that one as well.
LBZ GMs were also a mixed bag. They had a pretty short run all things considered and overlapped model years as well.
May as well include color, lifted or not, 4WD or not, etc, etc.
Your wife is going to tell you something after you interrupt her reading, napping, and talking on the phone long enough.

RE: DRV height

What is the ground surface at the entrance. Is it something that can be scraped down. A pic of the structure would help.

RE: Insurance on a 2021 Fifth Wheel

Each state has their own insurance laws and rates. Make sure whoever you are talking to knows that you are in TX. If that's a faux address it can get tricky. Comp will probably be a different policy than your truck policy.

RE: The mac daddy of bike rack overload?

I have intimate knowledge of these junk pull out racks. A good friend has one of these on his 5er and has had nothing but trouble. He won't even use it anymore for the bouncing before he lost 2 bikes. But just for the naysayers who say the rest of us are busy body's or whatever here are some weights involved.
Gen 260 lbs (per web site)
Propane 110 lbs for 2 full 30 pounders (per interweb lookup)
Spare tire and wheel 75 lbs (65 of which is lookup wheel est at 10
Aluminum cover 15 lbs (est)
------------------
Total 460 lbs Plus the 150 lbs the manufacturer states the rack weighs. One SC I95 expansion joint and this is throwing sparks down the road.

The mac daddy of bike rack overload?

This on CL here locally this morning.
clicky
I'm thinking I95 in SC would make short work of this.

RE: Twelve dollars well spent !

In 1972 a coworker was blasting country all day in the shop. "You've got to kiss an angel" was the big hit then and moved me away from rock and into country. It's funny how country is almost rock now.
RIP Mr. Pride.

RE: I-75 in GA - Accident Prone

The idiots are out in force alright. In Raleigh there are I40 and beltline closures almost every day. Police presence is almost non existent and the aggressive drivers know it.
The officers don't want to get Covid (can you blame them) in a contact and on top of that the retirement rate has been very high due to the way they have been treated lately.

RE: anybody camp at reidsville state park N.C

That is a city park, not a NC state park. About half the sites have full hook ups. The rows closer to the water do not. City residents pay a cheaper rate, and seasonal sites are available. There is a dump station.
It's a pretty little park, and the town of Reidsville isn't far away with anything you might need.
The fishing must be good, when we were there on a weekday to check it out there were several boat trailers in the parking lot by the ramp.
