RE: Accidentally plugged into 220v

Make it 11, you might have to go into the archive to find it at 12. I'm going to put a reminder in my phone at 11 months just in case I forget.

RE: California Non-commercial class A license ***New question***

NC runs license checkpoints all the time. Usually on 2 lane roads near large neighborhoods and small towns. As many people are driving without them (or insurance) anymore I fully support the practice.

RE: Baltimore area campground

The next generation has taken over at Merry Meadows. They changed the name probably to hide the fact that it had terrible reviews before they took over. We stayed there to visit our daughter while she was at McDaniel and never went back. I have never seen so many rules in my life. Every time someone did something they didn't like they made a sign about it. There was even one sign about the size of an old wooden coat rack standing on a empty concrete pad and it read something to the effect of no playing, dancing only. That one made me laugh out loud, like 3 year olds can read. Hopefully it's better now, the location is good for the OP.

RE: Who has sold everything and started rving for life

Are you saying I could have charged my kids for storage for all the stuff they left behind when they started their own adult lives? Darn it! :R

The buy local fallacy

Does it really matter which RV dealer has your unit for 3 months to replace whatever widget broke? Does it really matter when the brand and model you want only has one dealer within 400 miles according to their dealer locator and they closed 3 years ago? The problem is the manufacturer, not the dealer. They may as well be insurance companies the way they try to sidestep paying for anything and then cheating the repair shop if they are found at fault.

RE: Bent Kingpin?

Of all the replies, I have not seen anyone asking if the Pin Box might have lost a couple of the mounting bolts and it has rotated upward. If the OP can see the mounting bolts, check them to be sure all the bolts are still in place. Good point. The OP did state that adjustments were made. Wouldn't it be nice if it was that simple?

RE: Nascar Follies

The NASCAR awards ceremony is on NBCSN Thursday night. While the newer shows are nothing compared to the glory days of drivers coming up with some hilarious speeches it may be worth watching. I'll DVR it so I can make up my own mind. Dale Jarrett had one of the best speeches ever.

RE: Stabil or Seafoam for long term gas can storage?

You need a search lesson or 500. lazy mans search results haha You don't have to pretend you searched, just ask the question. We will all help anyway.

RE: RV storage - how much room is needed?

I would angle that drive towards the direction from which you want to back in. Straighten it out after you get it in the drive. A 13 foot wide road is nothing and that ditch isn't going to help.

RE: Dutchmen Atlas or Keystone Cougar

The same people build them all. The higher prices don't insure better quality, only that there are more things that can fail. Until the RV industry is regulated like cars and trucks it will not get any better. We are all addicted to the RV lifestyle and they will do what they want in the meantime.

RE: Dash camera recommendations

Vexing V1. One in each vehicle. One of them ended an argument quickly once the responding Officer viewed the video. BTW never be involved in an accident in SC unless you are a resident and have hours to wait for a Trooper while local LEOs whiz by. And then at the time you had to mail them a check to get a copy of the accident report so the insurance co will pay. Everything else is on their website but accident reports. What is this, 1975? The accident was in Oct of 2018, maybe they've changed that nonsense.

RE: is this enough truck to replace my F150 ECO?

I saw this in How to Blow a Million Dollars the easy way. Pretty slick though. Pardon me, just read the link. 7 million dollars! Cool but what a waste.

RE: $600K Of Marijuana Seized in MH Near Joliet, IL

Sweet Thing and I are in a service club that invited some Police Officers to speak at a meeting. Their presentation was almost completely about how to detect meth production in our neighborhood. They were very concerned about heroin and crack as well but the clues are much harder to spot than meth production due to the odor similar to cat urine. Houses have to be torn down in some cases. They stated that there was absolutely no concern about pot at the individual level other than impaired driving. Pot will be federally legal very soon as it seems to be on the radar scope of politicians in the coming election. After all in their eyes votes are votes and they don't care how they get them.
