RE: New truck batteries

I've read through these threads and have seen DEKA, EAST PENN, DURACELL, etc. Please know EAST PENN MANUFACTURING is DEKA BATTERY. I live a few miles away from their plant. They make over 160,000 batteries per day, and employ 4,000 employees. Their sales last year were over 3 billion dollars. They are by far our nations largest battery manufacturer. THEY ARE FAMILY OWNED!!! I am happy to say we locals buy blemished batteries at half cost! I just bought 2 new 1,000 CCA batteries for my 2006 Dodge Ram diesel. Seven years ago I bought new batteries for my truck, they just died 7 years later. I know many people who work there and I hear their stories. A great place to work, a great work ethic. When the occasional nitwit gets hired they aren't there long because they negatively affect attitudes and team work. You can buy with confidence, they stand behind their product and their employees. Buy with confidence.

RE: No more full size cars from GM

They have not made true luxury automobiles for many years, they've been trying to imitate European cars. I would order tomorrow, in a heartbeat, another 1979 Cadillac Coupe DeVille De'Elegance.

Winter Tire Maintenance

Storing my 2019 Cedar Creek 36ck2 in a heated garage with concrete floor. Tires are at max 110psi. Keep in mind its been there for 12 months now without it moving. I assume it will sit another 6 months till next spring. 1. Should I lift or partially lift rv with 6 point leveling system to take some or all weight off tires? 2. Should I move trailer occasionally to avoid flat spots. I'm told flat spots happened on older bias-belt tires, not new radials. 3. Should I take rv for a ride occasionally to flex tires? I am trying to get to a point between neglect and ridiculous overkill. Thanks much.

RE: Lowering TV tire pressures

My 06 Ram 3500 4x4 DRW Cummins states 80psi all tires when LOADED. When EMPTY rears get 40psi and fronts 60psi. Front tires need 60psi because the engine weighs 1,000lbs. I keep fronts at 80psi because my BOSS V plow weights 1,000lbs.

Vehicle for Pennsylvania to Arizona and back

Don't know if this is the right forum listing but here goes. My wife and I have a 2019 40' 5vr from Cedar Creek, pulled by a 2006 Dodge dually Cummins with 95,000 miles. We are looking to downsize from this 40' to something more manageable where she can drive also. This trip, Pa to Arizona, then to Dodge City Kansas, then back to PA is 67 driving hours totaling 3,705 miles. We can stay in motels from time to time if we want. I am thinking either a small class A (-35') or a Class C. I do not want to tow anything. Any experienced thoughts out here? Thank You very much :)

RE: Pennsylvania Inspection Sticker Location

I've since read ...........first front window on driver side of rv. We found it, it was on driver side of the pin box!!!!!!! You can hardly see it, an inspection sticker on a black surface.

Pennsylvania Inspection Sticker Location

I have a 12 month old 2018 5vr and its again due for it's annual inspection. I can't find the 2018 inspection sticker anywhere. Tomorrow, where should the inspection station locate the new 2019 Pennsylvania inspection sticker?

RE: Sticker price vs MSRP on trucks

When I ORDERED my 2006 Dodge Ram 4x4 Laredo DRW Cummins 8' bed automatic 3:43 rear, the MSRP was $51,000. I paid $44,000 loans, no trade-in, I wrote a check. No incentives, etc. That is 14% off sticker.

RE: 100% Gasoline vs 10% Ethanol

All I "KNOW" is that my 1966 PONTIAC GTO with a compression of 10:75 to 1 doesn't ping any longer. Buying various brands of 91 octane always caused that engine to ping. Since buying only 91 octane GASOLINE ONLY it no longer pings. I hope this helps someone out there with an older high compression engine.
