RE: truck/trailer sway

OK I haven't been on here in a while and I skimmed the replies. I had that squirrely feeling with my Blue Ox and just couldn't get it tuned in. I talked with Blue Ox several times and finally a tech at Blue Ox said in some rare tuck/trailer combos the trucks built in traction control/anti sway fought the Blue Ox set up. He suggested shutting off the traction control. I did it and now it's the best towing trailer that I've ever towed.

RE: RV Sales Push

I was in Elkhart,Middlebury, Goshen, Shipshewana Indiana a couple weeks ago where most RV's are made. I'm there a few times every year. I've never seen such low inventory at the plants and the overflow lots. Most were just flat out empty. The only inventory that I saw of any quantity was Amazon Prime delivery trucks and there were hundreds if not thousands of those. Many of the Sprinter van size but there was a huge number of UPS truck size Amazon trucks. If they are telling you that inventory is low, you can believe that it's true.

RE: Snowbird returning to Ohio

Just ran 75 from Atlanta to Dayton last week. Ran the speed limit plus with absolutely zero slow downs anywhere. Traffic downtown Atlanta didn't even amount to anything. The only construction that looked like it could cause an issue is downtown Cincinnati.

RE: Investment Gurus-thoughts?

20.08% Ain't no way a 401 earned over 20% over a year. I work at a bank, a large one with a huge investment arm. There may have been spikes in earnings in certain months. But no way it averaged gains over 20%. Actually the national association of financial planners say that 2019 401K's ended the year 44.9% higher for those workers aged 25-34 with less than 4 years of tenure, while workers with more than 20 years of tenure, aged 55-64, registered a 24.6% increase. The difference is due to younger savers investing in more aggressive investments.

RE: Will my truck tow safely in the Smokys?

You're going to feel the pull going up the mountain at Jelico but there are going to be plenty big rigs in the right lane running 45mph. Pull in behind them, take your time and relax. That's the only place that you are really going to feel it. Unless you plan on making the trip frequently, save your money on changing your gear ratio.

RE: Ohio's New Online Reservation System!

The new site definitely sucks. I hope they update more parks with site pics. I'm happy that they kept the rewards program and I didn't lose my points.

RE: Verizon 5g as hotspot if anyone has it yet

From our perspective 5G will never be anywhere I want to RV in my lifetime. That said, it would be nice if all of the providers would finish building out their 4G networks which have a 10 mile range between towers. Think of all the areas you camp that you cannot get a decent 3G signal and it goes to 1X or just "No Service". 5G is a dense urban environment technology. That said, it might replace RV park WIFI systems where a half a dozen pole mounted towers would cover a couple of hundred spaces with enough bandwidth that everyone can stream their favorite TV shows without buffering. Time will tell, but don't hold your breath. Just wait until the end of the year when Verizon suspends 3G. In my neck of the woods there is more 3G than LTE.
