RE: Charleston WV Toll Roads

I have taken that route a few times going from Davenport, Iowa to Wilmington, NC. The first 2 times was pulling our 28' TT and the last time pulling our 32' FW. Only tolls are on I-64 between Cabin Creek and Beckley in WV. There are 3 booths heading South and 3 North. Each one was $6.50 but I have an I-Pass so could be a bit more expensive without.

Family Reunion ideas around Paducah, KY

The last several years my cousin's and I have met up for a family reunion camping weekend. As we have spread out further it is getting harder to find a place which is not too far of a drive for any of us. We span mid-Iowa to NE Georgia. Thinking something around Paducah, KY would be good. Any one know of any campgrounds in that area with family fun activities? Cabins would be good too. We have done water parks, amusement parks and even one with a quarry for swimming and a small river for rafting and kayaking. Kids range from toddlers to young adults. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

RE: Trailer brakes stop working when headlights are on

Sorry, for not providing any updates as I was in the process of moving my daughter into college and getting her settled in. I tried several different testing methods including looking for a bad ground, connecting a separate ground from trailer to truck, hooking up another truck to see if it had a similar issue and even having a mobile RV tech come look at the issue. No luck! Appears it may be an issue with the IBC itself.

Trailer brakes stop working when headlights are on

My Reflection has developed an issue where the trailer brakes stop working when my headlights are on. In the truck I get a Check Trailer Wiring message. When this occurs the trailer brakes don't work. When I turn the headlights off trailer brakes work again. On may last trip this also happened about 50% of the time I used a turn signal. I have checked 7-pin connector and find no corrosion. I am thinking it is a grounding issue but not sure what to check in the 5th wheel, any suggestions? Chris

RE: Two honda generators in tandem

It sounds as though the generators are not actually running in parallel for some reason. I have run a 13.5 A/C unit on a single Honda at much lower altitudes but it is about all the generator can handle. I have also tried to do the same at 5,000+ feet and it will not do it. However, I have run 2 Hondas in parallel many times and it will run the microwave, A/C and fridge all at the same time with no problem. The Hondas in parallel should run close to all of the same amenities as a 30A outlet. ^^^ check this.. When I was running the same set up, I was rushed 1 day during set up and I reversed 2 of the 3 cables that run it in parallel.. was not running AC, just everything else, the MAIN genny ran out of fuel while the 2nd was still almost full....All the draw was on 1 I've not managed to do that yet, but always wondered what would happen if you crossed the red and black wires.
