RE: Dometic 310 seat replacement

We have the same toilet, and I would like to replace the seat also, but I don't think a standard toilet seat will fit.

RE: No power from house batterys

Check the voltage at the house batteries. Is the battery switch turned on?

RE: Replace shocks or not.

I also replaced my shocks when I installed the wet bolt kit.

RE: TPMS question

I solved that problem by buying a new Chevy truck that has an option for trailer TPMS. A low tire for the truck or trailer will show up on my info screen.

RE: B&W Companion hitch removal

I don't think that my B&W Companion hitch weighs 230 pounds. I remove the head unit and then remove the base. I can do this in about 5 minutes by myself and I'm 70 years old.

RE: Fuel Ecomony - Towing

Towing my 12,000 lb 5th wheel with my 2022 Chevy 3500 with the Duramax I get 10 mpg at 65 mph. I could probably get another 0.5 if I slowed down to 60.

RE: Best campground in Colorado

Is it free? I don't need hook ups.

RE: Solar trickle charge

Not sure what you mean by a "solar trickle charge battery". Is the camper solar ready or do you actually have a solar panel on the roof? If you do have a solar panel, then you need to find the solar charge controller. Then look the see if it is turned on.

RE: 38 gallon honey wagon?

I think that you need to look at this another way. You did not say how many people will be staying in your RV for one week, so I will use my 5th wheel as an example. I have a 45 gallon black tank and it takes two of us 20 days to fill it. That's 1.125 gallons per person per day. So, after one week of camping, we would only have 15.75 gallons in our black tank.

RE: LT tires for 5th

LT tires all that I use. I have BF Goodrich. I have new tires installed every 6 years.

RE: Tire Pressure Monitoring System for FW

My 2022 Chevrolet had a $50 TPMS option. I had the same problem as you with the hole in the wheel being to big. New wheels cost ne $600.

RE: Truck Camper interior lights

The seven pin plug needs to be plugged into a seven pin plug on your truck to get power for the interior light. You are using an adapter that does not have a 12 volt power wire.

RE: Installing black water tank

You will want the deep end on the driver's side because the dump stations are set up that way.

RE: Newbie - 36ft vs 41ft fifth wheel

Towing you will not notice much difference but parking it you will notice a big difference.

RE: Trailer Directional not working

There are no fuses on the trailer for the brake lights, turn signals or taillights, these are all powered by the truck. Some trucks do have separate fuses for the trailer lights. I would start checking at the 7-pin connecter and work back to the taillight bulb connections.

RE: Intermittent heater no fire issue

I had a similar problem with my furnace for a couple years, then the wife stated telling me that the flame on the range was very low. The interesting thing is that the fridge and water heater both worked fine on propane. To fix the low flame problem I replaced the propane regulator, then I decided to try the furnace and it fired up and has been working great.

RE: B&W Companion question

I have had mine bind when trying to unhitch, when this happens, I leave the landing gear down and put the transmission in neutral to release the pressure on the hitch.

RE: Rotten egg smell, again???

If you have flooded lead acid batteries, you should check the water level.

RE: tire time

Buy a LT (truck) tire instead of a ST (trailer} tire.

RE: Overhead oven fan not working in trailer

If you don't want to blow up your trailer you should install a new propane detector like the one that you ripped out. The C02 detector will not detect a propane leak.
