Regular or premium

I know that Chevy recommends premium gas in the 6.2L engine. What do all of you out there use? Is using regular a bad idea?

RE: 5.3 vs 6.2

Appears from some of the posts that a later model six or eight speed transmission with the 5.3 does a better job of towing than an older model with a four speed. Mine is 2009 with the four speed. If a late model 5.3 will pull just as well as the 6.2 I could save a little money since you can only get the 6.2 on the more pricy LTZ and High Country.

iOS 14

Anybody downloaded it yet? I haven't yet. From the looks of it you are going to have to totally relearn the iPhone. Everything about it looks different.

Decals

The decals on my 10 year old TT are pretty much toast. Curled up and crumble if touched. How much of a DIY job is this to replace them all or should this be left to the pros. I've seen youtube videos on this but it always seems to be on smooth fiberglass exteriors. I have corrugated aluminum siding. Seems like that would be more of a challenge to replace.

5.3 vs 6.2

Been looking at 6.2L Chevy Silverados to replace my 5.3L. How much better of a job would the 6.2 compared to the 5.3 do especially when it comes to towing up mountains. My 5.3 really struggles with my 25ft TT going up steep hills or mountains.

RE: Cracked Dash

Definitely skin it. For about 100 bucks you can buy the kit. Easy installation and looks almost identical to a new dash that you'd spend over $1200 for. Stay away from the 'carpet' fix. It fades almost immediately, and just looks cheap. You'll find that a lot of dealers go the skin route on their older trucks. Dodges are also notorious for denigrating dashes. It appears you bought and installed one. Are they difficult to get to stick down to where they are invisible to the eye and blend in with original dash? And do they stay stuck or will they eventually pop loose?

Cracked Dash

Any of you guys out there have the Chevy Silverado that has the cracking dash issue? I got a 2009 with a couple of cracks. Anybody tried one of those Dash Skins? I was wondering how well they blended in and if the adhesive they provide stays stuck. I would hate for it to pop loose and end up with a bigger mess than the cracks. I also thought about having the cracked portion replaced but I'm sure that would cost a fortune.
