RE: Can You Pass Through States with Stay at Home Orders?

As far as toll booths go you should be fine, most are unmaned now and they will bill by plate or electrinicly if you happen to have a ez-pass or whatever device they use, I know that is the way in Pa & De right now. The bridges for NJ are pay on the way out, not sure what NJ & NY are doing

RE: European 5th Wheelers of the 1950's

I have watched videos of carnivals and circus groups from Europe and even still they have different style rv's and trucks then we see here in the states. I do see some US rv's as well in the videos, I wish they would show some inside shots of the units as well. I also remember seeing a video of a 3 story 5th wheel that did make it to the states a couple of years ago but I believe it was more for show, never saw anymore about it.

NorthWoods Outdoor RV in Oregon is the only manfacture that is ceasing production at this time.

RE: Route 64 New Mexico

I ran that road a few years ago all the way to Taos with our full size tractor and a 39' 5th wheel, the wife was not thrilled but I really had no issues at all. I took my time and tried my best to not enjoy the beautiful scenery a lot, at the top of the pass I pulled over to let the folks behind me pass, which all 5 of them waved and thanked me as they passed then just continued on my way. Take your time and you will be fine.

RE: Riverstone 37MRE

We have a 2017 River Stone Legacy 39mb with a dark color, we have not had any issues keeping it cool and we opted for only 2 a/c units, 3 is optional. They have a 12" I beam frame plus the upper deck is steel not aluminum like a lot of other brands. We have had very few issues with it and all were handled well thru the factory. If interested in them make sure you research them well as unless you get one with the Legacy package you will not get the full body paint, disc brakes, Good Year tires and the water manifold systems.

RE: Pennsylvania Route Recommendations

If by chance you decide on the Pa Turnpike route (76) Friendship Village at the Bedford exit would be a great campground for the kids, 2 pools, lots of activities and very genorous ice cream servings, good luck and safe travels. Also agree with the Knoebels suggetions as well.

RE: Disney world in July

We went one year in July and everyone kept saying we were crazy, turned out it was hotter at home then Disney, yes it will be hot but plan well take breaks learn where the a/c spots are. Go back and take swim breaks then head back to the parks in the cooler temps in the evening, things will work out. Just go for it and enjoy!!!

RE: Quest for the perfect 5th wheel

With you being 2 years out thiings will change by then, seeing you have so much time before have you considered a trip to In. to see how they are made? Cedar Creek, River Stone and Redwood are all made in Topeka In. less then 10 minutes apart, plus lots more to see touristy things in the area as well.

RE: Small trailer on F350 flatbed

Already seen this done both on trailers and flat bed trucks, they would carry off road vehicles behind what they fixed to the flat bed

RE: air ride pin box

Most of the ones hauling with the semi trucks install air ride hitches on the truck, like the Trailsaver, Comfort Hitch ( Air cells) or what I have is the ET Hitch especially designed for just this purpose but will warn you not cheap.

RE: Lemon camper

We never really recieved good service at the West Chester Stoltzfus either.I would bypass the dealer and contact KZ yourself for help in this matter, but even tho it's hard be nice when you contact them remember you need their help. Explain everything to them and even be ready to possibly take it back to the factory we had friends recieve help on their Durango Gold 5th wheel and it was even after the warranty ran out/ I know your upset but being nice when asking for help will go a lot farther then mentioning a lawyer, good luck and keep us posted.

RE: Summer 2020 road trip - suggestions

Also check out the Wellsboro area in Pa. also referred to as the Grand Canyon of Pa. it would be on your way. Another vote for Knoebels and even Darien Lake amusement park, camping within walking distance of the park and also possibly on your way.

RE: Front Kitchen Full-time?

Keep in mind that both the front kitchen and living floor plan have less outside storage then most 5th wheels, that is unless you look at the ones that have the raised rear bedrooms and bathrooms in them. Find both at a dealer near you and try hanging out in it for a while you might find out you don't like them that much. Good luck on your search and keepus posted

RE: New 5th Wheel Manufacturer

I still like the Riverstone. Although the one we love is 43’ long, I just wish they made the floor plan at under 40’. Oh well, looks like I’m getting the 43’-er. ;) Which model? Ours is just under 43' and we have yet run into a issue with size.

RE: New 5th Wheel Manufacturer

Here is an article that includes some of their build standards. Somewhat encouraging, however, a laminated wall instead of hung wall construction. They are already skimping on the brakes and lack of slide toppers. If you want to be high end, be high end. Riverstone already looks better. https://rvbusiness.com/startup-alliance-rv-details-business-plan-to-dealers/ We have been looking at the Riverstone Legacy for over a year now, and unfortunately it is changing from what it was. The Legacy is now an add on package. From what we can tell, some of the standards that use to be with the Legacy are now options with it too. You are so correct on the changes at River Stone, we bought in the early stages and got the 141st unit built. They have made many changes and not for the best (imo) it is still a nice unit and maybe one of the best choices out there but far to many changes and not for the best. Still will be interested to see what a new builder might trt to do when they enter the market.

RE: Looking for help on fulltiming for young couple with kids

Camper The guy who did this conversion is on this forum. Goes by the name ependydad. Probably would be an outstanding source of information X2, I know him thru a few forum boards and have met him in person as well, he has a lot of first hand knowledge both good and bad but he is honest and very truthful.
