RE: S.E. Pennsylvania to North Myrtle Beach

Thank You, that is exactly what I was figuring.... Now I just need to figure out my fuel stops... Will look for places large enough to get a 41'/13'5" tall fiver into for diesel... I know Royal Farms along 113 and 13 have started to build their newer stations with truck islands so I would keep a eye out for them, below the CBBT I could not tell you what to watch for.

RE: Any one going to Hershey RV show?

They offer dry camping across from the amusement park, not sure how much. Camping spots are usually filled up about a year ahead of time, especially for the weekend.

RE: New Alliance Paradigm 310RL 5th Wheel

They seem to be doing well and also listen to the public, heard so far they have great customer service. Good luck and keep us posted on your unit.

RE: Flight 93 Memorial

Yes there is room at the Memorial for rv parking but the drive there does involve a climb coming from the west, not sure from the east. We usually stay at Friendship Village in Bedford then just take the car to Flight 93

RE: Amarillo to Red River Suggestions

That's a easy climb, just come down slowly into Red River as if I remember you come into town quickly. We did it in our Smart last summer, nice drive wide open and the climb did not bother our little Smart car at all. Curves were not bad at all either. Plenty of campers use that route

RE: Overnight camping in Delaware

I just looked and could book a single night stay at Lums Pond in July, keep in mind it was a Monday night

RE: What was that hitch called?

I found a old 91 3/4 ton Suburban with one of these hitches at a Chevy used car a lot years ago and jumped to buy it, dealer did not know it was on the truck and insisted on selling me a hitch. You should have seen the look on the salesman's face when I unlocked the hitch form the stowed position after I had a paid receipt in hand. By the way once you got used to how the hitch towed it was a great set up, but will say you need to pay attention as the trailer tracks about 6" inside the tow vehicle.

RE: Driving people to boondock by calling themselves a "Resort"

Oh I agree they are not targeting the boondocking crowd. The new will wear off and the "Resort" label will not carry them. If Dollywood had a RV park it could rightfully call itself a Resort. Not so with those two. Copied from the Screamscape web site - Dollywood RV Campground - Rumor - (5/16/21) According to a Screamscape source, Dollywood may be working on new plans for their next resort. From the sound of things, this is not the anticipated big-hotel sequel to the popular DreamMore Resort we were expecting them to announce in March 2020 before the pandemic shut down most of the world for a time. Instead our source tells us that the park may be planning a different kind of resort expansion first that will come in the form of an official Dollywood RV Resort. From what I’m told they may be taking some inspiration from DIsney’s Fort Wilderness Resort campground at Walt Disney World for this one, so expect it to feature some themed smoky mountain themed amenities. I am curious about the location of this, if it comes to pass, and if Dollywood is building this from scratch or if there was an opportunity to purchase an existing campground nearby and upgrade it with new theming and amenities.

RE: I-90 Through Cleveland

I usually just stay on 90 right thru Cleveland just take your time and watch the signs, also watch for some sharp curves when you start heading away from the lake

We have a River Stone but not this floor plan, we really like our unit and have had very little issues with it, you might want to look over at the Forest River Owners forum for more info, have not seen much chatter here on this brand
