RE: Lemon camper

We never really recieved good service at the West Chester Stoltzfus either.I would bypass the dealer and contact KZ yourself for help in this matter, but even tho it's hard be nice when you contact them remember you need their help. Explain everything to them and even be ready to possibly take it back to the factory we had friends recieve help on their Durango Gold 5th wheel and it was even after the warranty ran out/ I know your upset but being nice when asking for help will go a lot farther then mentioning a lawyer, good luck and keep us posted.

RE: Summer 2020 road trip - suggestions

Also check out the Wellsboro area in Pa. also referred to as the Grand Canyon of Pa. it would be on your way. Another vote for Knoebels and even Darien Lake amusement park, camping within walking distance of the park and also possibly on your way.

RE: Front Kitchen Full-time?

Keep in mind that both the front kitchen and living floor plan have less outside storage then most 5th wheels, that is unless you look at the ones that have the raised rear bedrooms and bathrooms in them. Find both at a dealer near you and try hanging out in it for a while you might find out you don't like them that much. Good luck on your search and keepus posted

RE: New 5th Wheel Manufacturer

I still like the Riverstone. Although the one we love is 43ā€™ long, I just wish they made the floor plan at under 40ā€™. Oh well, looks like Iā€™m getting the 43ā€™-er. ;) Which model? Ours is just under 43' and we have yet run into a issue with size.

RE: New 5th Wheel Manufacturer

Here is an article that includes some of their build standards. Somewhat encouraging, however, a laminated wall instead of hung wall construction. They are already skimping on the brakes and lack of slide toppers. If you want to be high end, be high end. Riverstone already looks better. We have been looking at the Riverstone Legacy for over a year now, and unfortunately it is changing from what it was. The Legacy is now an add on package. From what we can tell, some of the standards that use to be with the Legacy are now options with it too. You are so correct on the changes at River Stone, we bought in the early stages and got the 141st unit built. They have made many changes and not for the best (imo) it is still a nice unit and maybe one of the best choices out there but far to many changes and not for the best. Still will be interested to see what a new builder might trt to do when they enter the market.

RE: Looking for help on fulltiming for young couple with kids

Camper The guy who did this conversion is on this forum. Goes by the name ependydad. Probably would be an outstanding source of information X2, I know him thru a few forum boards and have met him in person as well, he has a lot of first hand knowledge both good and bad but he is honest and very truthful.

RE: Elkhart tours

We are planning on going to Elkhart for a tour of the Sprinter plant in January or February. Sprinter plant? MB builds Sprinters in SC... which plant in Indiana? I think the OP means the Keystone Sprinter plant not the Sprinter chassis for the class b's

RE: Bunk model 5th wheel

Cedar Creek Silverback has two floor plans one mid bunk and one with a rear extra room with a loft above, the only issue might be they do not have permanent bunks I think fold out sofa. Just a thought

RE: rt 81

I was asking about the I 81 from penn to ten? Thanks Will you be coming form Newark N.J. or Newark De? That can make a difference on where you pick up 81. We are from De. and last weekend we took this route but picked up 81 in Va. there ae different ways to go and sometimes better to avoid traffic.

RE: rt 81

I just drove that route last weekend and no issues with bridges, now remember all interstates should not have bridges under 14' and if so the will be marked. Our rig is 13'5" and have yet to have any issues on the interstates, now back roads and even state highways that's another story

RE: Pigion Forge TN

We just stayed in River Edge but in a cabin, nice place and even nicer people, any site would fit you but the ones near the stream are close to the road so noisy. The trolley also stops there as well.

RE: Just curious?

We have a 2017 River Stone Legacy purchased in summer of 29016 and have spent every summer since in it traveling, so far the things that went wrong are wheel for the spare tire replaced due to a recall, bedroom slide ram replaced by Lippert for a leaking seal, keyless door lock replaced by RV Lock due to the key side becoming hard to use, also a awning motor under warranty. One more thing the manufacture upgraded our tankless water heater from the Girard to the Truma for us as a bonus at a rally because they switched brands and so many folks seemed to have trouble with the Girard, and believe me we were not going to argue. We have been very pleased with our camper and how it is holding up, they do take longer to build them, around 2 weeks then another 2 weeks to paint, if we were to look again they would be first inline.

RE: Filling Propane While Traveling

Tractor Supply if one nearby plus they charge by the gallon so only pay for what you are getting and they usually seem to be the lowest price around.

RE: heater mats under tanks

They work very much like a water bed heater and work off of a thermostat, we were told even if ours are turned on unless the temperature drops to around 40 the tank heater will not come on

RE: Help selecting East Coast location with lots of variables...

I would second the Knoebels suggestion but more towards their Lake Glory campground, they have full hook up sites for you and also have cambins, plus I believe they allow around 10 people per site. The cabins I think are rustic meaning a place to sleep and electric but the bath house is close.
