Powertrec Track

Has anyone experience with powertrec aluminum track. It is manufactured for woodworking and routing. I am thinking of using it to mount solar panels on my trailer roof.

RE: Stops Catalytic Converter thefts! (inexpensive method)

Sorry if this was covered, but didn't read every page. Cable cutters pictured look like they are for copper or aluminum electrical cable. Steel will make them forever useless. Don't bolt cutters work on stranded cable?

RE: Harvest Hosts

Good info. I never liked Walmart as all night traffic but that changed with covid. And some Walmarts are actually nice, like Ticonderoga, NY. Where are these parks $20-25 night with electric? I'm all over that! Im going cross country in spring. Planning mostly one and two night stops on way out and back.

RE: State Park Links

FYI some NH state parks do not allow dogs in the campground. Lafayette in Franconia Notch is one.But we have a TON of National Forest Campgrounds here, usually hookups. And usually well shaded. But Dolly Copp was rebuilt 2 years ago and has hookups, not sure on sewer but W/E.

RE: Tent Camping Tricks and Cheap tricks

Another trick I learned on another site is carrying a couple of small solar powered, motion sensing lights. Set 2 or 3 around your tent , for convenience and security.

RE: Tent Camping Tricks and Cheap tricks

Hey sorry for slow reply! So POOL NOODLES! I just put them around the edge of the tarp, all side may be neccessary but if you're on a slope 3 sides Slide them under edge of tarp How many? Depends on length of pool noodles and size of tent.
Pine pellets I get at Tractor Supply for around $6 per #40 bag. If you can, find 2 gallon food storage bags and line it with a small trash bag then fill it with pine pellets. Not quite as sturdy as camco and ozark but a lot cheaper and pretty dang good.

Tent Camping Tricks and Cheap tricks

I put pool noodles under the edges of my ground tarp. In case of heavy rain the water runs under the tarp and the tent floor stays dry.
I was using Ozark Potty bags in my camp toilet. They're over $15 dollars for 6 now! And the enzyme only gels"one go". Now I buy a 40lb bag of pine pellets for $6. Add a cup or two to bags. Not only absorbs moisture, it absorbs odor. Or buy freezer bags and line with small trash bags.

RE: 2022 F-150 Can Not install aftermarket brake controller!!!!!

As far as the ford ranger and this may apply to F series. the brake controller is not a ford or motorcraft part. It is made by an australian company and works with emergency braking systems. Or so they say. Since mine was installed when I hook up my 4 pin cargo trailer I get a message that cross traffic warnings have been disabled. Going to tow a "real" trailer Sunday. Just bought a Micro Minnie.

RE: Cikira 18CC grey water pump?

All this talk about tank emptying and hose connections on the valve cap reminds me why I never drink the campground water. So many campgrounds do not have backflow valves on the water outlets as NY state requires.

RE: How to re-caulk RV trailer roof?

Also I think mineral spirits is pure. Paint thinner can contain additives like benzene. Good info on "the spruce".

I haven't used Henges, but Ill look for it next time. I use a white roofing compound out of a home improvement store, seems to do the trick.

Keystone Bullet Colt

Looking at getting back in the "game". Been tent camping for last 7 years, loved it but a small trailer is a nice option at 67.Jettisoned the big trucks years ago, but I can tow a small trailer. Any thoughts on small used trailers, what to look for etc. I'm looking at 4000 or less dry weight. My last TT was a 2002 Holiday Rambler. A lot has changed. I am looking at a Keystone Bullet Colt.

RE: Slide leakage

The floors are often made of pressboard or wafer board. It soaks the water and swells. I end up cutting open floor covering and replacing the subfloor. Hopefully this isnt the case but most likely is.
