RE: The Victims...

The site is probably a PR stunt for the website thervadvisor.com. The contact page sends you to a PR firm or to the referenced website. The facebook pages referenced are connected to lawyers. They do a good job of hiding the source of the sites.

RE: HP Compaq NX9600 -- Adding Memory

You can disable the signature enforcement but this can open your unit to other issues, mainly security. You need to know how to use the command prompt or test mode.

RE: Medicare Advantage Plans

United Healthcare Advantage plan through AARP claims to cover any provider who takes Medicare, might be a place to start. All of the Advantage plans are listed on the medicare.gov website and in a book put out by Medicare called "Medicare and you". It can be downloaded or mailed.

RE: Don't renew GOOD SAM for multiple years

Every group I am a member of offers a discount for multiple year renewals. Every one of those groups also does not give refunds if you decide to leave before the end of the membership term. They also do not cancel your membership it just will continue until it expires whether you use it or not. Not anything new. Even if they did you would run up against the math as posted by wapiticountry. One group I know of front loads the membership accounting so the last year of the term has an almost zero value on the books. If they did give a refund it would cost more to write the check.

RE: Coach Net vs Good Sam

I have had both and both have taken care of me without issue. I currently have Good Sam because I get it free through the GS credit card.

RE: Bad capacitors in my rear TV!!

This is a very common issue with flat screen sets for a few years now. Every brand has this problem. Good Luck

RE: Powering multiple low voltage devices in the truck

I have one of these mounted in the inside bottom of the center console: Power Box It connects to the 12v aux connector in the console. And one of these on the top: Tray I ran long usb to micro usb or c connectors depending on the device under and through the trim pieces on the console and door jambs. My GPS has a 12v plug which had a long enough cord to allow it to be routed under the trim. I am running a phone, GPS( the one in the truck is not suitable for towing), TPMS monitor, rear observation monitor, and a dash cam through all this.

RE: We have a toilet issue......

Toilet bowl seal lube Used this once to rejuvenate a seal. Worked perfectly. I use it when unit is sitting. No more problems.

RE: Hughes autoformers

I use both an autoformer followed by an EMS. With more and more larger units(two or three ac units) in campgrounds, voltage goes low a lot more often than people realize. I feel like I'm protected from both low and high voltage. I couldn't make a choice of one or the other. I use the same setup. Would not be without. Hughes now makes a ems unit as well but I will use what I have until it becomes unusable.

RE: Significant hiatus but I'm back!

A little lube on the points listed in the Equal-i-zer manual with the use of the bracket pads and the noise is pretty well gone.

RE: Stereo/DVD WIRING

Of all the trailers I have had, not one had the speakers wired right!:E The speakers would be cross wired to different zones. They would be wired out of phase and in one case, wires to no-where. I would carefully mark all wires and start from scratch to send them to the right speakers.

RE: The sad part of pet ownership

I am sorry for your pain and hope you and the she can have some quality time for awhile. Our 20 yr old mix has developed dementia and has failing hind legs. She still has some time but it is these times that we must give back to them what they gave us,

RE: Carbon Monoxide/Propane Alarm - Propane Leak?

I had one go bad after only 18 months, so failure is a possibility. They also can go off when the 12v supply is low.

RE: Storing ball hitch

So yes, I would leave the hitch in the receiver. It's one more layer of protection for you and one less thing to deal with when you come and go from your trips. I agree and leave mine installed as well.

RE: Buying from out of state

There are professional inspection services that you could hire to check out the RV before purchase and I'll bet the dealer has a delivery service that could be used. For a $10k difference it would be worth it to me. Inspector Locator
