RE: Difference between Yamaha & Honda Inverters

Quick question about engine displacement between the newer 2200 watt inverter generators. The Yamaha says 80cc and the Honda says 121cc. The Handa has 50 % more displacement than the Yamaha. If this is true, wouldn't the Yamaha have to run at a good bit higher rpm to put out the same power. If true I cant believe they would both last the same amount of engine hours. Any thoughts? Wouldn't a bigger engine use more gas?

RE: trailer wax

I use zaino. The shine lasts at least twice as long as wax, but they don't sell it in stores.

RE: New used truck

A big difference between those trucks as far as the ride quality is spring rates. The 2017 can carry more weight so it needs a higher spring rate. The cost of that higher spring rate is while driving unloaded the suspension is stiffer. What happens is there is less movement of the springs going over bumps so the shocks can't do their job, which is dampen the spring movement. What you can do is upgrade the seats to have air ride :D That is going to be the next upgrade. Just wait. Pickups will be towing 40k lbs with air ride seats like a big rig.

RE: The Verdic is in, New Ford 7.3 V-8 Gas mpg not so Great

Those TFL whatever guys are clowns. It is disappointing they spread so much misleading information. I'm beginning to think they are amateurs or just DGAF about anything except ad revenue (or both). Case in point, their dyno results. Someone posted them in a different (inferior) forum comparing Godzilla to the new Diesel. Then started a discussion based on the results as fact. I didn't watch the video, not a fan. It turns out they gamed the test. Someone observed the runs were executed in different gears. They weren't in 7th doing the dyno run which is required for a 1:1 ratio. Like one was in 3rd and the other in 6ths or some **** like that. Nonsense. I'm not giving them my click.

RE: Trouble with California

There is an inspection point near South Tahoe between Nevada and California. You can go around the building or go through it to meet the attendant (when present). The first time I commuted through there in the summer of 2018, I stopped. The guy gave me a pass slip and the idea is to hold up the pass or display it when taking the bypass. People drive by that building at full speed. Nobody stops. Nobody holds their slip and don't display it. The attendant got all excited and waved everytime I passed. I think it is because I held up the slip. But most of the time, nobody was around. An unattended inspection point is a waste of money. CA is tax crazy and part of that problem is from having to pay for all the State Government employees retirement benefits. So if you want an easy-peesy job with a pension, "equality" and workers rights get a job at the Ag IP in Tahoe. Bring a laptop and **** off all day. Work if you feel like it.

RE: No! I’m not top heavy.

That would earn him a ticket here. What would the ticket be for? Too high? The buggies are mostly tube so they probably weigh no more than 2,000 lbs each. Too much wheel well space. Look at those rims too.

RE: Trouble with California

I spent the first 21 years of my life in SoCal and have been through the inspection points more times than I can count. I'd find it very odd if they wanted to search my rig. I don't care what level they are on. Trust nobody. Just be glad they weren't looking for plastic bags or straws :E

RE: The TFL guys bought a 7.3L

If the god **** engine shuts off on its own, I'm not interested. Unless there is a start/stop defeat.

RE: Another Tesla problem

When Toyota had the unintended acceleration, a tech guy was data logging during the event and posted about it. His car launched into someone else's car in a parking lot. The log showed the Throttle Position Sensor numbers that reflected the throttle opening up. It can make sense that Tesla too reports the positive TPS numbers. The issue is what caused it. The driver or something else. Telsa is known for being full of ****. I wouldn't trust what they say about it.

RE: What is a good camp stove to buy now days?

For a small stove, I use a MSR Whisper Lite International. It is a good brand. Made in Seattle. I run about 1 gallon of white fuel through it per week in winter. It does require maintenance on the fuel line once every other week. It will burn diesel, gas and kerosene too. But white fuel is the best option for longevity.
