RE: Do y'all see the IRONY here?

Plus 90% of that car and charging station is made of ABS and other plastics.

RE: Onan Cummins Propane Generator

Basic maintenance. Change oil, Air filter, Plug, etc.... But as posted above, RUN the thing at least a couple hours a month!

RE: Propane tank recertification

I've encountered the same problem with the horizontal tanks in my Lance 915. Thats why figuring out a way to put vertical 20 pound tanks in there is on the top of my project list. Can swap them out at any blue rhino when a new one is needed.

RE: HFT Preditor 3500 Inverter Generator

And they still run, right? Get what you pay for. How do you know they have 1000s of hours? Did you know they have a built in hour meter? Light flashe once per 100 hrs on the machine when you start it. Yes. They still run great! One or two pulls they fire rite up every time. I did know about the blinky run light. I'm sort of a geek about reading manuals. Its boarder line addiction/problem according to my wife. And I'm really just estimating the hours. I'm a professional photographer. I've been using them pretty much non stop every week since I purchased them in 2006. I use them to run lighting on location, laptops, monitors, etc... Plus a lotta weekends a year while at various tracks shooting NASCAR, Moto America, AMA Events, etc... So just estimating 8 hours a week over lets just call it ten years puts them over 4,000 hours each. All I do is change the oil monthly and clean the air filters. Replace spark plugs. Adjusted the valves a few times. But nothing lasts forever and my scope of work is changing a bit so one unit to maintain and move around will be more convenient and will fit my needs. So that's why Im looking into a new power solution.

HFT Preditor 3500 Inverter Generator

Ok, I gotta ask, has any body ran one of the 3500 Predators from Harbor Freight for any length of time? Like maybe regularly for season or year? I've seen all the you tube videos of how quiet they are outta the box, but what about after a year or two? I've run my two Honda 2000's since 2006 with no issues and I know there are thousands of hours on each of them and they keep on running. But I really would like something new with electric start and that Predator is hard to ignore at over $1,000.00 less than the Honda. Thanks!

RE: Street eagle Side by Sides.

Interesting question. Will it be road legal in Ohio? Here any atv has to be plated and insured on when operated on crown (public) land but is still not road legal. Yes it's legal in Ohio. I had to have a windshield, head lights, tail lights, turn signals, four way hazards, horn, seat belts, Rear view and side mirrors, DOT approved tires, and of course working brakes, steering, etc.... Took it to the Highway Patrol station for inspection. Took the approved inspection form, application for title, proof of purchase/bill of sale to the local BMV and now its titled and resisted as a two door sedan hard top. I have regular car plates front and rear. Full coverage through State Farm for a little shy of $800.00 a year.

Street eagle Side by Sides.

So this may or may not be the correct forum for this but seeing that most of us TC people enjoy and haul our "toys" I'll post here. I am currently making my Yamaha side by side street eagle and plating it here in Ohio and was wondering if I'm legal, plated and insured in Ohio if that's going to be fine in other states. I'm a photographer and want to be able to come off jeep trails into town and also travel back roads in National Parks and Forest lands. I of course will be not traveling highways and interstates, just local and back roads. Thanks!

Check your oil filter.

RE: 17" wheels on DRW - is it worth replacing them with 19.5"?

19.5s ride like ****, beat the hell out of your wheel bearings and balljoints, and have inferior traction on soft surfaces. If you don't need the weight capacity (which you don't on a 1 ton truck), they are not something I'd want. But they look really cool!

Aluminum rotting on Lance 915

I am finding the aluminum under the door on my Lance 915 is starting to rot away. I didn't think aluminum would rust or rot so to speak. Has anybody else experienced this or have any idea why this is happening? Thanks!
