RE: Behold! to solar project monster!!!

Great Job.
I'm with you in wanting to do it RIGHT. We got a new trailer last year, and I've been working on it since. I'm sure part of the reason we got a new unit was because the old one was out of things to do.

RE: Converter charger upgrade

I've used Progressiv Dynamics in 3 units. They've been around a long time and have a great rep. The converters will all "smart charge" automaticaly, I like the pendant to know what mode they are in, and override if I want. I have 480 watts of solar and the PD converter plays with the solar controller just fine.

RE: Solar suitcase problem

I believe that controller is 12/24 volt. Did you hook up the battery side first? Most dual voltagr controllers determine their operation from the battery hookup. Values you mentioned sound like it thinks its a 24 volt system

RE: Furnace short cycling

ADD MORE VENTS. Any less than having all the vents called for by the manufacturer is dangerous.

RE: 55% efficient printed solar panels

I'd be VERY suspicious of 55% claims. NASA's VERY expensive panels are about 35%, there is a write-up on a laboratory cell getting 47%.
Investigate further.

bathroom fan

My bathroom fan is on a wall switch; this turns the fan on and off, but you still need to open the vent manually (too high for wife to do).
Is there a fan/vent unit available that turns on the fan, and opens the vent when powered on, and then closes the vent when powered off. There are covers that can be installed to allow the vent to stay open; I'm not a fan of them.,
Thanks,
Doug

Flexible PEX hose.

My new rig uses a braided flexible hose for some of its piping that is the same size and uses the same connectors as pex hose. Lowes/HD don't have any braided hose this size.
Does anybody know a source for this as I'm trying to do some modifications??
Thanks,
Doug
