RE: towing capcity and payload capacity.

Forget all of these weighters....get the F250 for a 30 foot 5th wheel. You'll do fine. In fact, you probably could do it just as well with a gas engine rather than a diesel.

RE: Temp monitor for when leaving dogs in RV

where did barking enter into this thread anyway? Just plan on when away you have a back up plan. as for barking, get a bark collar.

RE: looking for "short" (<37ft) 5th w/ opposing couches

If you are looking 2 sofas in a 5th wheel the montana 3130RE is a good one, sad though they stopped making it as of 2019 but they are out there. It is about 34 feet long.

RE: SWR 5th wheel towing

There will always be two sides to this, Dually or SRW. But, you'll be like us and use the truck as a full time vehicle. GET A SRW!

RE: 2020 GMC

I thought I'd love to have a 2020 GMC but....it looks like I'll have to come up with lots of money. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/06/25/chevy-is-working-on-what-could-be-the-first-pickup-to-top-100000.html And I understand the side ARE HIGHER, not lower and it is longer. Oh well, I'll stick with my F350 for a while.

RE: Tow Vehicle question

I personally think this is a non issue unless you are running the back roads. I've never really ran into a issue yet doing this for 15 years. Get what you like the best.

RE: New SRE 4000 and Disk brakes

the Morryde SRE4000 is NOT the IS system. you know that right? but the IS system will run you about $7K

RE: Looking to buy older 5th wheel

just go over it and decide if you want to put money into it. roof ok? caulking ok? redo tires/brakes/bearings. then off you go.

RE: Bed struts

can't image why they went bad but I'd just replace them with what is there.

RE: Checking Truck For Level?

relax. just do a visual...that will do it. and even if it isn't there isn't a lot you can do unless you have air bags.

RE: New Jayco Pinnacle

if you want to spend the money go for it. but, your F350 will pull it just fine.

RE: I got lied to...

You want another warranty for a 2006? wow. even if they gave you one it would cost an arm and a leg. just save the money for future repairs...which you will have.

RE: States with the worst roads

Michigan is now after a .45 cent gas increase...it will be the highest in the country. ****. Two problems i see in Michigan are the heavy trucks and the state keeps adding more lanes to the road system.

RE: MPG Comparison Different Shapes

really? to many varibles...speed, stop and go and etc. But, I would guess you'd get a little beeter mpg with the super small trailer.

RE: Removing black tank for septic system

to do it correctly you'd need to know the plumbing rules. and, if you take out the black water tank at some point i'd think you will sale the trailer and it won't have a tank...replacing it would probably cost $1300-2000. i'd suggest just leaving the tank alone and figure out a dumbing schedule, i.e. every two weeks or so. http://www.rvdoctor.com/2011/03/rv-holding-tank-removal.html emoving tank could also cause smells.
