RE: Small Travel Trailers

Yea, lots of my Canadian freinds are not happy campers this year. With the boarder closed and campgeounds sparse they are camping at each others homes. Id say lets lave the border closed for a bit, keep the virus south of the Great white North.

Hot water heater troubles.

I didn’t want to highjack the other post about “Atwood water heater issues” , but my hot Atwood water heater is giving me troubles as well. It is a DSI , what is happening is that the heater will turn on fine, then when the water is at temperature it shuts off like it suppose to, then after about being off for about 5-10 minutes it fires back up for another 2 minutes, it does does this until it trips ( red light illuminates) . I flick the switch of and on but it trips right away. Then I would let it sit for 8 hours or so and when I flick the switch back on it will not fire up , the red light goes on right away, then when I flick the switch on off, on off for like 20 times it finally fires up. I have replaced the temperature sensors, I cleaned the gas valve solenoid. The only thing that I have not replaced is the control board. Could it be that it is the control board? The heater is in a ‘93 airstream and to me it all looks original.

RE: Garbage disposal?

Your camping, no need for those fancy gadgets. Id say don't put a garburator in your RV, there are plenty of garbage cans around the campground and going for walk to the garbage can, don't hurt no one, it will get your ass out of the chair.

RE: Casita vs "conventional" small trailers

We have a 13' 1971 boler one of the firt fiberglass campers on the market these fiberglass campers last forever they are tiny but its a bed off the ground. We sure like ours but then we have a 21'airstream that we use for longer trips. There is also the "outback"made in Calgary that has the same mould as the Trillium. https://trilliumtrailers.com/product/the-outback-trillium-trailer/
