RE: Missing catalytic converter

We had a cat stolen last week off one of work trucks. It was off a F250 and that thing has 2 cats on it. It was going to cost $3200 Cnd plus install. So we just straight piped it. So we will have to live with the check engine light being on.

RE: Where did the Non weekend RVers go?

I’m thinking that they are all producing TickTock videos of their vacations in their rv’s.

RE: The RV Demand Continues

Here in Alberta the rv lots are practically empty with new units, what they do now is put all their used stock as well as customers units that are in for repair up by the main highway and roads so it looks like they full. Same goes for some car dealerships specially their lots are empty. Everyone like rv manufacturing plants, automotive plants, appliance plants all must be waiting on the same 50 cent computer chip!

RE: RVs over 10 years old are valueless

Those parks that only allow newer rv’s are for yuppies only, you don’t want to be there anyway.

RE: Finding a TT that does not have Bunkhouse

Arctic fox has some nice layouts, and you get a quality trailer.

RE: Tandem axle vs single

Single axle usually has bigger size tires. Also if you need to replace tires, single axle is cheaper than tandem.

RE: RV Queen mattress

We had an original, terrible mattress in our airstream, I switched it out to a Zinus from Amazon, had to cut it to size and used an electric knife, which worked awesome and mattress slept awesome. I will be getting another one for our new to us Arctic Fox.

RE: Rv Reno.

I looked on line and there are a few Facebook groups , and it is actually amazing what they done, lots of people got rid of their oak cupboards with the brass handles and etched glass, and painted them white with black handles. So I think I might go for that this spring.

RE: RVs over 10 years old are valueless

Never been asked , but if I were to be asked that my rv is to old , i’d tell them to stick it where the sun don’t shine. I’d take my business elsewhere.

Rv Reno.

I We have a 2013 Arctic Fox, my wife hates the cabinet colour and I’m not a fan either as they are cinnamon colour. The flooring is dark Brown vinyl , the seats are taupe, walls are very off white. We are thinking of updating the whole interior to make it brighter as it is pretty dark and gloomy. Would you repaint ,re-upholster and put down new flooring in your rv?

RE: Running lights on cars

Here in Canada it is mandatory to have DTRl, it really makes a difference, now you can see the on coming vehicle from far away. The lates vehicle models have all LED lights that are very bright that look front marker light. All US vehicle that are imported to Canada from the US need to go in for safety and DTRl are on the list to be operational.

RE: Renting your RV

Last year we rented out our airstream for a long weekend, we signed up with Ruckify ( A Canadian company) it was a great experience, the rental company ( Ruckify) took care of all insurances, damage deposits. We removed our personal belongings and left all the pots pans cutlery etc. For an extra fee they rented our generator, . Th renter came a picked up the rv, I went through the rv with him and off they went, the rv had to be returned at 2 pm on their last rental day and they left the the thing spotless upon their return. We rented it out for $125.00 a night, and the generator for 30.00 a day. Easy money. And with this COVID thing a lot of people are either renting their rv out or renting an rv. This is no different than renting a home through VRBO or Air BNB .

Used RV prices.

We sold our airstream a few weeks back, a guy contacted me and said “I want it” , I said to him who ever shows up with the money first is the winner, and I had lots of intrest in it. Guy shows up with certified cheque for the full amount, he hooked the AS up to his Mercedes and off he went. The reason we sold our AS is the the layout did not work for us. So we were in the market for a new to us trailer in the 22-24’ range. After looking at a few trailers, the quality sucks, and price out of this world, some people wanted brand new price for a 5 year old rv. But yesterday we found what we wanted , a 2013 Arctic Fox 22GQ for a good price$17000.00 It does need a little cosmetic work, but that’s minor, at least it did not leak and no delamination. We are exited, and hopefully we can take it this winter, since it is an Arctic FoX.
