RE: hydraulic leveling jack replace / rebuild

Sounds like you have HWH jacks, is that correct? It would not be jack issue but the control valves. HWH has some good troublshooting on website. HWH You will need some more information as to which control and which style, kickdown or straight acting. Control valves can be disassembled and cleaned. I have manual at home. Be home late tomorrow.

RE: incandescent bulb works correctly LED does not

What series incandescent are you replacing? What LED lamp is going in? Look in socket to see how many pins in base. (small solder dimples) Sounds like the incorrect lamp.

RE: Which Oregon Highway?

Which direction are you heading after US 97 or 197? If headed toward portland you may consider US 26, stopping at Timberline Lodge. If set on US 97 or 197 I would take 197!

RE: 12V fuse in junction box on trailer frame

OP: Please post the voltage that you got on each side of the circuit breaker! One side would be battery voltage and the other would be converter voltage. Some of the 12 volt breakers are NOT auto resetting! Circuit breaker values could be enteched into it orprinted. If you cannot see value, get same value as the converter output if the wire can carry that amperage!

RE: Pulling a TT that is pulling a Boat Trailer

Legal in some states behind a fifth wheel. No only your state, but those you plan on visiting for legality.

RE: 12V fuse in junction box on trailer frame

I meant amperage output in my previous post. According to model of converter, it is 40 amp. Fuse or circuit breaker should be a 40 amp. No, in boost mode the voltage goes up which will reduce amperage.

RE: 12V fuse in junction box on trailer frame

What is the output of your converter? What size wire from converter to batterires? As a norm, the fuse/circuit breaker can be the same size as the converter output IF the wire is large enough to handle the amperage. Loose connection would be a possibility. Make sure the fuse holder has not rusted!

RE: Hydraulic fluid for Lippert Ground Control

Here is from one of their owner's manuals. Fluid Recommendation Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) with Dexron®III or Mercon®V or a blend of both is recommended by Lippert Components, Inc. For a list of approved fluid specifications, see TI-188. To obtain this Technical Information sheet online, go to documents/ti-188-hydraulic-operation-fluid-recommendation. Look for TI188: Hydraulic Operation Fluid Recommendation within the listings. NOTE: In colder temperatures (less than 10° F) the jacks may extend If you have your owner's manual it should show for your specific system.

RE: Jacking & moving without installing trailer battery

You should be able to use the trailer connector. Make sure you isolate the positive battery cable. It may move slow! Could use a battery pack to operate jack!

RE: New refrigerator bloows breaker

If you have one of the three light testers, see what it says about receptacle. It is not good to disconnect the ground. I would not trust a tech that does it.
