RE: Delmanation repair help needed

I have done a lot of delam repair and its been holding up fine for about 4 years now. I use gorilla glue only. Yes it bubbles out and needs to be trimed, but it is urethane based and waterproof. Also cheap.

RE: Nomadland

So I thought more about the movie then heard it won all kinds of awards. Know what I think now: it is a stupid movie. I just wanted to see Quartzite to see what it is like and hopefully see some cool old campers. Not interested in thinking about the bad stuff that happens to people. I got enough of my own.... But it made me realize that the BLM free camping areas will probably be a mess by the time I ever get over there. Gotta keep looking for places to go....

RE: Nomadland

Thanks , I felt about the same way. Looking forward to a long trip probably 6 -8 months, but not gonna sell the old homestead. Need to have a place to come home to.... Easy to plan but I know my plans are not the ones that count.

RE: Removing factory silicone sealant

My advice - remove silicone and residue as suggested. I use Proflex and Dicore interchangeably. Never heard of the one you referred to.

The new movie: Nomadland

Howdy, any one seen that new movie Nomandland? Kinda weird, but some parts probably resonate with all of us. Always wanted to go to Quartzite AZ. not so sure now as it didn't look that great. Not a particularly nice story because it had a lot of sadness and loneliness in it... But it was ok. (didn't show any cool campers in it)

RE: One more week then "empty nester"

So life goes on... The last 30 or so years were just a blip. If you walk around upstairs in my house' it's like a time stood still. All the toys, teddy bears.... are all in the same place. Makes me wonder what I'm gonna do with all that stuff. Folks say now is your time but it is difficult to see it that way. Life is still the same, just no kids around.

RE: One more week then "empty nester"

Howdy, thought I'd share my experience. I have 3 kids 22,25 and 28. All doing great. When the last one left it kinda hit me hard. I never did a lot of stuff on my own and I don't have many friends or hobbies. All I ever did was stuff with the kids . When they were all gone, I didn't know what to do with my self and was kinda depressed. Getting easier now. Looking forward to the future and interacting with all of them as peers instead of parent like. I still feel a little ( a lot sometimes) sad when I walk by their empty bedrooms. They still like camping and we will go on camping trips together and I look forward to that. But it is an adjustment for me. I now it sounds trite but it sure went by fast.....

RE: Seating

All great ideas here. Thanks to all , as I have been thinking about this since our kids have all grown up and now just the 2 of us. I think I am going to go the new dense foam and new "easy slide over" covers, as we want to keep the dinette set up ..

RE: Class C RV Bomb

Morning Folks. I agree that the class c in question looked like a Coachman to me. It really stinks that an RV was used for this purpose. Just another thing to be depressed about..... I hate any bad press about RV's

Winter - Mice Nest location warning

Howdy, could be any type but I have found mice nests down in the engine, under the intake manifold (2002 Ford V 10). Look out for them there. Also couple years ago they ate my paper air filter and it wrecked my MAF (Mass Air Flow ) sensor. Just sayin look out for them and the damage they cause....

RE: Roof type - leaks

I found fiberglass best over rubber and aluminium. But for a large spend - suggest the seller conduct internal presurized leak test and report any leaks.

RE: New to us 2006 Winnebago

Just a clarification to my post above. Where I said AC (not air conditioner, althogh that will only work when plugged into the generator outlet in the compartment or campground plug) I mean the shore power cord must be plugged in

RE: New to us 2006 Winnebago

All good and excellent advice here. I have a 2003 winnebago mini 24v. There is no transfer switch. The AC must be plugged in as shown above for the generator to work with the vehicle. But not related to this stuff, check your over head bunk area for leaks on the sides. This vintage winni is subject to insuffecitnt seal at the corner molding below the side windows of the over head bunk. Seveal other owners of similiar yoar winnies have share this with me and they were right. Gotta seal it up with Dicor or some other method. I completely removed the molding and coverd the corners with eternabond then replace the aluminum molding. PM if you want more details.

RE: RVing in the winter

Howdy, I have traveled from MA to FL several times in the dead of winter. You have a few days of sub freezing temps.. before anything actually freezes - especially if you are moving daily. Keep the propane filled up and a small electrical heater is good if you have a hook up. I have found the onboard furnace (2002 Winnebago Mini) suffecient for 1 overnight at zero degrees, perfectly fine to keep comfortable.

RE: How to Fix a Squirrelly Front End?

All good avice above. Just one more thing to add. I suggest you focus your search for a capable shop - To specifically a TRUCK repair facility. Often times businesses that focus on trucks like that have the word Spring in their name. But the few times I have had to get repairs - automotive shops simply do not cut it for campers. Gotta go to a full blown truch shop. After you find one have all worn parts replaced. Then nicely ask to have the specs. HARVARD supplied, used on the alignment. May require purchase of (2) ecentric adjusting cam bushings....

RE: Replacement Black Water Holding Tank

Howdy, Here is a tank company https://www.tank-mart.com/rv-marine-tanks/rv-holding-tanks/?mode=grid&p=2&matchtype=b&network=g&device=c&adposition=&keyword=&campaign=1597155550&adgroup=59107899303&keyword=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIi4HLyZ3p7AIV6v3jBx0EQANQEAAYASAAEgJPLPD_BwE I would not have a black water tank repaired. the bonding may be effected by the holding tank chemicals. I once fixed a tank because I thought it would not be available. It turned out I eventyally found one. All of them are. There are many vendors out there. Google and you will see.
