RE: Tires and their pressures

On a SRW one ton I would think 80psi would be the correct pressure for towing.

RE: 5th wheel pin lubricate

Wow Gary, always enjoyed your posts, and messages! But hearing of your smearing grease all over your nice B&W, IDK?? :) I had an elderly neighbor, that purchased a new B&W, to put in his new GM. He had trouble seeing, to line things to hook up, using a 1/4" disc. I told him to get the thinner 1/8" disc. Instead he got a big can of spray grease, that he sprayed all over his pin, all over his hitch, the bed of his new truck, and likely his glasses. He gave up (health issues), sold everything. Anyway...Gary...take a look at that 1/8" disc, that B&W now sells on their page. I will send a check, if needed, but with your fancy rig, money should be a non-issue! Jerry Honestly I didn't know they even made an 1/8" disc, but sounds like the ticket.

RE: 5th wheel pin lubricate

Good old grease for me, no worries about high hitching my B&W with it's thick jaws.

RE: Understanding towing weights?

I haven't seen any 3/4 ton diesel CC 4x4 with a payload of 3563, unless this a new offering from whatever brand. If you want higher payload limits, and no what if's, more stable towing, just get a 1 ton drw.

RE: MIA...

The handle, and rod probably came unscrewed from the valve and was lost in transit somewhere.

RE: Suspension Help Needed

If you are not over weight get some Bilstein shocks for the truck, and if it still bounces add air bags to help the suspension.

RE: gas shortages along Interstates

Those people filling up 7, 5 gallon jugs are the same type of fools that bought 3 carts full of toilet paper last year at Costco, its all about them.

RE: Replacement axles

5200# axle has a 3/16" x 3"tube, 6000# has 1/4" x 3"tube. Spindle, brake backing plate, and inner bearings are the same, outer bearings are same ID but different OD or width. Both are normally 6 lug hubs.

RE: Benefit of extra fuel tank.

I ordered a 10 pack of those vent caps, and installed them on all my fuel cans.

RE: cost of Morryde suspension.

Be sure to get the HD shackles with wet bolts when upgrading the equalizers, and the MorRyde xfactor brace will add side support to the spring hangers.

RE: Pullrite Super 5th VS B & W Companion

Only thing better than a B&W is two B&W's, I have the Companion, and slider Companion base, but mostly use the slider for the option if needed.

RE: Pullrite Super 5th VS B & W Companion

I've heard of people forgetting to pin the handle on the B&W, and it never came loose.
