RE: Sales Hints

Just a small note. When i bought my first motorhome in 2003 in Connecticut they had no temporary permits and either you brought your own plate or borrowed the selling owner's plate. You needed your own insurance. you had to have written permission from the plate owner to use it. and don't cross Massachusetts. They don't recognize paper plates and since you are therefore driving an unregistered vehicle, you must not have insurance and your vehicle is seized and you go directly to jail. So plan to drive around Mass and not through it!

RE: MHS Motor Home Specialist

I visited them in 2009. They gave me a golf cart and said have at 'er! The locked ones aren't for sale but the open ones are. If you want to test drive one come back to the office and we'll find you a salesman. I spent three hours looking at the units on the lot, very nice day.

RE: Bought a new coach & what about address

Take the advice in the link to "Domicile State" with a grain of salt. The writer is inclined to take the rules for one state and assume they apply everywhere in the world. This stuff is very spwfic to where you currently live, where you are trying to count as a resident, and where you physically spend your time after the move. be very, very careful if there is a substantial amount of money involved. I once registered a motorhome in North Carolina based on the idea that Mayberry Campground in MT. Airy NC was going to host it in the winter for me while I went back to Nova Scotia. NC uses the place where the motorhome lives as the deciding item for registering in NC. That was in 2008 and with all the talk about people's 401C's becoming 001c's when someone knocked on our door in the campground in Florida and offered cash we took it

RE: Towing

i was at the flying j in Dillon, SC about 2005 and saw a lady at the pumps. She had a Bounder hauling a mini-pickup like a ford Ranger with a trailer and a small airplane on the trailer. I remember the fold up wings. Sorry, no pictures.
