RE: water pump question...

Leak in the system. Any water UNDER the coach? Most common cause is the inlet valve on tank fill. Second most common is the drain valve being partially open. When was the last time you cleaned the filter?? Perhaps it didn't seal completely. Check the pump for leaks after checking the above two items. Let us know how you make out...Dennis Should have done a bit of 'searching' before I posted. Somehow...(?) the cold water valve for the outside shower was ON. The valve's nob had been turned several revolutions...(?). How (?)! The compartment door was locked so not possible for an 'intruder' to have access to the valve. Could it be that we have a 'possessed' MH? Probably not. But, this little mystery will surely go down in the annals of RV mysteries...likely never to be solved :E.

RE: water pump question...

It's possible that You've left your Fresh Water Inlet valve on "tank fill" rather than "normal". This will cause the pump to run continuously. Thanks! I'll check it out...

water pump question...

My water pump has suddenly started running constantly when on. Any thoughts about the cause of this?

RE: Televisions don't work...need advice

OP Update: Found the inverter in a basement compartment. But, hard to get to due to a metal housing surrounding the unit. However, there is receptacle on the face of the inverter very similar to a GFI receptacle with a reset button. I was able to reach the button and pushed it in (several times) but each time no change...tv's still dead. The problem, I suppose, is with the inverter? I guess it's time to give up and let CW trace down the problem.

RE: Televisions don't work...need advice

Do you have the OWNERS MANUAL for your RV? That manual from Winne is VERY complete and even shows a Pic of the Inverter. The pic shows the GFCI ON the front of the Inverter and the button you push to reset it. Doug PS, the remote Inverter panel is not even close to the actual Inverter. Doug, I do have manuals and, yes, they are detailed. The remote control panel is right below the other controls but I have no idea where the inverter is located. The manuals do not provide that information.

RE: Televisions don't work...need advice

When you find the inverter, most likely you won't see something that looks like a breaker, more like a reset button. On mine it's really small and recessed. Look for a small round button that you push...my money is on the inverter...That said, is the key OFF??? ....Dennis Dennis, the key is off. Neither t.v. is viewable by the driver thus no need for ignition control. Re: the inverter. I agree that that's where the problem lies but I have no idea where it's located. Would it possibly require removing a panel (which I will not do) to access. If so, that would seem a bit odd.

RE: Televisions don't work...need advice

You did not list your specific model number, so here's the link to Winnebago's electrical wiring diagram for all motorhomes they ever manufactured. Click on your year followed by specific model. Look on the list and select the TV Wiring diagram. Start there. If you need more info on other wiring, just select the diagram that corresponds to your need. Winnebago wiring diagrams Thanks! Good information. But, not being an electrical engineer, not of much help. I'm to a point of taking it to CW and let their technician figure it out. But, again thanks...

RE: Televisions don't work...need advice

Check for a reset button on your inverter if you have one Most Motorhomes, if you have the smaller Inverter, power the entertainment systems. If it fails or the breaker ON the Inverter is tripped you lose power to the entertainment 120 plugs. FIND the Inverter and check its power and reset buttons. Doug Any idea where the inverter might be located? 2017 Winnebago Sunstar. OP: Found the inverter control panel. Maybe now I can trace the problem. When (if) I locate the culprit, I'll post that info. Thanks to all who responded.

Is it possible you have a GFI tripped? I checked GFI circuit and all others. All apparently not tripped.

Televisions don't work...need advice

Both t.v.'s quit working at the same time. Appeared to me to be a tripped circuit breaker. So, I looked and no breaker was visually tripped. Just in case, I opened and reclosed all the breakers but t.v.'s still off. They are the only things off...all other electrical areas work. I can't see where each of the two t.v.'s are 'plugged in'. The one in the front is the type that comes up out of the counter. The one in the bedroom is apparently plugged in inside the wall area. In short, can't locate receptacles. I hope one of you readers can clue me in to a possible problem - location - (fix). Short of that...as much as I hesitate... back to CW.

RE: Where in Tallahassee area...

Have you talked with Sermons alignment (off west tenn st )? They are great at alignments.fyi we also live in crawfordville. Thanks! I did talk to them this a.m. and will be taking the MH to them Friday. He is very familiar with the steering wandering and knowledgeable about the movement of caster more to positive. Just wondering, do you have a MH and, if so, have you experienced the steering problem? This our 4th and each has had this same problem.

Where in Tallahassee area...

Is there a alignment shop in the Tallahassee area that will agree to change the 'spec' caster setting to one of 5 to 6 degrees positive? The shop I normally use for alignments is hesitant to set at anything other than factory spec.

How's the mountain driving...

Planning to go basically NNW from Clayton, Ga. to Sweetwater, Tn.I know, according to the map, that some of that area is mountainous but was wondering if there are steep grades. I don't mind mountain driving but try to avoid long, steep climbs and descents. If you know the area, will appreciate your response and advice.

RE: Just venting....

Buy a 50 to 30 adapter and a 30amp cord...back to the good old days and problem solved. Such a simple but workable solution! Thanks for the reply...

Just venting....

We've owned MH's with both 30A and 50A service (not the same MH ;). Our current MH has 50A service. There are, of course, advantages to having the higher amp service such as simultaneously running both a/c units, microwave and other draws. However, and frankly, I miss the 30A with its much smaller and easier to handle cord. The 50A cord, particularly in cold weather, is at times, like trying to return it to the storage bay as if it were a 20' 2x4 board. I know there's no solution to this problem but just had to get it off my chest. Don't think I'll ever buy another MH with 50A service. Well, actually, don't think I'll ever buy another one...period. Age is catching up with me and it won't be long before we'll have a 'hanging up the keys' ceremony... PS Can someone direct me to instructions on how to change my signature. The MH listed was three MH's ago. Presently have a 2017.
