RE: California and Oregon coast in winter

We love Seal Rocks Cove RV. Beautiful views of the ocean waves crashing on the rocks. Best views of anywhere we’ve been.

RE: What TV/Sat set up should I get?

Without a second thought I would recommend Dish. We had dish for years but ATT convinced us to switch to direct. After 6 months of Direct we finally convinced them to let us cancel without paying the early disconnect fee of nearly $300. We had spent over 8 hours with various techs on line, on phone and in store and they could not fix their glitch. We could never connect/stream through the 2 new phones they sold us. Apple 8plus. Then Dish gave us $300 for coming back to them! We have Dish at home and the Dish tailgater in the 5wheel. We get HD and excellent service, we are back to being happy campers with Dish.

RE: Is this actually possible??

You can’t siphon chunks! But it makes a guy chuckle.

RE: Towing capacities aren't realistic, completely unachievable

If my old 2004 F250 had a stick instead of auto trans I would have a greater towing capacity. Wouldn’t that have to do with warranty instead of safety?

RE: What length sewer hose?

I have used the Sewer Solution now for 10 years. Very satisfied with this simple solution to dumping the tanks. I use a 15’ flexible 1” diameter hose with 30 feet of 1” pvc in 5’ lengths with slip joint couplings in lengths. If I need a long run I just slip the needed pieces together with a piece of duct tape to make sure they don’t disconnect. Never any leakages and can discharge up to 3’+ uphill in a 30’ + run. Makes a nicer cleaner work then the stinky slinky.

RE: Satellite TV is Dead, Direct TV just lost 267,000 customers

After having dish with the tailgater for ten years, ATT convinced me to go with direct. After 6 months of their system never connecting with the new phones we bought I had enough. We had spent over 7 hours on the phone with multiple technicians and over 4 hours with multiple techs in their stores. I called ATT and politely but firmly let them know I wanted to cancel their direct tv service and I did not feel that they should charge me the $240 early disconnect fee. After a month they haven’t billed me, so far so good. Now the rest of the story. I had sold my tailgater system for $250. I found a newer one for $100 in better condition than the one I had sold AND Dish gave me $300 for coming back to them! I am now a very happy camper with extra $$ in my pocket and a tv system that works, even through my phone too if I wanted. I am a Dish believer!

RE: Removable shore power cord inlet

I mounted a 3” pvc pipe lengthwise under my 5wheel and just slide my 50 amp power cord in the pipe. Works for me.
