RE: Thanks to Colorado Springs Dodge!

Colorado Springs Dodge is where I have all my service done. I did not purchase my truck from them but they are always fast in scheduling work. Recently my radiator cracked and I called them on Monday and got it in on Wed. for the new one. During the time they had it one of my dually fenders was damaged. They took care of all the body work plus fixing a dent I had put in it for no charge. They didn't like the first paint job so shot it all again and did a great job.

RE: Montrose or Glenwood Springs area

Centennial RV is very nice and lots of things to do in that area. Montrose has plenty of eating places also. Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Escalante wilderness, Grand Mesa, Telluride and Ouray are some places to visit. We will be there again in 2 weeks. I have played 2 nice courses there at Divide Ranch golf club near Ridgeway and The Bridges In Montrose.

RE: Colorado Fall Colors

we stayed at Arrowhead Point RV park, just north of Buena Vista CO and found it nicely located for day drives to Aspen and Leadville. Lots of color in mid to late Sept. This is one of our favorite places to stay. Beautiful drive over Cottonwood Pass plus other great areas for fall colors.

RE: Where do you store your Shoes, Boots, Sandals and Slippers

We use a hanging shoe holder that is 8 compartments and hangs on one end of our closet rod. Hiking shoes don't fit but it works for my wifes tennies and slippers. We have a metal rack on the floor for my shoes.

RE: Absolute positively the worst road ever

You are right accsys. That is why we bought the Motor Carrier's Atlas. We were leaving out of Las Vegas, NM and at the time figured it was a short cut to get us to our road to I-40. By the time we realized we were in deep yogurt there was no where to turn around. I wrote this as a warning to anyone who might get on this highway by mistake. DON'T DO IT!!! Experience is the best teacher. The road we actually wanted was Hwy 84 the connector to I-40. Hwy 84 is a great road to I-40.

RE: North from Colorado to Mt Rushmore

We just made this trip this fall. The shortest route is 24 to Limon, then 70 to Brush and I 76 to Sterling. Sterling to Sidney, NE and pick up 385 into SD. Much of 385 is divided highway and a good road. 385 goes into Hot Springs and into the Black Hills. Highway 79 at Hot Springs goes north into Rapid City depending on where you are staying.
