RE: Smart TV

We use several smart TV's this way. We also have an over the air antenna so we have an Amazon Fire TV Recast over-the-air DVR hooked to the modem. I wired the DVR to the modem using cat 5 to reduce traffic on the WIFI slightly. Hooked the OTA antenna to the DVR. Have streaming and DVR'd OTA now. Works well for us. Dave

RE: Power boost for Ford 450 V10

We've had a 5 Star Tuner in our 32' Class C for 6 years now and its been excellent. Moves the max HP slightly closer to the max torque figure and changes the transmission shifting performance to be practical. Prolongs the pulling before shifting when you have an incline and shifts again promptly after you reach the top. You still need to drive it to get the RPM up on steep climbs. I never need to exceed 4000 rpm with her. And, very unexpectedly we got a 1 to 1-1/2 mile increase in our MPG. Towing a toad or 2 harleys on a trailer we get 8-8.5 on reasonably level driving. Dave

RE: Ford V10

You might look into a 5 Star Tuner for the V10. We've had one in our 32' Class C that we tow with. Made a huge difference in climbing and cruising. We tow a Chevy tracker with ours which probably is similar in weight. We have better shifting, climbing and even 1 MPG better mileage. Dave

RE: 5 Star Tune

We've had a 5-star for 6 years now in our 2005 31' Class C and love it. It definitely straightened out the shift patterns and improved the hill climbing a lot. I can pass a lot of diesel pushers climbing hills without straining her any. We even gained about 1 1/2 MPG. Dave

RE: Which Michelin for Class C

We've been running XPS Rib tires for 3 years now. Our 31' C drives perfect, rides nice and no tire noise. Plus, they don't leak air constantly like our old BF Goodrich did. Highly recommended. Dave

RE: Ordering Parts Online

Good Morning. I have a 2005 Itasca Sundancer and have purchased many parts for it at Winnebago Parts. Including decals, vents, skylight, electrical etc. You can look up the parts if need be there and get a quote for your parts if in stock or an email letting you know they don't have it. Been good to work with over the years. Dave

RE: Dell update almost froze my Inspiron 500 series laptop

Yep, my Dell Inspiron booted but never gave me the desktop. Left it sit an hour but finally held down the power button to turn off. Unplugged it and removed the battery. Left it sit for a minute and put it back together, turned it on and everything fine. It seems to require the unplug/battery removal occasionally when it gets locked up. Always works fine after that (until next update from Dell) Dave

RE: Dually valve extenders

Stay away from the screw on type, most of them leak. They are also not intended to be used with TPMS which keeps pressure in the stem all the time. Then they really leak. We went with Borg all around. Be sure and get the rubber wheel hole supports for them at the same time. Dave

RE: Howling wind

We've had to pull in our slide a few times to slow down the rocking. Once even had the Winegard travl'er antenna bent it was so bad. Dave

RE: Garmin GPS

We use CoPilot RV on a 9" tablet for this. Works great. Dave
