RE: AUX camera input Superduty: always live, at any speed?

I don't think that will do what you want. From what I remember it is disabled above 10k and I'm also pretty sure it only works in reverse.

RE: any "must have option"? Midwest 2020 custom F350 gasser

don't think I'd order the 11,400 GVW package, that's actually a downgrade from the standard 11,500. Only 100 lbs but why? I see you are located in Canada Ford.com (usa) when i use custom build... 11,400 GVRW for 4x4 8' bed crew cab 6.2 gasser 2019 - is the max, and is an option "up" FWIIW :-) J suit yourself but you are misinterpreting the site. You don't have to select anything and you get a 11,500 gvw... that's the standard, nothing to do with being Canadian. the 10K and 11,4K packages are paper downgrades useful for licensing purposes.

RE: First time Eternabond user observations

I like to put Dicor on the edge, it seems the adhesive on the edge attracts dust/dirt and looks bad if you don't.

RE: new ?’s: options on custom order 2020 Ford F-350 6.2L gas

I have the WeatherTech mats and they are ok but Husky mats are better.

RE: new ?’s: options on custom order 2020 Ford F-350 6.2L gas

When I bought my 2017 I went to a fully loaded platinum trim. It has every option. Features I like: -360 cameras, also bought a camera to add to the camper so I have the 360 cameras when camper is on -adaptive cruise, wouldn't have order this but it's one of my favourite features now -automatic dimming lights -automatic retracting running boards -Factory LED lights, IMO aftermarket don't look very good -powerscope mirrors -5th wheel kit, for me the plug is in the perfect spot to plug in. Also got a gooseneck kit that's ready to go if I need to help on the farm -upfitter switches Features I wouldn't want again: -massaging seats -adaptive steering, just doesn't seem to make much difference to me -sunroof, I have no use for but seems to be included in most packages -BLIS, disabled with the camper on which is most of the time for me I went with a DRW 350 but really wish I would have went with the 450 for the much tighter turning radius and larger wheels. I had 20" on my last truck so the 17" just don't look right to my eye.

RE: Ford SuperDuty more bumpy + jittery empty, than when loaded?

My family has had Ford's for years. We've had good luck with them but I've always thought they were a bit worse on washboard type of roads than the others when empty. The old twin I-beam were a real handful on washboards, at least now it's mostly just the back end moving around. I've driven gravel roads most of my life so I'm mostly used to it now.

RE: Non stop fan on AC

That drove me nuts on my non-ducted as well. I installed a new control unit so I could control it with the thermostat. Toughest part was running the thermostat wire to the unit as mine was not ran from the factory. The uTube vid below is essentially what I did except I used a standard battery powered house thermostat that I had already installed. Because I used a house thermostat I only have 1 fan speed though so I chose low. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BR8To1Yt2xQ&t=570s&fbclid=IwAR1bB_lReNtcD4zp0umOvr2maYu9GS4LWQW2CR6J-ZjXGdWAraZLv8RldJU

RE: Tech problem with MaxxFan Deluxe--need advice

Interesting, I've had no problems with mine. Something I'll have to look into, when it's cold in the winter I see voltage up to 16v with temp compensation from my charge controller, although unlikely to be using the fan then. I Did come across a video on the everlanders page about issues with condensation. He coated his with a conformal coating. I plan to do this soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkIDSVldJis&t=1s

RE: Installing Rieco-Titan Swing Away on AF990?

Please tell me I'm not the only one that's forgotten to turn them out? more accurately I forgot to fold 1 of them out. Crumpled the fender on my brand new truck. I couldn't believe it though, just backed up again and the fender popped right out, a bit of baking powder to get rid of the paint transfer and can't even tell anything happened. May be one advantage of the Ford plastic add-on fenders.

RE: Which to comprimise on? Toilet or Heat?

I'll be interested to hear your feedback on how the heating system works in the winter. I like the idea but don't have any experience with it.

RE: Electric Jacks

I had one motor go bad. Since then I've covered the motors with 3-gang electrical box gaskets year round. They probably don't look that great and maybe it's placebo, not sure... but haven't had a problem since.

RE: Do you unload when you camp? Really?

I don't see a lot of truck campers in the campgrounds I've been to, but of the ones I have seen I've never seen one unloaded.

RE: What am I missing on GVWR??

larkyblast: would you mind sharing what dealer it is that carries the Cirrus, I promise I'm not going to go buy it from under you, just like the campers and would like to take a look at one.

RE: What am I missing on GVWR??

I try to stay out of these posts but since you're also in Alberta and I assume you will likely be traveling to BC then you may want to check out some of their documentation. I read the link below to be that they do go by GVWR but maybe your interpretation is different. I'm sure you've heard the stories as well but I can't really find out if they are fact or fiction. https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/transportation/driving-and-cycling/traveller-information/seasonal/recreation-trailers

RE: Overwhelmed with camper choices; insight appreciated

Hiya neighbour. I think your concern with the cold is quite accurate. I've stayed in my Adventurer at -25C but that was with power. It's supposedly 4-season but the furnace didn't stop much. I've never actually tested it but I'm not sure if I could make it through a night at that temp with my two batteries. I also have 300w of solar but again I'm kinda useless to you because I haven't been able to test it. I bought this and set it up for that use (for me quadding in the winter) but then my group blew up and plans changed and it never happened :(

RE: Lance Bed Plug Location in 2017-2019 SuperDuty?

depends on the truck camper, AFAIK there are no standards with campers. My first one the plug was front drivers side, current one the cable is rear drivers side so the factory 5th wheel location works well.

RE: Rear Camera

yes I get backup lines and the 360 view, odd that they are different because the camera I linked is the one in my tailgate and also the one KayTeg has. My truck is a 2017, maybe they changed it since then. Your plugs must be different when you disconnect the tailgate as well. Mine has two plugs to disconnect the tailgate, the bigger plug looks similar to the plug you posted but it's not for the camera, just the electronics. The smaller brown Fakra cable is for the camera on mine.

RE: Rear Camera

SoonDockin: I found the cables on ebay, just search for 'brown fakra cable f to f' they're keyed differently by color so you want the brown PS: I see that it doesn't match the camera you got... I think they sold you the wrong camera. That camera looks like the one meant to plug into the 'trailer camera' The part# I have for the OEM tailgate camera is part # hc3t-19g490-df I got that part# from the link below https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1487287-looking-for-a-5th-wheel-tailgate-camera.html I have the 360 cameras and Platinum trim, it may be different for the lower trims.
