RE: Is a ventless washer dryer efficient

Thanks for the advice. There are a lot of ventless on Facebook marketplace for cheap. There must be a reason.

Is a ventless washer dryer efficient

I'm looking at buying a washer/dryer combo for my fifth wheel. Does a ventless take a lot longer to dry? Where does the moisture go with a ventless? Is it discharged into the RV?

RE: 1988 Aluminum roof covering suggestion

Thanks guys. This must be what happened 4 years ago after I bought the EPDM. I did nothing. Lol The roof looks good to me but I remember people talking about aluminum developing pinholes. But I don't see any oxidation. And when this was built, they didn't try using the thinest material they could get away with. So, I think I'll take your advice, keep it clean and let it be.

1988 Aluminum roof covering suggestion

I have a 1988 Travel Master (Coachman bought them). I am currently removing and putting new lap sealant on all the joints. It has an aluminum roof on it that has been there for 34 years. Hard to believe and it is still doing the job. But I think it's time to do something to take it another 10 years. I have had the RV for 5 years and a few years back I bought a gallon of Pro guard Liquid Roof EPDM sealant. It is kind of like epoxy in that you add a catalyst and mix. Any comments about coating an aluminum roof are appreciated.

RE: RV Cover suggestions

Extra straps are key. Otherwise, it can be a parachute. Thanks

RE: RV Cover suggestions

Read the whole thing. It goes back and forth pros and cons just like I'm thinking. The article reenforces my confusion. Lol

RE: RV Cover suggestions

Thanks for the advice. I hear what your saying about fixing the leaks. The problem is if something happens in the winter or like right now where it's raining 30 days and 30 nights in Maryland I can't do anything about it. But the RV came with a very light fabric cover and the winds ripped the thing apart and blew it off so you really have to strap it down big time

RE: 1989 Ford 460 E 350 not running, need help

It could also be a fuel issue. You can drive it but can't get up to speed. i have a 1988 FI 450.Mine has 2 fuel pumps. One in the fuel tank. Low pressure. Then one on the frame. High pressure.

RV Cover suggestions

Got a 1988 Class C 27ft. Struggling with small roof leaks and sun beating on the fiberglass. Would like to cover it when I'm not using it. Reviews seem mixed on covers. Anyone happy with their cover?

RE: Is it smart to Register a 5th wheel in Maine

Do 5th wheels require inspections in NC or MD to get tags?

RE: Is it smart to Register a 5th wheel in Maine

This 5th wheel was tagged and titled in NC. The seller said she was required to have the title notarized to sell it and my name was required to be on the title as the buyer. So I have to get a new title in my name to sell it. So I might as well title it in NC. Only 3% tax in NC. I'm from Maryland and it's a 7% tax

Is it smart to Register a 5th wheel in Maine

I just bought a 2016 fifth wheel in North Carolina and I'm going to park it in North Carolina should I get tags and title in North Carolina or in Maine

RE: Dometic Freezer working, fridge Not cooling

Thanks Doug. I was going to have someone test it for me with the slides in. It sounds like that won't work. Correct? Fyi. The slides were out when I tested.

RE: Dometic Freezer working, fridge Not cooling

What is the purpose of the thermometer? To verify the digital reading displayed above the freezer?

RE: Dometic Freezer working, fridge Not cooling

I think the 120 element was working. I put my fingers on lightly and they were hot in Elec mode. But i was running LP which I knew was running because I could hear it. It is on a slide. Before I switched the board, the fridge held 38 and the fan ran a lot. It seemed to be running around 50/50. After I switched the board the fridge said 49 after 12-14 hours and I opened the doors a couple times to feel the fins which were not cold. I believe the fan was running but like it did before the board swap.

RE: Dometic Freezer working, fridge Not cooling

I had a trainee at Dometic. She didn't ask any questions and started pulling up frequently asked questions. She said it's either the control board or the thermistor. I just got the wrong person. I don't understand the metal fins in the fridge. The thermistor must tell the control board that the fridge needs to be cooled. Then what happens? The metal fins just didn't feel cold at all after 12 hours.
