RE: Boondocking Water Question

Thanks for the valve idea. Just ordered one. I will use the Oxygenics with this valve.

Boondocking Water Question

Our coach came with a nice shower head that has a shut off button to facilitate Navy showers. Do not know flow rate of this shower head. I purchased an Oxygenics shower head to conserve water usage when dry camping. However the Oxygenics shower head does not have a shut off button. It has a smart burst mode that reduces flow but not stop it. My question is what showerhead would be best to conserve water when taking a Navy shower. Thanks

Front Sumo Springs

I just installed front Sumo Springs on my 2021 Ford E450 chassis. Easy installation however when I lowered the chassis after installation, the Sumo springs do not rest on the axle. There is a half inch gap between the Sumo Spring and the axle. Is this normal? Thanks Sumo springs are the correct SSF 106-47 ordered directly from Sumo Sent email to Sumo for clarification but have not received reply yet.

RE: Winegard X2 storage bag

Here is the solution. According to a review on Amazon for a Winegard X2, this person reported that a 18" x 22" drum bag was a good fit and a "perfect solution." Protec Bass Drum, Black, Kick 18 x 22 (hgt x dia) (HR1822) -- Amazon $44.00 Quote: Perfect match for the Winegard Pathway X2 PA6002R Satellite TV Antenna By Donna k on Nov 03, 2018 If your having trouble finding a storage bag for the Winegard Pathway X2 PA6002R Satellite TV Antenna, the Heavy Ready 18 x 22" (Height x Diameter) Padded Kick Drum Bag by Protec, Model HR1822 was a perfect solution for the price.

RE: Winegard X2 storage bag

Thanks for suggestion but the King travel bag is 2 inches too small. The X2 is a tad bigger than these standard bags.

Winegard X2 storage bag

I have a Winegard portable X2 satellite dish and would like some type of bag or storage container to store dish in while traveling. Have not been able to find one. Has anyone found something to use to protect dish during travel . Thanks

RE: Dish TV Question

Dish now only charges $5 per each Wally. We go camping frequently so activating and deactivating Wally was a pain. So for $10 a month, I want to leave them active. Ran another coax from Dish. Problem solved. Thanks for the reply.

Dish TV Question

I just had a hopper 3 installed and Dish Tv installed a new satellite dish on the house for it. I also park my Rv in my garage and have 2 Wally receivers in it. Dish TV installer left the other older dish on roof with one coax coming from it to feed one Wally receiver since the Hopper 3 system would not allow a Wally in it. My question is ; Can I put a splitter on this coax from the old dish so I can feed both Wally receivers in the RV. Thanks

RE: Which is best? Dish Tailgater Pro or Dish Playmaker Dual

Looking to buy a used X2 but will use Dish Tv, Does the X2 require a power inserter to power the satellite or can it power the dish over the coax. Thanks

Coach House 272 First Impressions

Impressions In January 2020 we purchased a 2020 Tiffin Wayfarer 25RW. We took one camping trip in this Coach before the Pandemic began and decided that the Murphy bed Floorplan would not work for us. We have always had small Rv’s and therefore began a search for another small RV with a better Floorplan that would suit us. Finding a well made small Class A or Class C with a acceptable Floorplan was difficult. No class A shorter than 28’ was available and a Class C choice came down to a 2351D Phoenix Cruiser and a 272 Coach House. To avoid the OCCC problems with the Sprinter chassis, we wanted a new Ford chassis with 7.3 V-8 engine and the new safety features. We chose the Coach House because it was only 14 inches longer than the Tiffin Wayfarer and the bed could be used with the slide in which the Phoenix Cruiser did not allow. So in July 2020 we drove to Nokomis Fl and traded the Wayfarer in for a new Coach House to be built. Our coach was to be delivered in February 2021. Our coach was finally delivered to us on April 1, 2021. Our first impressions follow. The negotiations went well and we were prepared to lose money on our trade in but did get some discount off the msrp on the new Coach. We were able to leave Nokomis with a good feeling after touring their plant and viewing their solid construction process. When we returned 9 months later the PDI went smooth and after checking all aspects of the Coach on an overnight stay, we departed for home the next day. After driving 1200 miles home averaging between 70 and 75 mph, our trip meter showed 10.9 mpg. Once home I did a top to bottom inspection of the Coach and was impressed with the construction. All wires were securely attached, all entries into the Coach from below were foamed, heating pads on tanks included pads on not only the tanks but also the drain valves, the solid shell was impressive and the slide out battery tray with 3 AGM batteries outstanding. The interior was finished out nicely with leather recliners and fine cabinets. The 10 inch Garmin entertainment and navigation unit integrated into the Ford steering wheel was a welcome addition. Here are the pros of this unit; Solid aerodynamic shell that provided a very quiet ride Superb construction that left nothing to be corrected after delivery New Ford chassis with 7.3 V-8, safety features, OEM TPMS, adaptive cruise control and 6 speed transmission with manual downshift capability 3000 lbs OCCC with 7500 lb tow capacity Short Coach. 26’ 10 “ with walk around queen bed Fully functional interior with both slides retracted HWH leveling and HWH slides Firefly system with smart phone app capability All electrical outlets have USB Surge and electric protection built in, no external surge protector needed After 1200 mile trip home and one short camping trip, no faults have been discovered Here are some cons Bathroom and shower are small Not as fuel efficient as a Sprinter chassis We feel this is the best motorhome we have ever had and it makes sense that the best came last. We are in our 70’s and this will be our last RV. If anyone is considering downsizing from a large diesel pusher, I would recommend that they look at Coach House. We are sure glad we did. The bad news it is now an 18 month wait to have a unit built for you.

You might want to consider a wireless HDMi system instead of running HD content on coax.

RE: Charge wizard with Lithium upgrade to Converter charger?

If you have a progressive 3 stage charger and plug in the progressive charge pendant you can charge lithium batteries. By pressing the charge pendant, the charger will go into boost mode 14.6 volts and after 4 hours return to a safe 13.6 float charge. Progressive recommended this to me instead of replacing the charger with the lithium charger.

A B Switch

I have two coax inputs to use for my Dish Wally receiver. One input from roof top dish and the other input from outside portable dish. I am wanting to install an A-B switch to these two inputs to make it easier. However, I saw somewhere that since the Dish receiver sends power down the coax, an A-B switch is not recommended. Does anyone use an A-B switch with a Dish receiver and does it work. What type switch is possible. Thanks

RE: Just an FYI about Dish

We have a hopper 3 and 3 joeys in the house and a Wally in the Rv. We are only charged $5 extra to our home account for the Wally and leave it active all the time since our Rv is parked next to our house. The Dish installer stated that the Wally receiver will not work with a hopper 3 dish antenna. To keep the Wally active it uses our Rv dish Winegard T4 to receive signal.

RE: DFW Class C Sevice

Thanks for info but I am sure Ford does not authorize mobile mechanics to repair chassis warranty items. I searched the Ford commercial truck listings but this is not always accurate. I am hoping someone who has used a Ford dealer in the DFW area can comment on where he had warranty work done. Thanks
