RE: San Diego RV Repair

Thanks for the info but AC is now fixed. Mikes Rv in Madera fixed the Ac by finding a loose bolt so a trip to Dometic service in San Diego is not needed. I highly recommend Mikes Rv for any Rv repairs that need to be done near Yosemite park.

San Diego RV Repair

Currently in Yosemite and 1500 miles from home on a western trip. Unfortunately the roof air conditioner started making horrific noise. It still cools and blows air but sounds like something came loose. I do not have any way to get on roof, so we are headed to our next stop, San Diego. Can anyone recommend a repair facility in San Diego that will handle an out of town rver. We have a dometic air conditioner and hope these are available if a replacement is needed. Thanks

Solar Question

I just got portable solar panels and plan to put them out during the day while we explore the national parks. Since I will not be present to face the panel to the sun throughout the day, how should I face the panel initially for the best all day placement. Thanks

RE: Yosemite info needed

Will be traveling on 10/18. Middle of October. Another route around the park to the North on hwy 108 is also suggested. It is longer but would it be better or safer. Thanks

RE: Weapon storage before Baja

Thanks to Tally ho and tracker for your helpful info. Looks like a trip to discount gun mart in San Diego will solve problem.

Weapon storage before Baja

We are getting ready to travel to Ensenada Baja from Potero, CA and need a place to check weapon before crossing border. When we went to Rocky Point there was a store that would check our weapon for a fee and return it to us when we were back in The USA. If anyone know of a place near Potero that will check our weapon. Thanks

RE: Flex Solar Panel RV Upgrade - Mike Mas

What flex panels did you use , how did you attach them to roof and were you worried about heat build up underneath them. Thanks

RE: Help adding satellite to my RV

Satellite prewire usually means it is wired for a roof top satellite dish.

RE: Boondocking Water Question

Thanks for the valve idea. Just ordered one. I will use the Oxygenics with this valve.

Boondocking Water Question

Our coach came with a nice shower head that has a shut off button to facilitate Navy showers. Do not know flow rate of this shower head. I purchased an Oxygenics shower head to conserve water usage when dry camping. However the Oxygenics shower head does not have a shut off button. It has a smart burst mode that reduces flow but not stop it. My question is what showerhead would be best to conserve water when taking a Navy shower. Thanks

Front Sumo Springs

I just installed front Sumo Springs on my 2021 Ford E450 chassis. Easy installation however when I lowered the chassis after installation, the Sumo springs do not rest on the axle. There is a half inch gap between the Sumo Spring and the axle. Is this normal? Thanks Sumo springs are the correct SSF 106-47 ordered directly from Sumo Sent email to Sumo for clarification but have not received reply yet.

Possible RV AC

I wonder if this system could be modified for the RV market.

RE: Winegard X2 storage bag

Here is the solution. According to a review on Amazon for a Winegard X2, this person reported that a 18" x 22" drum bag was a good fit and a "perfect solution." RE: Winegard X2 storage bag

Thanks for suggestion but the King travel bag is 2 inches too small. The X2 is a tad bigger than these standard bags.

Winegard X2 storage bag

I have a Winegard portable X2 satellite dish and would like some type of bag or storage container to store dish in while traveling. Have not been able to find one. Has anyone found something to use to protect dish during travel . Thanks
