RE: Reliability of propane and water in slide

The only issue is fall/winter camping, the water lines are exposed and you would need to worry about that if temps dipped below freezing.

RE: Dish Tail gater walk away ?

I bought a heavy duty chain with BT that notifies my iPhone if the cable is cut. It also has a loud alarm. $40 on Amazon.

Gotta disagree with Gdetrailer. We live in the country with an enclosed metal pole barn with mice. Many years ago we had serious mouse intrusions until I tried PURE Peppermint ($20/bottle @ GNC) Oil on cotton balls. I have NEVER had a mouse intrusion since using this process. Gdetrailer you can diss my idea all you want, but it works for us. Plus our coach smells wonderful in the spring.

Iowa Hiway 59 from Shen, IA to Craig, MO

Hi All, Looking for anyone local near this route, as we are headed south to Arkansas in two weeks, and I29 from South of Omaha into MO is closed due to the recent flooding. Google maps show I can route south on Hiway 59 out of IA into MO and re-connect to I29 at Craig, MO. Has anyone driven this route? If so how are the roads, and any low overpasses, or other challenges as I will be driving a 42' MH towing. And is I29 really open at Craig, MO southbound? Thx, Jeff

Pure Peppermint oil on cotton balls in all hidden places and drawers. I even leave a few laying around on counters. Works 100% of the time for us, and the coach smells great!

RE: Vegas food

Hash House A Go Go is a must, one of the newest restaurants.

RE: I-29 closure, Northern Missouri and Iowa

IA DOT web site shows 2 closed both ways at I29, not to mention I29 is closed north and south at hiway 2 as well. You would need a boat to be in this area.

RE: I-29 closure, Northern Missouri and Iowa

For the east side of the Mo River detour, take I29 north to Craig, MO. Then exit to Hiway 59 north and travel that north to westbound Hiway 34. 34 will intersect with I29 at Glenwood, which is open for a bit northbound at that point. As you approach Co Bluffs, bypass the I29 closure north of CB, take I-80 East from CB to I-680 West and that will intersect with I29 again and you will be good to SXF. Neither one of these will add a whole lot to your trip, other than traveling on 2 lanes a bit.

RE: Outback IC

If they're using an old school "analog" or hybrid design, the transformer is the main inductor for stepping up low voltage to high (inverting) and stepping down high voltage to low (for charging) Inverting is actually converting from DC to AC current. The transformer does not "invert," it steps up or down voltage.

RE: Outback IC

The transformer typically steps up or down the input or output voltage.

RE: valance removal

Typically if you look up inside the valance near the walls you will see mounting screws. You will need to remove the valance to work on the shades. We have MCD shades with valances and they work very well.

RE: What is the problem with Camping World?

I have dealt with two Camping Worlds and also local Mom and Pop dealers and it is night and day!! The M&P want to keep your business as long as possible and treat you well. Not CW.

RE: What is the problem with Camping World?

Putting aside the corrupt Camping World RV financing and sales tactics, just try to have warranty work done from one of their stores. 90% of the time they don't fix it the first time, and after many many return trips, complaints and headaches they MIGHT fix it. Trust me, they are TERRIBLE!!

RE: Extended Warranty fir Class A

Camping World tried to sell me a maintenance contract for an outrageous price three years ago. Everything I have read says put that money in the back for any future maintenance expense. A lot of folks buy these expensive contracts and never use them or find out they are so full of loopholes they don't pay. The maintenance contracts companies (and CW thanks to the FACT they get a piece of the pie) are in business to make money, who do you think typically wins here? I have owned MHs for 10 years and that has been my philosophy and I have not been bit yet. Just my .02.

RE: One night running the heater and blower

The OP even posted that the furnace never even ran, after the fact. LOL!

RE: One night running the heater and blower

At 50 degrees I would have the windows open and enjoy the cool air. Or just use extra blankets and take off the chill in the AM when you wake up. Just other options.

RE: Heading to Mt. Rushmore

If you can find availability the KOA in the area is best for kids, two pools and lots to do, and LOTS of kids, LOL. Do the Steam Train to Keystone, Leadville, wandering burros in the state park, Hot Springs, and Mt Rushmore of course.

RE: another fiasco

BillyBob Jim, you are correct on the timeframe of my MH purchase with CW, three years ago could have used the help. Funny thing is I talked to several "help" CW reps, one was Ella, and got a lot of lip service, but not a bunch of help. They had my $$$, bottom line. BTW I still have a FW slide seal issue that I was told they would make right by the CW Sales Mgr the day I bought the MH, that I finally got so wore out from fighting and putting up with poor attempts to fix it that I finally just gave up.
