RE: washer and dryer or combo

space isn't an issue with us as we have plenty of space and lots of unused space. as far as the closet issue that is the only thing that may be an issue with some access to use them. but that is what it is.

washer and dryer or combo

Good Morning or afternoon, whatever it is where you are. I am in the process of the thinking stages and the pros and cons of combo units vs separate units. also where does the moisture go with a vent-less unit. I have the option of any combination of whatever in my fifth wheel, stack-able or separate. Units type, styles, brands etc. thanks in advance for your real life experience, not just an opinion.

RE: Tennessee

well, i thought i would look up this older post. we have made it through Memphis, stayed at TO Fuller, and now at Montgomery Bell. it is very nice here, we are enjoying the time and the trees. While the colors haven't really hit full color yet, we are in hopes next week down by Pigeon Forge. Thanks for the recommendations.

RE: Ice cream?

for us: if i put the ice cream on the shelf, it does stay somewhat soft. so i place the ice cream sandwiches under on the bottom of the freezer and half gallons too if we take that. We have always been able to keep our ice cream hard. Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !

RE: Type of Battery

i am at about four and a half years with my group 31 agm. They set me back about $250 each, twelve volt, and i haven't done anything with them since i installed them. They work great. as far as the sot comparison to regular $100 batteries, i am past the first whole year of breaking even. i will never not buy agm's again. maybe someday i can afford the lithium.

RE: Can a 5th wheel be backed into a loading dock?

i would agree, the main issue is stopping at eh end and of course the transition from level to slope. it looks a lot less than alot of goofy areas we have been in with our 33 foot. just keep a close eye on it and looks like it will work out. Do you have a friend with one that can help do a dry run before you go and buy one

RE: Help try to find an Old GSC member!

I sure hope that for privacy reasons Good Sam would not reveal any personal contact information. There are legitimate ways for the OP to obtain a title for his restored vehicle and those methods do not involve contacting previous owners. I would be appalled if someone contacted me about a vehicle I had previously owned. And I for sure wouldn't help a stranger try and get a title. For all I know the vehicle was stolen and the caller is trying to commit a fraud. Wow, I am surprised too. I believe, but not sure, The OP should be able to go to the DMV and apply for an abandoned title. I think. But irregardless, you should be able to get your info from the DMV. Good Sam, i hope you don't give out personal info.

RE: 5th wheels....heck of a following

the leveling off is as simple as it was for us with a bumper pull except unhooking and hooking up to the truck is easier, for me anyway. Leveling like said, side to side, then unhook and front to back, then stabilizers down. the level on the front that i can see from the cab is great. saves alot of in and out and up and down. Like anything else, you get used to it quickly. just have to remember when not really level from front to back, adjustment on the landing gear before you unhook is important. you will see and figure it out. Long run, i believe the cost for maintenance is the key for me so i am 99% sure we will stay with the fifth wheel.

RE: Dish Network has tough road to become mobile carrier

hi and i welcome myself to the topic. maybe i am in the wrong spot, just let me know if so. I am in the process of searching for the options of tv service. One of course that i can use while on the road. We do travel about once per week, throughout the year and a couple times a year at about 4 to 6 weeks. so with that said, i am contemplating using a system that i can just plug in at home and also take it with me while traveling. Cox as far as i know doesn't offer something like this. First off, am i in the right place? secondly, am i crazy? We do have cell service and wifi that i will not change as it has been good in 99.99999 % of all places we have been, even at home whencable is down. Thanks in advance. Jeff & Karen

RE: not your normal tire thread

we put Carlisle on in October of 2016 getting rid of the Lyons Head that was on our trailer from new. The LH had only about 10,000 miles on them and had one coming apart. We were in Ohio and discount had the Carlisle. I was concerned due to their previous record but they assured me they changed and the MPH and the quality changed. I did some checking before we had them put on and they did have some changes before i made the purchase. we probably have about 25,000 or more on them, back and forth in hot weather and cold. from east to west and north to south. they are still in great shape. I still plan on replacing them in october when they become 3 years old.

RE: Bedroom AC?

weather it is ducted or not, make sure your return inside the unit is sealed as it should be. take the filter off and look at the duct area just inside. sometimes the tape inside is not sealing where it needs to. if not, get some aluminum duct tape, the good stuff and seal it up. If it is ducted take a vent off at each end of the trailer and make sure you don't have any obstruction. For us, i had an issue with both, took care of them and my 15k unit takes care of the 33 foot fifth wheel. Also make sure you set your fan to on, not auto so it circulates the air all the time and it also helps it from freezing up. another option that helps is bubble foil for the windows.good luck

RE: The Rally?

Probably not, i sent a request some time back and was told that i needed to go to to the events calendar. nothing there that would be a rally. last one we attended was in Phoenix and it was an RV Super Show, not rally as we know them. We miss them as well. Wish they would bring them back. Maybe Marcus can take sometime away from his TV career and bring them back. I am sure they are expensive, but they also make money their too. Just my thoughts. Make it a great day.

RE: When to sign and what to sign? New 2019 trailer purchase.

i agree with the signing after all is done, completed etc. right before you take it home. Please take some time, you mentioned you only saw it once. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE SOME TIME AND GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS AS IF YOU ARE LIVING IN IT, sit on the toilet, brushing your teeth,go to the fridge, get in and out of bed, watch tv etc, etc, etc. I missed some things on a unit a few years back and traded it in within a month of owning it. Good Luck & Be Safe !!!

RE: 5th wheels....heck of a following

could be just because. My thought and it is for us as we debate on whether to upgrade to a different fifth wheel or go the motor home route. I think of the maintenance as the major issue and the associated cost with it. I think for us we would rather have the maintenance on the two rather than the one. On the other hand, storage is the next biggie in our thoughts. A fifth wheel offers a lot of room inside and with ever expanding floor plans the dealers offer, they are up there in square foot also. We raised our kids in a 740 square foot town home for a period of time, now we travel in a 300 plus square foot fifth wheel. OH MY, what ideas and thoughts go into our minds.
