RE: Is It Worth It?

I own a gas F 350 crewcab dually. I bought it in 2005 used with 18500 miles on it for 25,000. I now have 37000 on it. It is just to camp and small chores around the house. It does what I need and no it won't due 70 up a big hill, more like 40- 50 but I get their. I can't justify the cost of a new truck at 70,80,000 so I will struggle a little. I can buy a whole lot of gas for that much. She is old but still in good condition so I am keeping it.

RE: 5th wheel front tripod

They do take the wiggle out of the front of the trailer. I now use the JT stabilizers on the landing gear now. They are much easier to use. I did have a 30 ft. Fiver and had the landing gear switch get stuck and I had the 2 leg pin stabilizer and by the time I noticed the switch was stuck the landing gear was 8 inches off the ground. It held the front of that trailer up until I got the feet back on the ground and they were not even bent.

RE: Baggage Door Catch

I just switched my main compartment door to 2 magnetic ones and I love them. They are very strong and holds my big door just fine.

RE: Champion Dual Fuel 4500w Generator---$825

I have been looking too but would have to buy one more expensive
because I live in the great state of Calif. and they won't
ship it here. I would have to have it shipped to my brothers
house in Vegas and drive to get it which would cost a 100.00
in fuel to get it so I would have to order from someone who will
ship it here.I found one site that will ship it here but 100.00 more.
Was checking out the difference from the 200991 and 200998 and 200998 has slightly higher running amps and 200991 has automotive 12v plug. I did a comparison on champion site.

Trailer Legs

I just saw these today. They have been out for years and never seen them. I was wondering if anyone has used these and what your thoughts are about them. They say they can be used to store your trailer with the wheels off the ground.I want to use them to lift my fiver. Www.trailerlegs.com

RE: Equa-flex suspension?

Maybe a bad zert fitting. Might try replacing the zert with a new one. I had
To do that to one of mine.

RE: Spring suspension issues

I am not sure about moving those hangers too far. You may
spread them out too far and put them on too much of an angle
and may have a problem with the shackles
getting inverted by the equalizer. I went from 5 leafs to 6 on my fiver and it actually rode better. My new springs were a
1/2 inch shorter then the original ones and I got a little more seperation between the wheel. My wheels were only a inch apart
before the new springs. Good luck.

RE: Real world MPG Ford V10, what gear and cruising speed ?

I tow a 37' fiver at 13500lb. I get 7-8 towing and being conservative on the pedal. I get 10.5 at best empty with 4:30 rear gears on a 2002 f-350 4d dually using 87 octane.

RE: CA SMOG Testing: Anyone Have Trouble w/Non-CA Class A?

Most gas vehicles are 50 state smog legal. I bought a 2002 ford f 350 dually in 2005 from a ford dealer. Found out it was a nevada truck. Has been registered and smogged in cali since I bought it and has passed every time. I still own it and is going this year for another test. But I would still check on it. Make sure nothing has been altered.
