RE: Valve stem extension

https://yourtireshopsupply.com/category/796/dually-valve-kits
Be sure to get the rubber grommets to hold the extensions steady for each extension; also I had to stick the grommet in the hole in the rim with some silicone goop.

RE: DMV issues

A mail service simply gives you a box, a Personal Mail Box, PMB. You couldn't reside in that PMB, so that address isn't a "real" residential address.
Some such as Escapees and St. Brendan's Isle can provide you a real address that you could live at, a domicile address. You would also become a legal resident of Texas or Florida for better or worse.

RE: The horrible roads are killing the fun.

Generally speaking, travel on US highways and drive slower. Leave the interstates to the heavy trucks that tear them up.

RE: Florida Rt. 98

Camp at Newport; the road down to the St. Marks light is just across 98 and Wakulla Springs is just up the road. Be sure to do the boat tour.

RE: Florida Rt. 98

Don't get on it until east of Port St. Joe, lots of traffic. Then you'll have mostly water view until Panacea. Go to the St. Marks lighthouse at St. Marks NWR for a sightsee/picnic, no camping. From there you'll see nothing but pine trees until you get to Crystal River. Just past Homosassa follow 98 eastward and get on the Suncoast Parkway (toll) down to Tampa and miss lots and lots of traffic.

RE: Garmin 780 RV “sharp curves”

Those problems described with the RV 760 are map errors, not device errors. Many map errors get corrected by people reporting them; I've made several error reports that showed up on later Garmin maps. Obviously no one ever bothered to report the bridge out.

RE: Where have all the members gone on this forum?

Way back in the days of Fight-O-Net (Fidonet) and Compusplurge, essentially the first digital "group" communities, we had the same antisocial behavior. Nothing new, good groups and bad groups. Nothing to see here.

RE: Favorite way to skip the interstates?

Garmin will display that if it doesn't know what kind of road it is, suitable for large vehicles or not, aside from paved or unpaved. Just today it showed me that for Mississippi SR-6, of all things. I just ignore it.

RE: Favorite way to skip the interstates?

You have to be careful of your setup. Years ago I had the gps set to avoid highways and shortest route, so it tried it's best to route me across Atlanta on city streets. Fortunately I knew better.

RE: Are there any snowbird RV parks in New Mexico?

I don't recall any noseeums in Summerdale. A few early skeeters but nothing else of note.
For noseeums, try No-Natz spay or Avon Skin-So-Soft original bath oil.
