RE: Camper Cover

HERE
I bought one for my 1985 Chevy Silverado about 9 months ago. We had some heavy winds an there was a small tear. I sent pics and for $30 shipping they had a new one in my possession in less than a week. Lifetime warranty and really keeps the elements out.
These are car covers. They are looking for a 5th wheel cover.
schlep1967, go back and take a closer look at their home page, they not only make car/truck covers but jet ski, motor cycle/scooter, golf carts, and others to include RV covers.

RE: Something I've not seen before.

The odd thing about the king pin is that it does/did not extend up passed the plate of the pin box, should be 2/3 inches above the top of pin box plate where it should have had some type of reinforcement.

RE: 5th wheel hitch removal

As two or three others have said leave the turnover ball in and keep the companion to use later or sale.

RE: Can worn kingpins be refurbished?

I don't see why not, one would need to find a good welding shop that knows how to replace a king pin do it.

RE: wheels

Don't worry about the wheels being white spoke, not all TT's and 5ers come with aluminum rims. Yes I agree with kellem that wheels and tires you got will easily handle your trailer.

RE: Onan 4000 MicroQuiet - Quasi No Start (new carb needed?)

I tried to buy a fuel pump to keep as a spare. It has been discontinued.
If it's a Onan give Cummins a call they should be able to give you a replacement part no. for your discontinued pump.

RE: used price

Thanks all, after looking 11K would be a fair price for this 5er, just wanted to know what others would think going by just year, make, and model.
Yes I did do my homework on it.
It will have a new home soon.

RE: used price

No one can say without looking at it. Even pics, often don't tell the whole story! If you are familiar with RVs, you need to inspect it. If you really don't know what to look for, get a friend that does, or a professional inspection. As mentioned, that 2010 could be a better buy, than say a 2015, of the same model. In some cases, the area the FW is located will bring a higher/lower price.
WAG...I'd say 11K is fair, if it is in good to excellent condition.
Jerry
Thank you Jerry for giving me your opinion, this was the type of answer I was looking for.

RE: used price

Would $11,000 for a 2010 Keystone Cooper Canyon 252 be a fair price. Come on, doesn't anyone have a opinion on this, high or low.

RE: Dolly Towing a 2020 Chevy Silverado

Since you’re working, I’m guessing you don’t relocate constantly, just intermittently as work is complete at one site. If I was moving infrequently and wanted to avoid any restrictions now or later on what the towed vehicle is, I’d skip the dolly and go straight to a car hauler trailer.
I have to agree with Ductape, in my opinion it would not be much more trouble to load the truck on a trailer just two more strap down points and a larger space to store said trailer.

RE: Dually tire pressure

2019 Ram dually 65 rears and 80 fronts
YES that is what the DOOR says. 80 is correct based on weight and is correct loaded and unloaded.
BUT.....the rear pressure of 65 is for FULL RAWR of 9,750#. What is YOUR RAW and what pressure are you running loaded also solo on the rears?
Glad that they have gotten off of the 65psi for front from years back I have been running 75/80 since May of 07. Now for the rears my 07 has 45 for unloaded and 65 loaded, I found that around 55 is a good number for my 10,000# 5th wheel toy hauler with or without the toys.
