RE: water pump

As others have said .. follow the noise. And BTW - water pumps tend to be very noisy and there are plenty of threads (use forum search feature) which provide various methods to make them less of a problem.

RE: 2002 E.450 c.class starting issues

Having a rig sit for 3 months is no big deal ... most of us let our rigs sit that long during the winter months w/o experiencing a problem. And gas sitting that long should not present a problem for an E450 - I doubt seafoam is going to solve your issue. Agree with Wizard ... having a stuck IAC would be something to rule out.

RE: Stairs not working

Over many yrs I have found that almost all of my step issues have been related to corroded/bad grounds, loose wires, and low/bad batteries. Kwikee used to have a pretty good diagnostic PDF on their website .. not sure new owner has the same. You can remove a cotter pin and the bar that connects the step linkage to the motor .. that should allow you to readily move the steps in/out and determine whether there is a bindage issue.

RE: Registering an out-of-state purchace

As others have said - don't sweat it. My wife was wringing her hands because her tags had expired and the smog testing stations were closed in Portland - it's the anxiety of the law abiding citizen. I pointed out that the govt maybe inept but the law enforcement officers have bigger fish to fry. We have at least 10 RV's parked within 2 miles of our house that have people living in them with tags that expired 3 yrs ago. Call the DMV - unlike the unemployment office they still answer the phone.

RE: Well water

SB a lot of articles/post on how to remove sulfur smell from wells. It's a common issue.

RE: Kwikee Step Motor Replacement

As others have suggested - step motors usually last a LONG time. Is the motor dead or have the gears busted? Is the step installed correctly? Do you have binding issues? You can remove a cotter pin and bar which which connects linkage between step/motor .. that way you can manually open the step and determine whether it moves smoothly.

RE: Upgrading to a better phone

I moved from a Samsung s-8 to a Motorola G Power which cost about $250 and have been very happy. The Moto was less expensive, similar capabilities, better battery power, more advanced operating system, and is more durable than the S-8 which is prone cracking screens.

RE: Tips for people with back pain

Depends on back issue. In my case having a stable/firmer driver seat made a significant difference ... that's kinda opposite from the pillow recommendation from your doctor. You may just have to experiment to find the right solution. In the interim .... occasionally pull off the road and relax/walk.

RE: AC leak, help!

Water intrusion associated with air conditioners is often associated with clogged drip holes from the evaporator coils - that would be my first step. Then check the air conditioner gasket ... often minor tightening of the 4 bolts can resolve problem .... sometimes you have to replace gasket.

RE: Decals cracking

Seven to ten years is about it for graphics no matter what you do. My rigs 30 yrs old and with a few minor exception the graphics are OK. I used an acrylic finish. How long they last may depend on how they are protected, where you live (ie how much exposure to baking sun).

RE: water damaged floor, Need guidance...

I don't own your type rig .... but when I installed new flooring I discovered that my furniture was bolted to the floor - that required me to have someone under the rig to hold the bolt why I unscrewed. May not be the same for your rig but thought this might help. Good luck.

RE: Gas leak on Atwood 8531-I’ve dclp

Might consider taking the RV into commercial propane dealer - have them fill your tank and ask them to check for leaks. In my area they would find/fix leaks for free.

RE: bubble on EPDM roof by the seam

Leave it alone. Never cut a perfectly good roof covering that is not leaking. Often times those bubbles come and go with temperature changes. X2. If you have cut it then you should consider a small Eternabond patch.

RE: roof joint sealing

Dicor should work fine - for extra protection consider using Eternabond but that will require you to do the necessary prep work b4 applying.

RE: LCI power steps won't shut off

Over the years when my steps act like they are possessed it always turns out to be low battery or loose/bad ground.

Your pics don't show up. Check out the Forum Posting Help and Support section at the top right of the page - it should have some info on how to post pictures.

RE: Bad Water Smell

When I sanitize I include the hot water tank - usually let the bleachy water sit overnight.

RE: Advice needed -90s Tioga

“Suggest you call a Ford dealer to talk about the air condition issue ” Who at any Ford dealer is going to know anything about a 1992 motorhome with a Ford chassis? It’s 28 years old! Believe it or not - air conditioning conversion issues are well know and my Ford dealer gave me a quote within a few minutes when I inquired a couple yrs ago. BTW ... my rigs a yr older than OP.

RE: Sidewall has delaminated near the top -- DIY Repair ???

The fix depends on what caused the delam (sometimes the glue separates because of sun etc .. but usually water), where the delam is located, how big the delam, and how extensive the unseen damage. A picture would really help.
