RE: Be careful with engine block heaters

It's not the block heater itself that is faulty it is the male plug on the cord, it will short out and cause some arcing. Happened on my 03 duramax and I just simply replaced the male end, no more issues. Purchased a new duramax in 2017 and shortly after the recall came out, same thing the male end of the cord, I have not had any issues with it yet. Have a 2020 F550 with the same heater and cord, so far no issues from it either.

RE: Would $7 per gal effect your RV lifestyle?

Price of fuel going up, price of everything going up, stock market dropping like a lead balloon. We may not stop using our motor home but it will most likely change our plans on how far we travel and how many trips we take this year.

RE: Advice on unique oppotunity

I have a Super C on a 2020 F550 chassis 6.7L diesel, finding a shop to do maintenance on it is not an issue. Having owned several motor homes on the E chassis, you will enjoy driving this one much better. I will never go back to a gasser.

Ours came with a latch that slides over in front of the 2 doors.

RE: Best place in Wichita Kansas Area for E450 alignment

If you don't mind driving to KC MO, go too Midway Ford. They work on big trucks and have been taking my Class C motorhomes there for years, they do great work never had a complaint with them, reasonable prices. They are located right by Worlds of Fun.

RE: Towing 6,500 pounds with a class C

I have the new Thor Omni XG32 Super C on the F550 chassis with the 6.7L Diesel and tow a 24ft trailer with 2 side by sides through the mountains of western Wyoming and Montana and have no issues with the 3k mile round trip and has more than enough power for the mountains, going up the steep grades it rarely down shifts and the engine braking is awesome coming down. Backing the trailer is not a problem either, the rear mounted camera comes in handy for backing.

RE: Opinions on diesel vs. gasoline

Had several class C with the V10 engine, the engines never gave us any problems, But, they were noisy, lacked power going up hills, no room between the seats because of the dog house, put a lot of extra heat in the cab, always down shifting. Now we have a Super C, a Thor Omni XG32 on the Ford F550 cab and chassis with 6.7L diesel, It drives and handles so much better than the van chassis, it's much quieter, plenty of room between the seats, no heat in the cab from the engine, rarely down shifts and goes up and down hill's or mountains with ease.
Would not own a gasser again, night and day difference.
