RE: Norcold fridge issue

Norcold fridges have a issue that needs to be reset. first thing is to make sure no gold or yellow is showing on the back of the fridge on the outside looking in. A pencil magnet will reset it but I might not be able to tell the exact spot. The reset switch will come on and another way is to unplug one or two wires and I don't know where but you might ask or look up to see if what I just said comes up . You had no answers so maybe you will get more information after my post to correct me or add to. Hope so. chevman

RE: 2017 Ford dually tire valve stems access help please.

chuck your problem is fords have a very nice wheel but not for adding air. Been that way for years and because of that I learned to like our steel wheels. Hand can go into the area to air the tire. chevman

RE: Trailer Brakes Shorting Out - Controller shows overload

Do the trailer brake wires run inside the axles from one side to other? If Yes...wire probably has been chaffed causing insulation to break down. that is what happened to us and the fix is run a wire on the rear of the axle tube and zip tie and connect the wires. chevman

RE: Multiple blowouts in short time

Buying a new TT tomorrow. Endurance 15" tires. Only 2 sizes. One is 600 lbs higher capacity. Happy to not be China bombs. Will buy the higher load. Chevman

RE: Anyone pulling over 12K with new Ford 7.3 Gasser?

We had a 2001 8.1 gas engine and 3500 2wd dually. We have a 2005 3500 2wd duramax and have driven on I-84 many time with both trucks. Going down the cabbage hill for 6 miles in Oregon there was no difference in being under control towing the same fifth. chevman Does your 2005 Duramax have an aftermarket exhaust brake. Exhaust brakes are now standard equipment and make a big difference No it just has the allison holding back going down a grade. Has worked great on any mountain we have towed on. Heavier fifth wheels should have a truck with the exhaust brake. chevman

RE: 75 Speed Limit - How Fast

My combination has a sweet spot about 62 mph. Have found going close to 70 saves no time for the long haul do to reduced economy and more fuel stops. same here on the 62 mph was our trucks best mileage. Insane is to have 80 MPH speed limits. Might go faster if an MS-13 was on our tail chevman

RE: Caution

New ford edge was being towed by a friend of mine and both rear tires were flat on the tread. parking brake came on. left at a ford store and nothing was done or figured why it happened. It was a long story so he bought a car trailer and carried it back to Canada to the dealer where t was purchased. I need to find out what happened. the last time I saw them was when my wife fell out of that car and broke her leg in 2 places in January. chevman

RE: F450 vs Ram 3500 DRW tow vehicle

In Wenatchee the GMC is across from the dodge dealership. maybe 5 GMC trucks and a long line of Rams. Not sure what that means. chevman

RE: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?

I ran across a bedding system today. It reminded me a little of one that used to be out years ago called the Trav-a-Sak. This one is called the Beddy's. It's kind of an all in one blanket, sheets, etc, and looks pretty easy to use. Does, or has anyone used this particular system? If so, what do you think of it? Here's a link to the Beddy's system. We tried the Trav-a-sak when we bought our first TT. One night was more than enough for us. Felt trapped. Camping World took it back. chevman

RE: Pin Box with Air

I just removed our airhitch from our truck and it was heavy. Rails were hard to remove also but an awesome experience having it and the air pin is also great. chevman

RE: For all you carpenters

Measure twice, cuss once. I had a heck of time installing crown molding in our house. Seems like every 4 or 5 cuts, the upside down and backwards cuts got the best of me and when I went to put it up had the angle backwards. That gets expensive after while. You have that right. I think crown molding at corner joints with it's compound angles is the trickiest molding to install. I won't even try it. I just use any molding that is flush with both the wall and the ceiling. Guy Crown molding would be much easier if everything was perfect. Not going to happen very many times. chevman

RE: For all you carpenters

All right, how many of you have screwed and cut wrong when it comes to 26" vs. 29" or 36" vs 39 ", etc. ???? Needless to say, today I was Installing laminate flooring ! Guy I know this is true. When you see a carpenter that seems to do great work it is because he has screwed up many times and learned from that experience. PS I was a long cutter but not much. chevman
