RE: Bushfires and Caravans

There are those who actually donated their old RVs to the fire victims of California Paradise Park. And after that Californians are now following the advice of the president and bought Roomba to clean their forests. They also renamed the city from Paradise to Pleasure as the president insist on the name. Joking aside, I hope Australia will soon put the fire under control. Enough of your political posts bashing our President. And this is NO joke to the people who have lost loved ones, their homes, the wildlife, and the suffering they have gone through.

Keep going, or stay at a RV park. If you had to use your "wild & crazy guys" you will regret it and it will create a lot of trouble for yourself.

RE: I expect a 10 cent price increase in diesel

Oz is a mythical land of flying monkeys, witch (witch hunts and witch hunters). A dig of the man on the White House who keeps on harping about our supposedly good economy, stock market, tariffs (being paid by the Chinese, according to him) and wall being build and paid by Mexico, biggest tax cuts in history that promised each one of us will have lowered tax by $4,000 to $9,000 (and I'm still waiting for mine). Yes. But at least the debt is dropping. :). I believe it doubled under the previous administration. And the stock market was at around 15,000. And I remember paying over $3.50+ for gas at the time and the housing market bust and the welfare roles expanding out of control. Jobs sent overseas, bad trade deals, and bowing down to the rest of the world got us into the current situation. Oh they are paying for the wall. Not coming here getting our jobs and sending the bucks back over the border into their economy by the billions. Get it??? It's called Chess...not Checkers.

Kind of interesting that politics is now allowed on the forum. It used to be a no no but it’s a free for all now. Also no more common courtesy or name calling restrictions. It’s gone complete romper room. Too funny. :) Yeah, kind of "funny" who starts these political posts, isn't it? The same person YS1.

The USA is now oil independent. Why do we as citizens permit our natural resources to be traded on the international market? Why do we provide military protection for oil companies that price gouge we the people? Very well said! And waste our tax dollars and put our men and women in harms way patrolling those hostile seas for the oil trade? We are working on getting out of there. Will take longer than overnight to undo the mistakes of the decades of past administrations failed policies and their NWO agenda bankrupting us all. And certainly the current obstruction is not helping one bit! :B

Yes. But at least the debt is dropping. :).Yeah, I don't think so. Yah, that was supposed to be a sarcastic comment. And if he just get a salary instead of making us pay for the golf, we would be able to reduce our $1 trillion deficit and pay off all our debts.:R Who paid for Obama's 8 years of golfing in Hawaii and all over this country? Golfing at expensive resorts that the taxpayers paid for? Trumps resorts, I doubt we are even charged for it. And they have their own private, permanent, rooms with their belongings that stay there. You know anything about the resort or hospitality business? Doubt it. Obama taking his entire family, and entourage, with him including his Mother-in-Law? All paid by taxpayers. Made us pay for his golf and his trips all over the world while his wife got on stage in foreign countries and gave our tax dollars away for 8 years? Did Obama donate one dime of his salary for any charity or causes? Or just line his pockets with his cronies and lobbyist money? His "book" deals that made him millions? How did Obama afford such lavish Estate in Martha's Vineyard on a $400,000 a year salary and stick it to us for his golf vacations?

RE: Homeless migration to RVs creating problems

You sure have a lot of animosity for the "Money Works for Them" people. Maybe some, would not say I have more animosity in total than the average working American. But unlike many, I do not direct any of that animosity toward the black, brown, green or another group trying to work for their money. I've worked for over 50 years. I put money away and invested it as I went along. I didn't spend it on booze. I paid tax on that money as I put it away, and I pay tax on the capital gains NOW. And that tax rate is 5 times more then the tax rate 50% of the taxpayers are paying. I'm proud to be a "Money Works for Them" person. I earned it. Good on you. I also worked over 50 years. And in those years I passed out more 1040s than I collected. Because I hired people to work for me, some would put me in the class "Job creater". But I know I saw a job that needed done, bought the tool needed and found somebody will to let me make money off their work. And now I'm also one that gets most of my income from my money working for me... Oh so you do not have any "animosity" towards Dr. Ben Carson, MLK, football player Jim Brown? How they made their money and are successful. Herman Cain, former President of the National Restaurant Association? How about the former President Barack Obama and his wife? No animosity for how they got their millions in wealth? No animosity towards Colonel Allen West? How about some of the actors who made millions? Morgan Freeman, Eddie Murphy, Denzel Washington? James Earl Jones? How about Oprah Winfrey? She made millions. Wally Amos Jr., Famous Amos Cookies? They all "tried" to work for their money and were quite successful at it. I am sure they all filed their taxes, TOOK every tax advantage they could to pay less tax as possible as they legally could to hold on to their hard earned money. They also used their wealth to by their million dollar homes, yachts, cars, luxury vacations, gave to charities, and have a stack of cash in the bank and investments just like the select people you seem to have a lot of "animosity" towards. This list is no different than the one in your head.

RE: MIA - Mexico

Mex loves people and culture of Mexico. It's sad to see a thread about him tarnished by the racism so prevalent in the US. I sure hope he is ok; we all know his health is not great. Nothing at all racist in the posts. I see you trying to make it abut race though. Mexicans have German, French, a lot of Spanish, Aztec, Welsh, and all the European ancestry, and Native Americans, and others separately identifiable and almost everyone else has some or all those heritages. x2 My previous post was deleted and my comments about how diverse this country is. Naio's comments should be deleted as well.

zigzagrv you nailed it. :) You put nothing in...you get nothing out. It is not going to fall in your lap. It's called "blood, sweat, and tears". And we are all not going to be the CEO of a company. But that does not mean someone else should pay my bills and GIVE me free stuff if I am not. Many of people's problems in this world are self inflicted. And those who truly need the help should get it. Too many liars and cheaters, milking they system and our generousity. Need to put a cap on it and send the message no more.

$22T debt/327M people = $67,000 debt for every person and double that for working adults. Now triple that debt with all the "free" stuff these imbeciles want to give away. 327M people and climbing with the 4 million pouring in, year after year after year, and their offspring they have while the numbers soar. We will never recover from this.

RE: Homeless migration to RVs creating problems

We all have the same opportunities in this country. Not hardly. How not hardly? How so? They do not have a brain to think for themselves? Stay out of trouble? We have access to so much information on the internet than ever before. Is ignorance an excuse now, gee "I didn't know"? No will to pay attention in school? No access to teachers or counselors in our schools? No books to study? Go to Church for support? No opportunity to choose their friends wisely and stay out of trouble? No opportunity to work one job? Two jobs to get ahead? Get roommates to save money? I did that much of my life. Volunteer? Use the Library? Use the many programs available to help people? Get counseling? People do not have access to birth control? No access to school, community college? No opportunity to joining the military as a means to get out of a bad situation, earn a paycheck, have a bed, a meal, and training? No opportunity to join the Reserves for extra income? And yes, I did that too. Both active duty and reserves AND worked 40 hour work week and took classes at night. No access to move anywhere in this country for work and better living conditions? I have moved over 28 times back and forth all across this country in my life for jobs. Not by choice, for survival. Pull the poor me card? The race card? I also lived in the projects with my single mother that had 3 kids after our father left us. Guess we could have just stayed there the last 50 years and say we had "no opportunity" to get out and created 3 more generations of kids on the government dole. This is the greatest country on Earth, "not hardly" excuse does not cut it, neither does "poor me" anymore.

RE: Homeless migration to RVs creating problems

Anyone old enough to remember when it only took one income to buy a house, car, feed the kids and enjoy life? Now it's pretty much mandatory that there be two incomes. So which came 1st, high prices or two income families? Two incomes due to buying too much "stuff", new cars, cars for the kid, college, sports, large homes, 6 cell phones, laptops, vacations, RVs, boats, TV in every room, new clothes, nails done, internet, Direct TV, eat out all the time, shop, shop, shop, instant gratification, mired in debt. Also, high school kids worked for their extra money, and did chores. We did not get much allowance or everything we wanted not like today, we worked. Keep buying all that "stuff" and you need 3 incomes. I remember wearing hand me down clothes, mom shopping at garage sales for furniture, etc. It is expensive to live in this country and we cannot continue to allow millions upon millions of foreigners and their offspring come here and pay their bills out of our wallets too. No wonder we are broke and people on the verge of homelessness and our local and state budgets are shot, schools in disrepair and teachers cannot make ends meet, overcrowded classes. Healthcare costs through the roof and they pay nothing...WE pay for that too. We cannot pay our own bills. How do wages rise if we keep bringing in "cheap" labor by the millions and they cannot afford medical, housing, school, food, etc. This is absurd. 22 trillion in debt but let's shell out the free stuff here and all across the world :(

RE: Homeless migration to RVs creating problems

For the good people that are so opposed to giving "free stuff" to the undeserving. Do you ever compare need? Now some members may think I'm aiming at them. So if you think it might sting do not look at your own taxes, check the value of your deductions! For example, do you think somebody earning a taxable income over $600,000.00 a year needs help from the government to keep a roof over their head? Same somebody owes $5,000,000 on their house and is paying 2% interest on their home loan. That interest is $100,000 right? That is $100,000 the home owner does not need to pay the 37% tax on. Using the $600 month rent that was thrown at me, that deduction would rent 5 apartments for a year. Now I know my numbers my be off, and I'm sure the calculations are simplistic. But I bet if you where to plug in your real numbers you will need to force your eyes closed... Why do you think it is taxpayers responsibility to go to work everyday, make responsible decisions in their lives, sacrifice, only to have the government take our money and give "free" stuff to those who do not make the effort? And minimum wage was never meant to raise a family of 4-6. Those jobs are entry level, learn responsibility, and move up the ladder. People do not think, or wait, to have a family before they can afford it. That is their decision. Everyone else should not suffer or pay for their decisions they made. Why should we be forced to pay for someone else's family when they should have waited until THEY can afford it? People are free to romp in the sack, just stop making everybody else pay for their night of fun, over and over and over again. This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard of. Get on birth control. Many people would have larger families but they cannot afford it, and do not want to live off of handouts and off the backs of others. That is called be an adult, responsible, integrity, morals, and live within their means. Being down on your luck, loss of job, disable, temporary help is one thing. And no one denies giving a hand up in those circumstances. Generations of living on the dole is another. It is a way of life now in this country with no accountability. Take the free stuff while driving your SUV, nails done, talking on your Apple phone. Half the country working to pay for the welfare and food stamps and free stuff for the other half is a serious problem and so is this mentality. People choose to drink, do drugs, have 6 kids...they do it to themselves. No one forces them. We have our own families, rent, food, and bills to pay. So take our food off our table and money out of our wallets for lifelong takers? No. Trying to save our money, for our future, that I guess, we do not "deserve" only to pay for others? Opposed to giving free stuff to the "undeserving"??? No one said anybody is "undeserving". They deserve to have education, a job, a safe environment to live. They throw those opportunities away with bad choices. Nothing is free. We all have the same opportunities in this country. It is your personal responsibility to use them to your advantage or not. Do taxpayers "deserve" to have their paychecks taxed against their will? No they do not.

RE: Homeless migration to RVs creating problems

https://i.imgur.com/bDcJ5ail.jpg We have many empty lots with closed strip malls. These would be a cheaper alternative to housing on bus lines. Malls are disappearing. City would be better to invest the money into converting them to this type of affordable housing instead of them lying in waste and complete eye sores. 1 - Convert one of the empty stores on the strip mall into a laundry mat. 2 - Convert one of the empty stores into a Licensed Daycare Center. 3 - Convert one of the empty stores into an afterschool program, could be run by the Church. Add a metal carport and storage shed. Low payment, roof over your head, and will help people get on their feet. Not free! Low monthly payment. We could also use these for 55+ Seniors who want to downsize and create communities for them too. RVs leak, FEMA trailers are junk. Government housing is not cheap to build and not appreciated if no skin in the game. We do not need to spend billions of government waste. These could be built off site and set on slabs. One bedroom and Loft for the kids. That's it! Get it done! 1,000's of these Cabins would be a welcome relief to many.

If people want housing, they can get roommates. I could not afford California and had to have a roommate. I left that abyss a long time ago. One parent can work days and one work nights. Parents can babysit each others kids. People have no will to solve their own problems. Why keep having kids they cannot afford? Because they can sign up for the free stuff. These programs need to be gutted. But they sure manage cigarettes, alcohol, cell phones, nails and hair. Blame drugs, blame Corporate, blame student debt, blame the Man in the Moon, but not themselves for their poor decisions in life. Then expect good old U.S. taxpayers to bail them out and pay their bills. I am sick of paying for peoples bad decisions in their lives and WE suffer the consequences for it. I do not want to spend billions of our hard earned dollars for more welfare housing, that people do NOT appreciate or take care of. Generations of families live in that housing and that vicious cycle never ends. Breeding will not get them out of poverty. I am sick of paying for other people's romp in the sack, it is disgusting, and irresponsible. And WHO gave the authority to take our money to pay for this nonsense! Taxation without representation. Where there is a will there is a way. We live in a "you owe me" society with too much free stuff handed out like candy and now we have millions of foreigners who do not belong here and thousands on the way to get on the Gravy Train. That needs to be shut down immediately, no free stuff for non-citizens from anywhere. Send them home. We have our own problems, just like they do. And it is getting worse by the day. This train wreck is at full speed ahead, we all lose if this continues. Somebody had better get tough and tackle this monumental problem and stop adding to it by importing MORE foreigners and illegals here. We cannot continue to spend billions of dollars on people who have no right to be in our housing, our schools, our medical care system, our jobs, our roads. We have neglected our own, we have thrown them in the streets, and it is pitiful. I read an article on Refugee Resettlement Watch that these 60+ year old refugees are on OUR social security and getting everything handed to them for FREE while our Seniors are suffering! This has got to stop, we are bankrupt. Well said. I could not have stated it better. WORAH............ Lakeside THANK YOU!!! They keep saying our Social Security will go bankrupt. Then WHY award our benefits to foreigners who have never paid a dime into it and no right to come here! That is OUR money we paid taxes and our employer matched those funds...it is ours. Go read the articles, it will blow your mind. We have no money for Medicaid, Medicare, but people who do not belong here can waltz into our hospitals and not pay one dime! This is infuriating. We cannot afford our own prescriptions let alone pay for the rest of the world coming here uninvited. We are giving away our citizenship like a Pez Dispenser! Our schools are overcrowded. End birthright citizenship. Their countries laws state if they give birth on foreign soil, then their child IS a citizen of their country. Give them a Certificate of Child Born Abroad and go home. People apply for Student Visa to attend our schools, they why the heck are foreign students, who are not our citizens, in OUR schools with no authorization and we foot the bill for $15K, per year, per student in our public schools? No money in the local budgets, but let's raise taxes and stick it to the American people. Baloney! Shut this down too. It is EXPENSIVE to live here and we should not be forced to subsidize or pay the bills of every foreign person on the planet dreaming of coming here. There are billions! We have NO housing for ourselves, how the heck do they "find" housing for over a million refugees, a million illegals, millions of asylum liars, thousands of TPS, millions of people coming here legally every year, year after year? And people wonder why we have no housing, cannot afford it, and are 22 trillion in debt with no end in sight. It is out of control. There is NO housing boom to house ourselves let alone 2 billion people on the planet. There are no new schools popping up all over the place. These foreigners have land, they have resources, they have oil and they NEED to go home and build up their own countries, not take our housing and throw US in the streets. Our jails and prisons are FULL of foreign criminals. There goes your local budget that is reserved for our citizens and our communities. Our children and their children are in for a rude awakening if this does not stop and get REVERSED and cleaned up. NO WONDER PEOPLE ARE RESORTING TO LIVING IN RV's. OUR QUALITY OF LIFE IS GOING DOWN THE TUBES AND WE ARE BEING THROWN OFF THE CLIFF. FOR WHAT???? THIS IS OUTRAGES.

RE: Homeless migration to RVs creating problems

Watched the video. Horrific. This is spreading like wildfire across our Nation. I am concerned about diseases, virus, plague if this is not addressed. That is why I say no more immigration from anywhere. We have our own backyard to clean up. Stop adding millions more to the problem. We cannot afford to live here and we cannot continue to pay their bills too. Many people "choose" this lifestyle. We do not "choose" to be subject to it. Nor should we tolerate it. These elected officials are not doing their job to stop this nor are the Judges who let them out. We have plenty of Federal Land in NV, NM, and all over. Set up Federal Tent Cities, keep costs down, set up Rehab there. They have to WORK and be given chores to earn their treatment and expenses. They have to complete on-line courses. Keep them busy. No free ride. Taxpayers are sick and tired of paying for all these free programs out of our paychecks. The violent criminals...put in Seperate Tent Cities. Our jails and prisons are overcrowded, many are because of all the foreigners coming here. They cost us a fortune. Short of putting them on Leper Island to get them out of our misery and theirs, Federal Tent City makes the most sense. No amenities and no Club Med! As far as the ones who need to "Get on Their Feet", start a pilot program "Get on Your Feet". Build the Studio Containers on abandoned lots on bus lines. They can live in the Container for 12 months, have to work 2 hours every week to maintain the property. Have to work and have half their pay put in Escrow for when the 12 months is up. No more babies, mandatory birth control. They have to move on after 12 months. No more lifetime of generations of poverty living off the backs of taxpayers.
