RE: Dissapointed with GS roadside assistance.

I had to be towed this passed weekend. In fact was towed twice. One of the tow company's pulled ebrake on in my Mercedes navion. Well that fried the ebake and the abs sensors. I'm a dully so to fix read axle had to be pulled. Oh and the reason for non starting was a fuse. Of course neither tow company's owning up. Anyway after two nights in Mercedes of Syracuse headed back to campground in Watkins Glen. Had a great day. Park wouldn't or couldn't extent my stay so left this morning after putting a new fuse in to get rv started. Then check engine light on so called service and drove back to dealership. Did I tell you I'm a single woman traveling alone with my two dogs. I have Family motor home insurance or thought I did. Apparently what I paid for wasn't what I got. Buyer beware!

RE: Need Information about Pacific Coast Highway Trip

We did it pulling 5th wheel a number of years ago. North to South in early sept. Hardly saw the ocean in Washington and Oregon the dog was so thick. Northern California was beautiful. Ferndale a gorgeous little town.

RE: sold our class a

We went from a 5th wheel to a Winnebago Navion last summer. My husband passed away this past January and I drove the Navion by myself (and 2 Labradors)to key West in February. Don't know if I will do it again but I did it. Easy to drive and manover. I never learned to back up the 5th wheel. Yes less storage but then just me now.

RE: Looking for RV parks near Boston MA

Don't think about taking your truck into Boston. Hight alone won't allow you in most of the parking garages. We live on the Cape and would never think about it. Only advantage biggest guy wins...if your aggressive!!!!

RE: Renting an RV in Alaska

We rented a few years ago. Three weeks in September. Don't do it. We'd been in our own 5th wheel so had idea of what we wanted to show our friends. Cold rainy, most things including buses into Denali had closed down. Suggest moving trip up a couple of weeks.

RE: Traveling Alone

I'm going to be alone in the very near future. My husband and I know it is coming. We traded our 5th wheel in this past summer on a new to us Winnebago Navion. He's ex military and we've used military campgrounds for years so once all is said and done I will start camping again. That said I will miss my husband of 47 years. He teases that now I will have to dump.!!

RE: Switching to Class C

We traded our 28 ft 5th wheel in this past summer on a used Winnebago navion 25.5 ft. Basically because my husband had always done the driving and now he can't do I can now do it. Yes we had to down size. Yes interior is smaller but I love it. Don't intend to tow for now. Uber or rent. Hope to be in key West for winter. Got long term rental car for $1800.00. You can't buy the hook up for that.
