RE: What to use to level trailer while parked

Many times the assigned spot slopes toward the rear. For an overnight, I have pulled in instead of backing. I have power cords and water hose if necessary to hook up.

RE: Back Up Camera

I rely on my rear camera more to verify that there is not an obstruction behind me when backing and as a rearview "mirror" while driving. I rely on my side mirrors to guide me when backing up.
I have the wireless Tadi Brothers but the wiring "harness" is cumbersome. Maybe the newer ones are better??

RE: SUCCESS removing frozen lock nuts on HappiJac turnbuckles

50-50 Acetone and Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)is an excellent penetrating oil. Once it starts moving, switch to 100% ATF.
Position two open end wrenches so that squeezing them is unscrewing/loosening. Start wrapping stretched surgical tubing around the two handles and things will happen rather quickly.

RE: loosing old members

Yes, I got several PM's from Steve that he sent me soon after I bought my Outfitter. I unsuccessfully looked for him a year ago.
His last known address is in St Johns, AZ, So I'm gonna send him a letter. Nothing to loose.

RE: Reddog1 "Wayne"

RIP Wayne. This is so sad to read and I remember when BradW passed the Mod torch to him. Yes, he was both helpful and considerate and his presence will be missed.

RE: loosing old members

I am still around, just not kicking quite as high as I once kicked. The 2004 Outfitter Apex 8 TC still gets a workout as it was used last year for our trip to Hyder, AK by way of Vancouver Island, etc. All of our October Colorado trips are also made in the TC. We also now have an Idle Time 23' fiver that gets some traveling action.

RE: Raising my 5th wheel

I would not hesitate to flip the axle. I did and was/am very pleased.

RE: Driving With a Pop Up vs Hardside??

I have no either/or experience, but we have been traveling with a 2004 Outfitter Apex8 with no feeling of being compromised. We averaged 12.7 mpg during this past year's trip to Vancouver Is, Hyder, AK, & Jasper/Banff.

RE: getting trapped inside a park

A GPS will get you in trouble big time. If something does not seem right, STOP, because it's probably not right.
I often take a walk through a campground following my expected path to be sure that all is OK.
