RE: Happijac issue

Have you tried changing the battery or moving closer to the fronts or sending unit? Have you tried manually cranking the fronts to make sure they aren't corroded?
Other than that, I had one Atwood remote die on me at about 1 year. The second one is still going strong 15 years later. You might have to buy a new remote.
Good luck. I manually cranked one of the Fronts,I will try the other and I have changed my position to be closer to the receiver, no difference, and I changed the batteries, still no good . Happijac gave me a price of $300 for a new remote. I found one on eBay for 100 but it said new/other, I didn’t like the fact that it said “other”but I bought it and i was sent the wrong remote, the model number was wrong . So when I get my refund I’m gonna try it again for the right one.

Happijac issue

I’m trying to get the remote for these to work with the receiver , but No! I can get all the jacks work at once and the rear to work ok , but the fronts don’t work, I have tried connecting cable to the receiver from the remote, and to reprogram the remote, but they still don’t work, right. It’s also very difficult to find someone who will service these Jacks . Can anybody give me some help?? Thanks

RE: Method HD wheels on beach

I have some Toyo Mt's 35 x 12.5 x 18's and are running the Method 305HD's and I have ran down to 30psi in the sand with my camper down in Baja. Didn't want to push it as it was kinda isolated.
Didn't "float" but they weren't a problem. Didn't get stuck or even close.
Got passed by an old station wagon with 10 kids in it on the beach.. That is great news! The method 305 HD’s are what I ordered! Thanks

RE: Method HD wheels on beach

Not sure on exacts but the HD's with bead grip allows you to go lower and still carry 4500 lbs. I go down to 20psi on my stock rims on the front, will only go down to 22psi on the rears.
BTW, are you getting bigger tires, I am interested in putting bigger tires on my rig so the differential isn't smacking stuff in the sand and so I can float better.. No I’m keeping my 18” Nitto Grapplers and I been on beach before with stock rims and no problem

Method HD wheels on beach

I just ordered 4 Method rims and I forgot to ask salesman if I could air down the tires to 20 lbs ( with tc on) to drive through the sand on the beach. Does anybody know if I can? Or will the tires be damaged? I have been doing it with stock rims for 15 years with no problem. Thanks.

RE: Sway bar for F350 pia

My 2005 F250 had the OEM stabilizer bars front and rear along with the outboard Firestone airbags with no interference issues. Does the Roadmaster install with the down links in front of the axle like the OEM? Where is your bar getting hung up?. Yes the roadmaster hooks up with the downlinks in the front of the axle everything is toward the front and we could not bring the sway bar around on top of the differential the airbag was in the way. I wish when I ordered they asked me if I had airbags

RE: Sway bar for F350 pia

Some airbag must under the frame rails while others mount outboard of the rails. Which ones are you running? outboard

Sway bar for F350 pia

I ordered a rear sway bar, a Roadmaster, my brother and I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how it went around a differential after a bunch of phone calls I found out that I have airbags and it would not fit. Does anyone have a Hellwig sway bar with airbags on an F350?

RE: Electric jacks manual crank

^I’m pretty sure disconnecting the wires won’t make a bit of difference. Or am I missing something.
It does make a huge difference, Grit Dog ... personal experience. It sounds like it's turning the jack motors - some kind of friction thru the wires maybe, I don't really know. I do know it is much less taxing on the drill when the wires are disconnected. I just pulled the plug out of the camper for each jack and the spin rate on 18v Mikita drill greatly increased.
2008 Lance 845 ...
Well yeah, the motor is acting as a generator and you're trying to power something when they're connected. does that mean I ruined the jacks by leaving them plugged in during extension and retraction??

Electric jacks manual crank

My 20 year old Atwood electric jacks finally died, I have tried numerous replacement of parts to try to get them to work again, but no good. I’m using a drill and an attachment to crank up It takes about an hour real PIA my question is, is there any kind of switch on the jack that has to be activated in order to crank down jacks manually, if so, I hope I did not damage anything. If anybody can help, please reply thanks.

LP Gas Detector

Anybody know if there is a way to test these, I pulled out my refrigerator for a repair and the LP detector kept going off ,it might have been residual gas since I disconnected gas hose from back of fridge ( telling me it works) or a low battery causing it . I just want to be sure Thanks
