RE: Small residential refrigerator replacement needed!

I always enjoy knowing the outcome of a member's question. Too bad some just don't seem to think about getting back to us. :@

RE: Small residential refrigerator replacement needed!

Maybe you don't have to buy a new one immediately just because of a broken shelf. You might not have to replace it at all if you can find a wire shelf that fits. I'm thinking of This type of shelf.

RE: Step to reach hitch pin

I use a folding plastic step LIKE THIS. They come in a number of different brands and costs.

RE: Norcold Refrigerator

Thanks for the help everyone. All is well now. What was the resolution?

RE: Norcold Refrigerator

I have the same problem. The door gasket is cracked and not sealing properly causing condensation on the inside top of the fridge. That condensation drips and finds its way out the front of the door and onto the floor. As near as I can find out, the door gasket is not available for purchase - you have to purchase the whole door.

RE: Dumb mistake

I would never knowingly put contaminated fuel into a truck with a $10,000 engine. If water makes it to the injector pump and it eventually grenades you will be looking at a huge repair bill. Better check the price for those diesel engines. Had a new crate 6.7L engine put in the truck in October 2014. Back then the engine was almost $16,000 and the installation at the Ford dealer was $23,800. Fellow here in the park had his 2015, 6.7L Ford take a dump. A remanufactured engine installed is $15,000. No way would I take a chance on that contaminated fuel unless it was run through a proper oil/water separator. Ken Your are correct. I believe I was thinking of the premium paid for a 6.7 engine over the standard gasser engine.

RE: Dumb mistake

A few raindrops will settle out and be separated in your water filter. At worst case you will get a 'Water in fuel ' check light. If you do, stop as soon as it is safe, , open the drain on the bottom of the filter and let it drain until the droplets 'sheet off' no longer 'beading off ' as droplets. A few pumps on the primer pump will help. Use of a diesel fuel conditioner like Howes, Sea Foam or Diesel Service will dissipate water , for dissipation, not ridding the water. Even treated dissipated water is harmful to common rail HPS diesel pumps. Avoid the issue, deal with it, do not try to 'treat'' it away. Seems like a lot to go through for $20.00 I quoted wrong post.Message removed......

RE: Texas Boys! Last Call To Winterize!!!!!!!

Wonder if there's a run on F150 hybrids? It would be a lot cheaper to buy a generator that puts out a lot more power.

RE: Aluminum Boat above cab and hood

I have one I use to haul a 16' canoe. It works very well, but putting your boat up there would be more than my tired old body would want to attempt. I'll probably quit hauling the canoe before too long as age is catching up with me. There is a company that makes a roof mounting system that mechanically pulls your boat up without all the strain of the goal post system. A google search should find it.

That would be a deal breaker for me.

RE: genny conundrum

Go to YouTube type in Custom 1 man generator mount Fellow river came up with just what you looking for. Outstanding idea! I would want to somehow cover the bottom cutout in case of road spray.

RE: Fresh water tank

Insects like to crawl up lines and build nests that cause blockages. Mud daubers are especially bad about it around here.

RE: Generators for 5er

Electric and remote start. They also have a dual fuel for $1100. I cannot imagine trying to run two 4500 Watt generators on Propane unless connected to a bulk tank too big to be hauling around in a pickup and 5er. They would blow through a 20 pound bottle in no time.

RE: Macerator pump questions

My experience with the macerator is the same when it comes to needing to flush the black tank several times to get everything out. It just doesn't flows fast enough to carry all the solids with it.

RE: belly liner repair

The silver metal tape used by HVAC service people. It sticks and is not affected by heat or cold. Not duct tape!
