RE: Who can be the last poster?

86 today should get to 77 tonight. It will cool down Friday to the upper 50s at night and the 70s in the day. It will be good weather to work in the yard.

RE: Who can be the last poster?

It was 86 today but will be in the low 70s tonight. Time to mow the lawn again.

RE: Directv/ATT vs Local CBS station... Question

Most all of the local stations have been purchased by a company or group that owns several channels. They sell the package to TV providers at increased prices and force the TV provider to provide channels that many subscribers do not want to watch. To keep cost down the TV providers will drop a package that may contain a channel you want to watch. I have DISH who dropped my local Fox station in a price dispute with Sunbeam Television Cooperation over retransmission fees. I have an indoor antenna that picks up my local Fox station. I purchased a USB tuner that is designed to work with my Dish equipment and attached my indoor antenna to it. I now get my local Fox station on my Dish DVR just like any other channel.

RE: Who can be the last poster?

Was going to do some yard work but it is just to cold. Must be in the low 60s. I did open up 5 coconuts for DW. The trees keep dropping coconuts all over the place. My mango trees are in full bloom now.

RE: Recommendation for Folding Hard Tonneau Cover

The reason that I had tried to order, it would also be discounted at the GM Employee price. I appreciate the input on these. Just trying to buy the correct hard cover the first time. I have had roll-up and soft tri-fold. The tri-fold was not as convenient to use the full bed. I saw that some of the hard tri-fold would stay upright at window. And then I wondered if that interfered with the bed camera. The cover looks nice and is flush with no seams. But it is black and in the hot summer sun you could burn your hands rolling it up with out gloves. It has no lock or key hole to get dirt in. You have to first open the tail gate then pull the cord to unlatch the cover. Sure a bad guy can pry it open just like most any other cover. Take a look Towards the end of the video they talk about the folding cover. I am happy with my choice. If I had a 6.6 foot bed then I may have considered the tri-fold.

RE: Recommendation for Folding Hard Tonneau Cover

I have a BAK Revolver X4 Tonneau Cover. It is a hard cover that rolls up (on top). When rolled up it does not block my bed camera. I ordered and installed it my self. I have zero water leeks. I get a few tea spoons of water from the tail gate (tail gates are not sealed like car doors). It fits flush and allows me to use the bed rails. I have an 8 foot bed and a folding cover will get really heavy and tall when folded all of the way up. I can install a 40 gallon axillary fuel tank under it with no problem. It will hold 400 pounds evenly distributed. GM gets their folding cover from Bakflip. Their are a lot of factory install videos on most brands of covers.

RE: My truck has a winter beard!

And I thought bird poop on my TV was bad. What is that stuff on your Ford. My GMC has never looked like that. What is that white stuff on the ground?

RE: Wear Two Masks?

Interesting I wonder why no DR has suggested you wash your mask after each use. All of my masks are white. The first thing I do when I get home is toss it in the washing machine. The first load of clothes we wash are the whites with bleach. Have you ever coughed or sneezed in your mask? It is cold and flue season.

RE: RVing with a parrot

I travel with 3 parrots. I have Max air vents over my fan vents so I can keep them open in the rain or when I travel. But, then I had a TT not motor home. I would use a environmentally friendly chemical. My birds travel in the TV with me.

RE: Tire went flat in the driveay. Damage?

If you don't use metal valve stems then use the shortest valve stems you can find. Long valve stems may get damaged from the curb or a rock.

RE: Making Oil

I had the same issue with my 2008 Chevy 2500 Duramax. This was a well documented issue at the time. During regen fuel is injected into the piston during the exhaust cycle which which pushes unburned fuel through the exhaust system into the DPF where it burns the diesel particles. Some fuel would find its way back into the oil. Many people corrected this issue by deleting the DPF and reprograming the engine. The problem was corrected in later years by injecting fuel into the manifold during Regen.

RE: Removable 5th wheel hitch?

12 feet long and 140 pounds each. Sounds like a Hobie Pro Angler kayak for each kayak to weigh that much. A 5th wheel with a garage would work best. Or a get a TC and tow the kayaks behind it on a trailer.

RE: Arctic Fox 27-5L Height with 2nd A/C

Or the low profile AC was temporarily unavailable. Many RV parts are hard to get at this time.

Tampa RV show

In the past we have driven the 4 hours to Tampa for the RV show, enjoyed the show and drove the 4 hours home in the same day. This year we are afraid to go to the show due to the pandemic. It is driving me crazy to know the RV show is going on at this time and we are not going. We are both high risk so I wont take the chance of one of us getting sick. So, I have been watching Traveling Robert at the Tampa RV show on his YouTube channel. It is the next best thing. If you go to the RV show tell us about it.

Looks like the last of our 56 degree nights for a while. Going to be back to the 80s for a few days.

RE: Portable Generator

The water heater can run on the lower watts but it will not come to the full 4500 watts and may take longer to heat up with no damage to the heating elements which is why your water heater will work. The blower fan on your furnace is what is going to use the most wattage in reference to your furnace. Just like the blower fan on a RV furnace. If you cant find a plate on your furnace displaying the total watts your furnace uses try the manufacture's website. Multiply amps by voltage to get watts.

RE: Portable Generator

It will run the three refrigerators, one freezer and garage door opener and tv with no problem at the same time. I don't know how many lights you want to have on at the same time, but it should run all of your lights at the same time. Just turn off the lights you don't need to use. You need to see how many watts the furnace and water heater use. My water heater has two 4500 watt elements. I have a 6500 watt generator. I turn only my hot water heater on for 30 min. This gives me enough hot water. Then I turn other things on. The more stuff you turn on the more gas you will use. $$$
