RE: Putting new decals over old.

I've had terrific luck with a product called GraphXOff. Its a thick gel which is applied with a paint brush. Let it sit fir about 10 minutes and the decal bubbles up. Take a plastic scraper and remove the decal. Reapply the GraphXOff on the remaining glue, wait a few minutes and the glue residue scrapes right off. It won't damage the paint and is easily washed off. I've used this for 5 years now. As the decals deteriorate, I remove them(and don't replace them).

RE: Vanleigh RVs

Since being bought out by Thor and its history of destroying brand reputations, I'd be very leery on buying a new one.

RE: Opinions on Grand Design Fifth Wheels

As a 6 year owner of one and a frequent RV show attendee, my opinion is that GD charges a premium price for a rig not built or outfitted with any better appliances/components then Keystone, Jayco, or any of the rest in the $40-$60 thousand price range. Two things happened to GD that to me that diminished the quality; they got too big too fast and they got bought out by Winnebago. The GD faithful will vehemently dispute that but around 2017 when sales really took off and the original 3 owners of GD sold out(one stayed on) the complaints about quality really started to increase. If I were looking again, I'd base my criteria first on floor plan/livability and then on price comparison. If a Jayco or Cougar has a similar floor plan and was cheaper, that's where I'd go.

RE: Blue DEF

Blue is fine for pulling a 5th wheel. ??? And what pray tell do we use when not towing? DEF is DEF. The only difference is what you pay for it.

RE: Henry Tropi-Cool VS EPDM Roof Coatings

These costings are just a temporary bandaid that needs to be replaced again and again. Fine if you are getting rid of the rig in 2-3 years. Bite the bullet and get the RV Armour roof. One and done. Throw out the caulk gun, dicor, paint pans and rollers. Another benefit, it keeps us old guys off the roof and out of intensive care.

RE: Thanks to Colorado Springs Dodge!

A great lesson for those that are just too busy to get recalls taken care of. The OP lucked out big time.

RE: Gen-Y 5th wheel goose neck pin box

... Also Lippert is making their own version of the goosebox which will be out soon Knowing LCI penchant for quality (sarcasm on blast), I bet that'll be a quality hitch. Probably fold up like a walmart tent in a sandstorm.

RE: 5th wheel adapter for goose neck

Lippert has approved the Reese Goose Box for use with their Frames. And the reason for that is because LCI and Reese are in financial bed together.
