RE: Easy toilet fix

Thanks for the tip. I'll remember that next time it happens.

RE: Covid in RV Parks

If you have Type A blood you might want to take more precautions against exposure: https://www.livescience.com/blood-type-coronavirus-respiratory-antigens.html

:RWe all know the reasons why Covid is still rampant. It will never go away because of deniers.

RE: Windshield replacement at our site...

I love hearing good reviews. If you will post it on RV Service Reviews it will help others and give the company a boost, too.

RE: Hwy 5 to little gold and Dawson City

I've stayed at Pioneer Park in Fairbanks more than once. It was $12 in 2019. Dry camping, an actual parking lot, but safe and there's a lot to see in the Park, itself, like authentic cabins that have been relocated and the air museum. While you're in FB, I highly recommend the Riverboat Discovery trip. I guarantee you will enjoy it. https://www.riverboatdiscovery.com/

RE: Prescott, AZ to Quartzite?

Offhand I can think of a whole list of roads you'd like even less.

RE: Prescott, AZ to Quartzite?

IMO, the main issue with the 89 south from Prescott isn't the switchbacks, it's the cyclists. There are no shoulders on the road and they can make the drive unnerving. The Skull Valley bypass is a viable, though not as scenic, alternative.

RE: Keeping fridge door open while in storage

When I leave my AZ home for the summer, I fill the refrigerator and freezer with crumpled up brown paper and keep the door shut after thoroughly cleaning and drying it. Been doing it for years. Leaving the door open when it's hot (I leave the A/C on 88 degrees F) can dry out the gasket if the door is left open.
In my RV I leave my refrigerator running all the time but if I were to leave it off, I'd do the same.

RE: Alaska 2022??

The gas price increases were happening even before the Ukraine invasion. We need to develop our domestic resources.

RE: Locking gas cap

Hate to have to say this but the best solution is to stay with your rig when you're not in a secured park. :(

RE: Yuma Arizona

Anita, most of the 55+ seasonal parks permit short-term visits by children. The park you choose will be dependent on your activities and interests. There are many parks in Yuma.

RE: Is an old fantastic fan worth fixing?

The new ones are junk, IMO, compared to the old ones. If you can fix it, do so.
BTW, PPL often has parts you can't find anywhere else.

RE: Is there a Class C that can be driven into sketchy terrain?

My Tiger meets those criteria but it's not for sale. There are few used ones available but you might look on the Tiger forum here: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/tigerowners/ Or you could order a new one here: https://www.tigervehicles.com/

My Canadian neighbors made it here to the Yuma Foothills a few minutes ago. Glad to see them and glad they made a safe--and apparently very fast!--trip with their huge new fifth wheel.

RE: More garbage that'll get us ALL banned from National Forests

It's pathetic how little actual law enforcement gets done. The primary issue is the limited number of agents in the field to cover a vast landscape.
The officers depend on staff and public info so the more leads they get the more effective they can be.
More likely, the budget is spent on office staff rather than field agents. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want rangers constantly harassing legal campers but when there is a two-week limit, that limit should be strictly enforced. This kind of junkyard didn't happen overnight. This is why we can't have nice things. :(

This is for my late dog, Bucky, who passed a few years ago. My current dog, Pancho, has only been to eight states so far.
