RE: Lance lite 845

I have an 06 845 with no a/c, I would not sell mine for that price in any market. I would add another $2500 on to it. Will the camper fit with tailgate down and open or do you have to pull it off? You need to remove the tail gate. Plus there is no need to carry 70 lbs around with you.

RE: Rebedding jack mounting plates

Last wwek I removed one of my jacks it had butyl tape under it and it was still pliable after 16 years. I remounted the jack with new tape, screwed it down, let it ooze. I then cut that off and applied a new product recommended by a service tech, Excel, it's clear non silicon and very easy to work with.

RE: Billings Montana to Yellowstone

I don't remember the route numbers but, Billings to Bozeman to Ennis and then south to West Yellowstone. It's just a little longer but the road is less crowded and fewer curves.

RE: Chevy 2500 HD truck shortage

Not Chevy but Barron's just posted that Ford would be shutting down some truck lines due to the lack of chips. I imagine other manufacturers will be doing the same.

RE: Leaving Camper on the Jacks

I just loaded my rig after 18 mo's of sitting on the jacks, it's an 06 and it's never been on anything but the jacks when off the truck.

RE: Need some help

Go to You can find a nearby testing site on their website. They pressurize your camper then detect leaks using a soap solution. There are also you tube videos on some home made methods. Good luck. Thanks found what I was looking for.

Need some help

I have a leak in my 06 Lance that I can not locate it's source. There is no staining on the ceiling or walls but there is a spot on one of my jack feet that is wet for days after a rain. I can feel the moisture on the underside of wing. I'm in N. GA. and there was some discussion on a similar problem someone had. During that conversation a r/v repair facility was mentioned here in north or east GA. I have tried several searches but I have not been able to locate the facility. It was not Camping World or any r/v dealership, just a repair facility. What I'm looking for is the facility that does a pressure check.

RE: Do NOT use Flex Seal on your camper roof!

Sometime ago I used Flexseal both the tape and spray on my woodstove chimney and found it last just a short time. It became very brittle. I say that because I was considering using it on the roof of my TC, glad I didn't.

RE: Tailgate on or off

The tail gate is not necessary and it's an extra 70 pounds of weight you don't need to haul.

RE: TC Horizontal LP Cylinders

Looking at the above post my tanks never had a red plug and more times than I can remember technicians have loosened the adjustment screw to fill the cylinder. Instead of using the OPD they allow a small burst of gas to flow from the valve.

RE: Escape Hatch Condensation

What I did and it did not cure the condensation completely it did lessen it some what. I went to HD and bought a roll of the foil backed foam pipe insulation. I cut it to fit. Now it does eliminate light transmission but that doesn't bother me.Then I using the snap cover I put some insulation in the opening held up by the snap cover.
