RE: Indio, CA or Yuma, AZ Casino parking

For a stop for the night, Sidewinder Road just inside CA has BLM land to park on. Take the exit and go south and you will see lots of campers

RE: What is It?

Yup, it is one half of those cake pop making thingies. Just something that everyone in an rv needs to haul around

What is It?

Anyone know what kind of pan this is? What do you cook with it?

RE: Locked Out!

I'm guessing all your windows are also locked shut. If not, crawl in and unlock the door from the inside.
This is the reason I always leave a window unlocked

RE: Advice for the best printer cartridge.

I'm using cartridges from here. Peach Tree Ink. They work perfect and are lasting longer than OEM stuff

Replace the battery. It is not hard to do, just watch a couple of uTubes and you are good.

RE: Custer State Park

WE worked at Sylvan Lake one summer and can vouch for Horsedoc's recommendations.Don't even think about taking an rv thru those tunnels. Those tour buses are the narrow 96" bodies. The 102" body's will not make it.

RE: Canada law on fuel tanks

If Canada will let people cross the border with a trunk full of loaded 6 gallon gas cans, you won't have any trouble

RE: Window fog

My first fogged window happened when the coach was 3 months old back in '01. I have since then had a few repaired and now have a couple more to get fixed. It is the nature of the beast. There are two types of foggy windows, those that have fogged and repaired and those that will fog and need repaired.

RE: GPS / CB Choices

One word for a GPS, Garmin. You don't need the most modern, fancy one but buy one with the traffic and lifetime map updates.
For a Chicken Band radio, do not get the all in one mike, radio. Cobra is a good brand and you can install yourself. Watch some uTubes and do a little reading and you can figure it out. Otherwise look around some of the larger truck stops. There is usually a cb shop close by

RE: SD Address, yay or nay?

If you buy in MT and then register in SD, you will be paying sales tax. More importantly, you need to consider your medical insurance coverage

RE: Is 70 to old to travel with a RV

Good Lord, based on the OP statement, I should have given up 5 years ago. I'm not home now, so should I sell now and return by Uber just to be on the safe side?

RE: disappointing info for Jeep Trailhawk flat tow

If you have that little button on the console or wherever, I would follow the instructions in the manual just to verify. I would also do some internet research to verify what you were told by customer service. They have been known to give bum info

RE: Installing a safe?

If you can't bolt it down to something substantial like the frame, don't worry about it. Having one sitting around makes it easy for me to walk out with one package.

RE: ??? Full Body RV Re-Paint Job, 15 yrs old, its time ???

I had mine done in Oregon. Expensive at $25K but it is actually better than factory paint. Everything was removed from the coach, not taped around and that adds labor. Plus no sales tax in OR.
You can go cheaper if you are doing decals over paint
